1:42 The "sounds so fun" origin story
LOL I WAS JUST ABOUT TO COMMENT THAT
Ryan S exactly
its funnier that he was being sarcastic
Gave me goosebumps
Hahaha
S O U N D S S O F U N
the guy looks like Brad Bellick from Prison Break
yeah wade williams
Exactly what i was going to comment lol.
eeJOKERee eeee he looks more like nixon
Like skinner from the x files
I was thinking that even before I read this comment LMFAO
''i tell you what... i cant sell this. you can give it to me for free and i will still be the one taking the risk''
you just DONT sell your grandma's gifts xD 😂😂😂😂😂😂
CANAL GG i
CANAL GG I
grandma is dead she says sell it and get the money.
You don't sell your grandma's gifts when it's your grandfathers Purple Heart. You do when it's plastic crap she got out of a comic book.
40yrs ago
$4 in 1960=$32 in 2017.
Sysco TV barely, due to inflation
That is literaly what he calculated
noob it's 2018
And $150 in 1960 is $1,240 in 2017
$34.00 in 2018
Little Rick: "Daddy, will you by me this submarine for 7 bucks?"
Old man: "No son, I just don't see any profit for me. I can give $1 for that?"
"That wasn't a joke rick"
Got deal from Rick, i thought he would only offer him 50$.
Motha Nug I was thinking $20
Rick: “Yeah, I know how these work, because I googled it before we started filming this.”
Nostalgic Rick 😂
He could have gotten at least $200
One just sold on eBay for US $46.00
Sure, I just meant he could have haggles a bit more out of him.
dude he sold a cheap ass pen for 150$ take the money and run lol
at 1:16 .. Chumlee is totally checking out the blonde with fat legs..
1:44 = Iconic Outro Audio
0:57 i can imagine the old man saying that
Rick looks like Homer Simpson!
Wow this guy caved fast
莫比 he didnt cave fast , he just wasn't greedy and knew 150 bucks for a stupid plastic toy was a great deal
What a nice guy
I can imagine Old Man Harrison (Rick's dad) saying, 7 bucks to much kid, I'll give you 2, and that's me taking a risk...
"Mr Brown and James Bond got along famously"
2:26 This is the fastest transaction in Pawn Stars history.
1:42 - Well, there's where the less famous part of the Mr. Brown outro came from.
I remember these pens!
hes like I sold my family memories for better memories
1:43 Classic
Mr Famous and I got along Brownly.
One just sold for less than $100
I had a similar Crystal Raido, except it was a Rocket Ship and if I hooked it up to the Phone I could hear people talking on the Party Line.
Wow, from 4 to 150 dollars? What an amazing flip on that item you had on you for 59 years...
He's a collector not an investor.
Chum: "I mean...maybe if I was born in the 60's."
Rick: "That isn't funny."
Chum: "That wasn't a joke, Rick."
Rick: "Oh, ok, in that case, you're fired."
Sounds so fun!
Good man 👍
Chum: Maybe if I was a kid in the 60s.
Rick:
Chum: That's not a joke.
Rick: Bahahahahahahahaha.
The difference is that your grandmother bought it for $4, twenty five to thirty years ago. That $4 is probably equal to $50 now.
Mr. Got along and I browned famously
I had one of those!
Best clip yet!

I caught the ball myself
Now I’ll always hear the line as sarcasm
danny coker gotta lol
Chumlee is so stoned.
When is someone going to say "I want to pawn it"????😆🤓
“Sounds so fun”
We always wanted the submarine too
You all remember the ' big league chew gum '? Man, I saved all the bar codes and send them in for the ring!! It never came in the mail.☹️. I got like four cavities chewing that gum! Lol
What I remember most from the back of comic books was Charles Atlas and his exercising method that would turn a guy into a muscle-bound Adonis.
Imagine trying to get money from your dad, and your dad is the old man
"sounds so fun"
Sounds so fun
The customer looks like the officer from prison break lmao like if you agree
yeah haha looks like brad bellick
LMFAO
Jet Le I was thinking the same thing.
Omg it does look like bellick my god he is poor
You hit this right on the head hahaha
sounds sooo fun
Mr brown and i used this pen famously
Better investment return than the gallon of gas I bought for 24.9¢ in 72, and sold in the recession of 08 for $4
$150?
Come back one hour later and you will see a price tag of $500 on it.
I went around the block washing dishes and pulling weeds so I could afford the submarine. It was a cardboard piece of crap but I loved it.
I'm wonder witch radio signals you can get in united state, back home in the 60s I use to play with this, back then in my country we had only 1am radio station, not sure if can get any fm signals
These were before my time but I remember my folks not buying me a Rambo knife
he looks like bellick from prison break
Gary actually used that spy pen to make a new friend by the name of "Mr. Brown" which legend has it has gotten along famously ever since.
Anyone knows the name of the tune starting at 00:47 ??
Sounds like tv show
There's another old saying that say's something about a fool & his money...
I wanted to see how it works
Orias X lol me too
He literally offers them half of what the customer wants for it almost every time.
If he offered customers the actual full price, he would be out of business! Lol
Customer says, "I want one MILLION dollars!" Rick is like, "I'll do $500,000 and that's the best I can do. I'm taking all the risk."
The customers often ask 5, 10, even 40X what their item is worth.
He said the pen wasn't that expensive but in the early 70s they got paid like a dollar a hour so ot was like they had to work 4 hours just for that pen
Oh Nooh Me Brown is back
Surprised he didn't even try to get at least $200.
$4 in the early 70's would be like $25 bucks today.
Rick sold it for $19,660 I bet.
Don't say that. People here will actually believe it.
I wouldn't trade $150 for something my grandma gave me when I was a kid. He must be hard up for some money.
2:41 blonde velociraptor
Who else liked that hot blonde “shopper”?
He's drunk if he wants $300....no more than $50.
The only thing real in this show that’s not scripted is the carpeting.
Real like rick and morty
yes but the 150 dollars now are worth the initial 4 dollars
“I never forgave them’’ hey honey will you help me plan your fathers funeral no you never bought me the toy when I was 8
Did this guy sell a lotus f-1 60s race car 🏎
Why is everyone a terrible negotiator on this show? Oh yea, it's fake. Still love it though.
Constantine P not even fake, dude just got 150$ and thought eh good enough
Yeah but you saw the way rick reacted. He could have easily gotten 175. And its not exactly fake, they do the deals off screen then film interesting items/people for the show.
Rizz CS no the interesting items are mostly fake, the ones which don't sell are just sent on for the purpose of teaching people something.
The items are real, the situation is fake.
Regular stuff like jewels and dolls tends to be legit
Pre- Man from U.N.C.L.E. communicator
Dallers
Wow, my dad worked as a custodian in the 80’s in Russia and earned $2 a month
Rick was 18 when he became father
Where is the infamous expert?
Rick is pretty switched on. When he buys things, he thinks about things. He actually could pay a bit, I honestly thought if he gets offered $50 and takes $80 that'd be awesome. But what Rick said is right, it might be cheap at the time, but as he said they would disappear after it was played for a week. It would be pretty rare, and I would have jumped at $150, if he gets $250, good on Rick.
I saved up all the upcs for Big League chew bubble gum to get a big league Ring. Sent it off never got my ring. 😕
*wow*
I would offer him 40 bucks
The reason they offer half is because they are a business trying to ale money. Half of what the pawn shop sells it for is what you get. At all pawn shops
april silvers Exactly, nobody clowns the idiots who here only the high end price and say thats what they'll take why the hell eould the buy it at retail to sell it at retail there is as many greedy half informed google experts selling as there is "lowball" from the staff I think most of the time they are fair if they want full value open a shop.I just like reading the pissy comments from people,if they feel ripped off they can grab their crap and leave nobody forced them. Lazy people are hilarious
I thought he over paid for that item actually. I’d be surprised if it’s worth $150 retail
Dang, that girl with the stripe dress >_< 0:50
bet it's a guy.
Selling something your granny got you?.I never sell anything ever,in a few years time I will have a clear out and retire on the money.
I used to order sea monkeys as a kid. if anybody remember them
It's not even a real Hofner 500/1 like Paul played! Looks like an off brand
100 percent junk... Wouldn't give a dollar for...lolololol...😂👍💕🔥⚾😷
at 1:16 .. Chumlee is totally checking out the blonde with fat legs..
ha ha sounds so fun chumley that's corny man
The guy may be happy but he's dumb, you ALWAYS make a counter offer!
Rick & Chumlee are thicc
Guys am i the only one who wouldn't sell anything inherited from my grand parents...
@i LOVE global warming! Now RAAAGE! nope. I believe sentimental value goes way beyond monetary value.
So you keep a bunch of broken junk?
Hey , did anyone actually buy one of those subs from the back of a comic book ? What was the scam ?
You know what would be a real novelty just want to Paul Harvey's Crystal radios that he used to sell used to make them out of cigar boxes and sell them I think for $0.50 little Crystal radios now that would be a collector's item I think I'm going to look it up on the internet and see if there's any for sale
