Sam also likes Age of War, which this game reminded me of, and is the main reason I backed the game.

If you choose not to use a grey additional dice, or are unable to, but it is still in your pool. Do you return it to the common pool after your attack phase, or keep it until the end of the battle preventing the defender from using it?

In the Polish version dices are very bad quality.

This game was in develop process since 5 years. So i think they're not still anything from kingsburg
Wasn’t this just on KS. How is there a review of it already when it’s not even done with production.
Not everyone starts a kickstarter campaign with just a vague idea of how the game is going to look in 2 years.
Sam has a near-final English prototype.
Final English version will be available October 2019 or sooner.
Cant everyone on the Dice Tower use this rating 1-10 everytime??
1-10 scoring means nothing if average games get a 7 when everyone knows 5 is the average of 10, it's not just board games but video games and movies have this score inflation too. A 10 is also meaningless because it suggests a game is perfect when that's obviously impossible, there's always some that could be better. Opinions also change over time, you could give a game an 8 now but next year it's gone down or up.

OMG NO! It's seriously all about how lucky you are with your dice rolls or drawing the freakin tactic/power cards that almost always win you all the battles..

the base game seemed a little lame at 2 player, I hope expansions will make it better
This is definitely just "a card-dice-rolling game that a viking theme has been slapped on to" Your warriors die when you win, but not when you lose? what the heck? Maybe if all activated characters die but only the winner can send them to Valhalla it would make thematic sense. Sorry to burst anyone's' bubble, but even a farming theme would have made more sense for this. You grow crops, but need to roll particular tools to grow them efficiently. Whoever grows the best crops will get to sell them at the fair. Or you know, just use the roman theme where successful strategic warriors could be "promoted" to senators or something, not f*ing die..
I agree with you from one angle. It is like - warriors won and are home and dry so let kill them upon return as a gratification.
However if you look at game from angle that you are actually god of war or death and picking characters is more like picking them to die. It is not battle of 2 or 1 viking vs other village - it is army vs army but per correct dice rolling you as a god of war picked characters that can die glorious way during this battle. Will that help you to redeem Valhalla theme a bit?

First thing I noticed was Sam’s Star Wars t-shirt. And I thought, yep, Disney has Mickey moused Star Wars. And to me that is a bad thing. Come on Disney, with all that money use some of it to hire a decent screen writer and Director!!!!! Rant over
The gameplay seems lame & nerdy. It’s not viking-like
