True, the ride on bad roads is not very good. So I keep my tyre pressure a little lower. As the mileage of the petrol city is quite good, it does not make so much of a difference. I will be later upgrading to a higher side profile tyre for better ride . Engine of the car is really good. Very reliable car. Have it for 2 years now, no problems.

@@superblr Yes, there is some in cabin rattling noise. It comes and goes. If u drive it fast and rough, u will get some rattling in our Indian roads. It is less than a maruti, but I think the European cars have less.
I think Honda will get the suspension right in their 2020 model. The little bit of rattling in cabin noise can be not heard by switching on the music . Still, I think the petrol engine is damn good and very smooth. U will enjoy driving this car very much.

Just watched the video review. Very user centric video, well composed and thought out. As for the car, I own 2010 as well as a Apr 2017 Zx variant. Engine in both the cars super. After driving the manual, I love the CVT especially the joy stick [paddle shifters]. Road handling on high speed is just not comparable with the 2010 version [ despite the upgraded suspension -paid for - because of bottoming out issue]. Very disappointed with the suspension. As you mentioned, every small pot hole can be felt, almost like the good old Indica Taxi. Have been wondering how the suspension can be retuned without hampering the warranty..
How much should one pay for used honda city v CVT 2017(47000 kms) model?

Talking about the ride quality and handling, as you talked it was not up to mark. My personal experience on it is if you upgrade the tires to 195/65 it will just make the handling awesome. Including the high speed stability, cornering and confidence.

I too own a Honda City ZX. it's so relaxing to drive in traffic and highway..
Few days back, i enquired for sedan comparing Honda City vs Nexa Ciaz. What made me bend towards City is firstly the engine power. But the major thing i found when i was almost towards Ciaz, as soon as I sat in rear seat of Ciaz, the rear seat headrest was very uncomfortable in even the top variant. So finally this made me move to City with no arguements.
Nice and honest review. The first VTEC was a fab. The driving is so enthusiastic. But for now... all that matters is rocketing fuel prices.

How is the pickup in day to day riding and highway riding?3. Difference in mileage between manual and automatic?4. How is the refinement of the City, is external noise/ engine noise audible within the car?5. Maintenance and running cost between the manual and automatic6. Spare part availability and cost across tier 2 cities7. Service center experience across tier 2 cities8. Can the ride quality be improved by upgrading the tyres?
If I have to buy a petrol sedan which offers better driving experience and ownership experience, which one should it be, city or verna?
Arm rest i think was kept that way to keep your arms comfortable! Look at the angle it moves down to! :)

I'm a happy with my car and its after sales service it has jst crossed 4k mark in 10 months as i dnt use car in city... But me and my frns are planning to go for a road trip to goa from allahabad its nearly 1800 kms.... My qus is... Should i go without any hesitations what points i should remember while going on such journey pls rply as i want an expert comment before my trip next month

Hai Rachit, nice review. After consultation with u and with few auto experts I have own Honda city ZX cvt (Petrol) model in Jun 18.
In these 3 months
I observed following disadvantages -
1. No parking sensors
2. Suspension is very disappointing, even small bumps can be feeled inside car
3. Touch screen of infotainment is not responsive.
But advantages are -
1. Very decent reverse camera
2. Nice LED inside n outside the car
3. You are expert but for me Steering is very responsive
4. GPS works good. When I approached flyover it shown way in 3D
5. Music clarity is superb.
6. Seating posture and overall seats are comfortable.
But I would like to know more about that mirror link facility given in infotainment which is still not used as even dealer is not aware about how to use it.

What will be better in petrol automatic Honda City or Hyundai Verna and also compare the price to specs.
Where Verna gives greater interior quality, responsive infotainment system, good high speed stability but city back with its superior mileage and it's amazing engine performance .As Verna top end petrol automatic has the same cost as of city vx variant.

I'm owning a honda city from 2015 and i like this car. You've said the exactly right thing. The ride is stiff, handling is kind of nutral. Steering response is very good but high speed stability is not that good like around 150kmph, you can feel the road undulations. But the manual transmission with the petrol engine is so damn good, i still swear by. I had a vento earlier, 1.6 mpi one. Which is fairly better car. But the city petrol engine is something else. But again, the interiors aren't that good quality, germans have way better quality. Now I'm gonna change my suspension setup and put some performance filters and mufflers. Then it'll be epic to drive.

I recently bought Honda City . I felt ground clearance is very less and it hits the pretty badly on driving. What can be done as the road at my place is in terrible condition. My engine guard is damaged now :( Could you please tell me anyway to get rid of this issues please
No bro ground clearance can't be raised you may try putting bigger wheels but i would say that wouldn't work that much

Verna diesel engine is better but in other aspects like comfort,better family car, steering feedback high speed stability fuel efficiency city diesel is better.

We should not stick to usb socket. What if after 1 year our mobile take 6 amp current, am I going to change the usb socket!!! Hence it is better to stick to power socket. I can upgrade my charger, maximum 1000 rupees.
The reason arm rest is touching the seat is to level the liquid if you are keeping a cup of water/coffee. Where we have better thai support they raised seat height where seat ends towards our knees.

If you guys don't affend by my word, I would say go for Renault Duster because of ultimate Ground clearance, Honda CIty, Hyundai verna and all maruthi/ TATA sedan fleet will not work before Duster. Sheer reason is because of bad indian roads. If you want to ride in rough roads as always in India choose the vehicle with higher GC, Duster stands out in that segment.
