- Vampire Survivors Part 13 - it's the Krochi revenge run. This time, I've taken bonus luck to help me slightly. In a shocking turn of events, bracer is the synergy item I didn't know I needed. You don't even need knife to make use out of fast projectiles, they're somehow just so good.

When I first saw bracer, I thought projectile speed would be useless since "the projectiles will get there eventually", but it's actually sick in this game. Who woulda thought?

Ngl that’s probably my biggest beef with this game, a lot of the effects are not clear at all about what they *actually* do. Like, it’s really confusing how cooldown influences some of those omnipresent weapons like garlic, or how speed influences instant effects like the whip. It’d be nice if it was a bit more clear how cool some of these effects actually are

Yes! Yesterday I had a similar run with La Borra and Bracer (and also spellbinder and candelabrador), it was so satisfying! The giant damaging zones just stacking on top of each other, really cool 😎
Add dommario or porta into that mix and get even bigger zones of borra
@@dhearyzikrimuhammad_0366 this and spinach, tome, duplicator(I was on library so tome was 7th passive), lancet and laurel got me all the way to 36minutes. all those La Borras tick so fast that reapers get constantly interrupted when the lancet wears off and you have time to reapply it
Just want to let you guys know that since the game developer is italian, the “La borra” item name comes from a popular meme from a tv show where an old lady (from the phone) had to guess the food from a sentece, stated by the conductor of the show, which was “it makes foam but it’s not soap”. The old lady on the phone said “la birra” (which means “the beer”) but the conductor understood “la borra” (which is very similar to the italian word “sborra”, that means… well, cum. So the conductor kept repeating “la borra? I cannot understand, what do you mean? La borra??” while everyone at the studio was either having a blast or sweating their lives out.
Well now you know, I figured apparently I’m the only italian here, since I haven’t seen anyone explaining this yet in the comment section.
Edit: I now saw what the item does in the game, so if you were wondering why it is white droplets… NOW YOU KNOW.

another thing to note with la borra is that its growth seems to scale with distance covered, not puddle lifetime
Not entirely true since if you have -30 percent projectile speed la borra actually shrinks
That's good design, allowing for it to synergize with more things, as with how it currently stand it synergizes with both duration and speed.
you're absolutely right about uploading the losses being a big part of what makes these videos good. if you only uploaded wins it'd basically be a let's play and a let's play of a short-run rogue-like-ish game with no story would be boring as heck. This is easily my favorite series you've done since Insrcyption and Poly Bridge 2

If you wanna have some sort of navigation on this map, dont leave the first square until you kill an elite there. Do not open the chest. Now you should have permament arrow pointing you to the starting square.

tl;dr not if you have map unlocked
before map was introduced there was no way to tell where you were in the world. Map loops in infinity, but on certain "squares" there was a chance for item to spawn and you had to count how many times you scrolled the screen to know when you gadu to turn or if you passed the square with item

Fun fact, when there is max xp on the screen, the new xp will start to accumulate then be placed all in a red xp, that's where the random big bursts of 2-3 levels come from
I personally enjoy finding some good stuff early on then standing still as long as possible, then leveling up 10-15 times

Spell binder; Bracer ; Empty Tome ; Spinach ; Duplicator ; Attractorb (+ Candelabrador if you can find it on the map)

King Bible movement reminds me of Aurelion Sol from League of Legends back when I played it. You basically had to attempt to go around the enemies in the way that would cause the orbs to hit more. Nostalgic... but the game is bad for my mental health in more ways than one, also they changed all my favorite characters to be meh so its not as fun
as someone who still plays that hell game and maind sol, he got changed and the stars don't stay out on a toggle anymore :( honestly kinda killed my enjoyment of the character, on top of one of the items he built being changed to be unsuitable for him. miss my boy.

Bracer, candelabrador, spell binder, attract orb, empty tome and duplicator + all of the weapons that upgrade from them is an automatic win. You get one free weapon slot and I suggest clock lancet.
You can exchange knife for any weapon you like as well.
I feel like Exdash, No meta, hard map, hyper mode would just be the most awful experience, and I kind of need to see it at some point
That is my favourite build to play. Exdash is broken good.

Ayo this guy is the only person who 1) plays enjoyable games, 2) actually plays the game instead of waiting half an hour to explain what to do, instead he just explains when he does something in a short matter of time. 3) is good at games. I may have said setting completely random and dumb.
You can scroll left and right and get the things that drop chicken and other items to respawn. There’s no real reason to not pick up stuff outside of trying to not pick it up if you may need it momentarily. You can test this on library by going left and right and seeing the item dripping furniture respawn very easily.
I just started playing a few days ago. The first time I successfully evolved a weapon, I got to level 80 and survived to 30min with soul eater, bloody tear, clock lancet, supplemented with laurel and armor. The other weapons and buffs I forgot. This was quite early, before I had bought much powerups though. I think the benefits of laurel and armor is really helpful for keeping you alive at high level, especially if you walk where enemies are frozen by clock lancet.

Love the in edge gameplay because you're totally right, not knowing if you're going to win just makes it so much more engaging.
A fun build I did the other day was Runetracer, Vandalier, lightning, both wands, and Garlic so things don't get too close. It was a fun little laser lightshow lol.
Luck is so criminally underrated. I always max it uut, even without the cross. The rain of items and heals is just op, and getting 4 options and better chests makes it even better.
Tyler I love this series and seeing how well it is going I and probably more people would like to see more rogue likes on this channel.
This run is so insane! I had no idea that bracer increased the movement speed of La Borra. Will have to try this build!

@@MrDarkbishop there is one way to kill it and it involves standing in one spot as clerici for 30 minutes and trying to get lucky after that, I personally don’t think that would be good content
I had a run with La Borra Bracer and Candelabrador and I swear it was as big as the +400% temporary area bonus character

La Borra on Dommario with bracer is ridiculous. They move towards you so fast that you have this blue circle of energy that acts as the ultimate bubble of protection and death.

Best synergy with this character has to be the knife. You're so fast that you want to make a hike to wherever you're going.

I just found out, that you can get 2 extra passive items in the library. The empty tome is on the left of the starting position and the mask on the right. If all passive slots are full, you can still add this 2.
6:17 In btd6 the rotating glaives turned into an aoe, the glaives rotating is just a visual, but for example, maelstrom, you still want it rotating against the grain.
One of my favorite early builds in this game is garlic+armor. Just running through enemies not caring if they hit you is so much dumb fun, lol

I don't wanna be a buzzkill in your praise for luck here but that was the first upgrade I max'd out, just for fun and it doesn't do any of the things I would imagine it to do. I never even considered chickens to be part of it bc I barely get any. I have consecutive rounds of not getting a single 3- or even 5- piece chest and I also barely ever get a 4th choice when leveling up, maybe once in the beginning but a couple 100 levelups later and I haven't had a 4th choice ever since. No cap! It seems like it's not working for me at all.
If you use laborra and the new super lightning together your biggest problem is trying to pick up all the crystals efficiently

An idea for a challenge would be to top deck upgrades, as in pick whatever upgrade is at the top of the list.
I just had an idea, what if the evolved birds combine with a non used secondary?
Maybe to better show off the upside of it bracer should be the synergy item because I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have one already. (correct me if I’m wrong (edit: i was wrong)) attractorb really doesn’t make any sense with Santa water since it doesn’t have any synergy

ya know, what if you could combine rune tracer and pentagram,
the combined one would be rune tracer but sometimes it draws a pentagram then does the insta kill
and then rune tracer would be buffed too ik its kinda not creative but whatever
It would be interesting if the Item in the map can give you an over level item, like in the library you have a tome. what if you get your own tome to lv 5 then pick that up to go to lv 6?

you should try a "no orbital run", any character, no meta upgrades and no "orbitals" items (no garlic or bible or birds)
does santa water count as an orbital since it attacks in a circle around you ?
@@hydration_fnf no, one may say that La borra is an orbital and it may be added as an extra restriction for extra challenge, but it doesn't really count as an orbital (tecnichally speaking garlic also isn't an orbital but it has the same function as one)
Hey Tyler I have an idea for a challenge. Only take the top choice when upgrading.
It's crazy what a difference the meta upgrades make. Even with just the ones you had and a pretty good start and build, you still almost lost multiple times. Whereas with full meta upgrades, pretty much everything works and it's not really that much of a challenge. Though I guess the fact that this characters is one of the worst also matters. With good characters, it's actually not so hard to win even without meta upgrades.
Either he’s really intuitive on game design or the game dev was literally watching these videos. Krochi’s 66 revive and a bunch of other tiny things that he said have been added since he said them

Where are you finding information for secret items on green acres? I've completed the games meta achievements and steam achievements and I haven't seen anything that you're talking about, nor on the wiki?
I know that the library has empty tome and stone mask that you can find but I've never seen anything on the forest

I think luck makes enemies more likely to drop higher level xp gems, because in your pentgram run with max luck it was all red gems by the end
nah in the end they all drop red gems , regardless of luck
luck doesn't affect exp drops, or else it would overshadow and outclass what crown/growth is supposed to accomplish
