My wife and I visited 1034 Audubon followed by lunch at Gus’s on Front street last month. This was our first time in Memphis and a long time coming, considering I’ve been an Elvis fan since Hound Dog/Don’t Be Cruel…1956. Standing in front of the home was surreal. The fried chicken was the best I ever had. After Gus’s we visited Graceland. It was a day I’ll never forget. Thanks for the upload.

Saw this and went to a Bham Gus’s today with a longtime friend. We were both amazed with the chicken! And the 4 piece dark was cheaper today than the 3 piece! Juicy, hot, not overly spicy. Delicious! We were both impressed! Thanks so much for the recommendation. I spoke with the manager and he was in Memphis this morning. 35 locations.

We agree, Gus's is THE BEST!!!!! We've eaten at the Atlanta and Downtown Memphis location. Both were good. I guess we have to try this one too the next time we visit the area. Great video!!!!

I had to go to a funeral yesterday because a lady that has too move out to Michigan passed away and we went to her funeral she was a nice lady I used she was living with her daughter too get help I used to help her with her decorations in the building and I called her grandma she was like a grandma too me

This one is the best location of any we tried. In Memphis at all the locations it’s just Fried Pies. Elvis was very angry about the neighbors wanting him out of there another reason Gladys had chickens also running around. They came and talked to Gladys and Vernon and said the neighbors wanted him out. Elvis was so angry he said I’ll just buy up the neighbors houses and they can just move. He put pool in and the neighbors loved him after that because he let them use it. Thanks guys

Several of the great live music venues had really good food too like Lafayette’s Music Room, Bar DKDC, and Young Avenue Deli.

I tried the one in Knoxville. Although it really was delicious, it was too spicy for me. I’d probably still eat it again though! The best sweet tea is definitely right! The Knoxville staff were so kinda as well!
It’s that good 20hr though would be a long haul. They have other locations probably closer that are still very good also. This one is our favorite one though. 😎😎
I have no doubt that Gus’ fried chicken is the best! I’m a dark meat guy so I’d get the 3 piece dark! I’m fighting Covid right now so I wasn’t tortured but I can still appreciate how amazing that chicken is. I really hope I get there some day!!
Wow, I saw that $57 and I said what did you buy then I saw you had bought a T-shirt for 20 that bumped it on up there didn’t it.. 😀 the chicken look really good it was they were not large pieces of chicken, so but a medium size pullet. They still look good and you seem to enjoy it. You can do away with the light bread. I don’t need that. If it’s not a biscuit, it’s not worth it. Do you know if the all sides are made in house? Like baked beans, coleslaw potato salad the mac & cheese is it all made there or do they buy it and bring it in? All in all it seems like it would be OK just to have a place to stop and eat. I probably have gotten takeout no sides. Thanks so much for sharing.

I have no doubt that Gus’ fried chicken is the best! I’m a dark meat guy so I’d get the 3 piece dark! I’m fighting Covid right now so I wasn’t tortured but I can still appreciate how amazing that chicken is. I really hope I get there some day!!

Wow, I saw that $57 and I said what did you buy then I saw you had bought a T-shirt for 20 that bumped it on up there didn’t it.. 😀 the chicken look really good it was they were not large pieces of chicken, so but a medium size pullet. They still look good and you seem to enjoy it. You can do away with the light bread. I don’t need that. If it’s not a biscuit, it’s not worth it. Do you know if the all sides are made in house? Like baked beans, coleslaw potato salad the mac & cheese is it all made there or do they buy it and bring it in? All in all it seems like it would be OK just to have a place to stop and eat. I probably have gotten takeout no sides. Thanks so much for sharing.

Guys was it totally necessary to push that crispy juicy chicken into my face.Also was it necessary to push that crispy hot pecan fried pie into the tv screen.I got so hungry I had to settle for an old chicken tender and a poptart Omg foods looked great

I drove by that one fairly often when I lived in Memphis, but I always ate at the one downtown since it was closer to where I lived.
