If I were to tell you that the Detroit Lions held the Dallas Cowboys to 20 points in Saturday night’s game, you would have likely thought they walked away with a comfortable win. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
The Lions offense couldn’t muster up much of anything all game. The offensive line struggled to protect Jared Goff, and the Lions quarterback also threw two costly interceptions, including one on a potential game-winning drive late in the game.
But the Lions got one last opportunity, and Goff led them to a potential game-winning/game-tying drive. Coach Dan Campbell opted to go for the game-winning two-point conversion. After initially succeeding, the Lions were called for an illegal touching. Detroit opted to go for it again, and didn’t convert.
Defensively, the Lions held strong-led by a three-sack performance from Aidan Hutchinson. But when Dallas needed a play, CeeDee Lamb was dominant. He finished the game with 227 yards and a touchdown, which was just enough to put the game away.

@@tiffanyisbae8190Simply because more than one person walks up to the ref doesn’t mean more than one reported. The lions were running a trick play. A DISGUISE. The 3 players walking up to the ref were meant to confuse the defense. Instead, it evidently confused the ref.

Absolutely I kept pointing that out and I didn’t want to complain like I have for many years. I just said well we have to play through it but what the refs did at the end that makes me think the NFL has really just lost any trust of the people I’ve seen comments from every fan base except the Cowboys call out the criminal conduct referees during this particular matchup multiple times.

2)Gibbs run to five yard line, called back on holding call on TE Mitchell, replay shows he's not holding.
3)Hutch held on several occasion, no call.

FACT that is almost never used, so I guess there should be flags every check in, and neither did the other o linemen.. it's over and done.. if I was a Cowboys fan I'd be worried how the NFL is going to make up for it like they did with Terrell Owens

#F refs! I stopped watching football almost 10 years ago because of refs bad calls changing the games however the refs decided. I started watching football again this year because I have lived in Michigan my whole life and the Lions are finally good! This game tonight reminded me of why I stopped watching football a decade ago. We always said back then that technology and cameras were needed to fix the refs bad calls but now we have that and it still doesn't matter. There is no excuse for the refs continuing to make these bad calls unless it is deliberate.

Keep in mind, the refs also called illegal tripping on Peyton Hendershot, when HE was the one who was tripped. That was a 15 yard penalty on 1st down, when a first down would have won the game. So the refs made that entire last drive possible. Something g shady was going on with these refs, and I’m a cowboys fan.
Cowboys got called for the same thing on Nov 5 against eagles but where were all the crying back then ,,stop the crying games aren't decided by one play

I didn’t really see him look at decker. I seen him looking at #70 who was running towards him as he did on a couple previous plays to check in and I also Noticed that #58 was standing between the ref and #68(Decker) when it appears to be the moment that #68( Decker) rubs his Jersey indicating that he’s checking in as eligible.

Mike, my brother, I’m with you 💯. After watching several nationally respected commentators give their opinions, and after watching Goff’s Presser, I’m convinced that the Ref fucked up and called the wrong number. This fucking game should be replayed from that point on. There is precedent: a game in the 70’s was replayed after it was found that an official had screwed up enormously.
If this game didn’t have seeding implications, I’d probably just chalk it up.
As far as I’m fucking concerned, we are 12-4.

This is the way Campbell is conditioning this team and it hurts but Dan knows what he is building. This is strategic development of a consistent contender not a one and done. Great job Dan. Hats off to our coach and players for representing our city, fans, team, ownership and setting an example of what real integrity and character looks like to a league that has shown its true colors on prime time.
