Emilio!!! I was a PA on SOA back in the day. You were always so nice to me. And we jumped out of a plane together! That whole time was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thanks for being a part of it. Congratulations on such a fantastic career, keep going! ✌️❤️
This is the quietest I've ever seen Joey in an interview lol! Wow. Andy and Matt was having all the dialogue today! No seriously this was amazing, and crazy thing is I just seen er last night, and renegade is just amazing. I loved that as a kid too 🙂
I always listen to this podcast while working, but the faith discussion made me stop and give this my full attention. I love it. God has played such a huge role in my life so I love hearing others' stories about Him.
By far the best guest they've had on the pod. It really just keeps getting better and better. What a fascinating story Emilio has. I loved him on both Sons and Mayans so thoroughly enjoyed this.
What an incredibly insightful and enjoyable episode. I wasn’t familiar with Emilio as a person, and it was a blessing to hear his stories, his heart, and his faith being shared!!! Thanks, fellas…. please keep ‘em coming, and please share more about how God and faith works in your lives!
Love the comments of bringing church into your and others life everyday. We are the body of Christ. And many may never walk into a church. So our lives as the example are the only church they may ever see. Kudos! Represent! 🙏🏽❤️
Emilio Rivera is a remarkable human being. I appreciated any advice given by him in the past through my social media platform. Great interview gentlemen!
This episode was so good, guys. An actor myself, I find yours and Emilio's experiences about being on set and experiencing the "best" and the "worst" completely relatable. There really should be no "heirarchy" on a set. Everyone is there as a collective to produce the best work through teamwork. I'm inspired to dive back into it with both feet. BRAV-O. #ActorsLife
11:20 I remember that ER episode! I had to go back and reawatch it after watching this podcast. Emilio did an amazing job, and yes, I think anger did end up being the right emotion for his character in his grief.
You can tell he is recalling the same difficult time during their childhood, when their parent were having issues/splitting up. You can see the love they have for each other and their whole family. ❤ really sweet
The conversation about how dogs teach you to love reminds me of a documentary I saw about prisoners who earned the chance to have dogs in prison. They said it was the first time they felt real love and also had to think about someone other than themselves. It was life changing for the inmates 🐶 💕
Loved your character in Mayans Emilio! It was such a good show. I got so in to the characters that I truly cried when it ended. Just finished watching the pod and honestly this was one of your best shows! I didn't want it to end. I love to hear people's stories. ❤ I'm now even more of a fan Emilio.😄
Love this podcast. My ultimate dream would be for them to have Johnny Depp as a guest. I would completely just díe! To see Andy and Johnny have a conversation together and talk about how people compare them on social media would just be amazing.
This was such a great episode! And Emiliooo 🫶🫶🫶 Me encantó!! Definitely a whole vibe all four of you together! Loved it! ✨ You guys & this podcast has become a definite highlight of my Fridays. 💗
Another great episode for the books! Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with Mr. Rivera's work, but boy do I feel I got to know him after this episode! He seems like a kind, solidly good man. I couldn't help but notice the way Andy looked at Mr. Rivera the entire episode-he was so mesmerized! It was sweet! There was something about the way he kept calling Joe, Matt & Andy "brother" or "bro" that really gave off a sense of comradery between them. This is one of the reasons I watch this podcast-the L brothers seem to be able to achieve this with all their guests! Keep up the awesomeness, guys! Thank you!
Brothers til the end. They are so well brought up. I was blessed to be able to have a great upbringing. Of course there was just me and my sister and my parents. It was great to have a relationship with my family because you don't see that much of it today.❤
I love this interview...I love hearing about the life lessons and the strong belief in God. There's so many people who can relate to this. See you guys next week. Happy Holidays!!!
Oommmgg looove this. Love how excited everyone is. I feel like Andy is the most excited!! Lol I still have to finish watching this, but do far I loove it and im actually learning how to be a better person. The conversations about treating people the same no matter the rank was great.
@@IBAmyB That’s too funny! It was also my birthday when I went. Joey is super nice. I am about the same age as him so I grew up watching all of his shows. I felt like I was a teenager and could barely speak. Have a great time!!!!
It’s like the best of my both worlds merged bc I’m a chicana.. with very deep roots in my culture.. born & raised in east LA.. but also had my Dad’s side of the family (the more white-washed side) from Pasadena.. so this literally felt like my childhood meshed in the best way possible & it’s wholesome to my heart. 🙏🏼❤️ Also been a dedicated viewer of the pod since u guys first started. Keep up all the great content. Love u boys!
I love when I find a new Podcast that gets and keeps my attention! I just subscribed and I'll be a loyal 😂watcher! Great job ya'll Sarah from Texas xox
You guys are awesome! I look forward to Fridays to watch the show. You make it interesting and seem super humble. Loved Joeys feedback on church, totally agree!!! Great show this week!!
I had my first dog at age 28 and he was 4 years old. He was my best friend. I had never been a dog person before but he completely changed my entire outlook. I related heavy when he said he would’ve been a nicer person if he had a dog younger. Someone hit and run my dog-Sunny, on Super Bowl about 3 weeks ago or whenever it was and he died. I struggle every day without him.
I’m “like #499”!! Love watching this channel grow. You guys deserve the best :) My favourite parts of the whole episode when Emilio says “ya dig?” 😂😂 💕💕
Such a fun episode!!! I feel like he has more stories to tell!! I remember asking my brother on set of Frankie Meets Jack if there was a protocol 🤣that was my first time on a set so I tended to stay by the truck with my yarn. Totally agree about how things are on the road, it’s insane, saw so many bad accidents while I was running loads all over the country. My dad got hit when he used to ride motorcycles, thankfully he didn’t lose his leg, but the kid who hit him was distracted. Also great advice to think before you say or do anything, emotions can make us do things that we regret later.

Wow that’s cool 😮
Such a precious story! Thanks for sharing!
This is your best interview to date. Andy is awesome. he is all business. Matt's memories of his parent's divorce and Joey being a great father.
How loving is our Heavenly Father, that we can truly come to him angry & He hears us & wraps his arms around us. This made me so emotional.
Amen!
Is he Christian?
I so appreciated y’all’s conversation about God. People are looking for something real, and you guys kept it so real. Great episode as always!
Yes! I was also thinking the same thing.
Couldn’t have said it better!
I love the Mexican representation! Thank you for having him on the show!

Joey seemed off. Like was he not feeling well? His energy was low IMO from the starting gate.
Yes, Joey noticeably uncomfortable
Guys... Maybe he was just being respectful. Ever think of that?
Emilio is such a great, enthusiastic storyteller. I could listen to him all day.
Yes!! Love the depth of this episode. The conversation about faith and relationship with the Lord. Glory to God!
RIP JOHN CANDY! Emilio is great and what a sweet guy ❤

The Lawrence bros are bringing the fire 🔥 with these interviews! It Started for me watching Joey in the early 80s... Summer Rental.

Great Collab Gents.👍💯
This podcast is so chill. I used to watch Brotherly Love back in the day and also @Matt I was a Super Human Samurai fan. 💯
Emilio Rivera is a remarkable human being. I appreciated any advice given by him in the past through my social media platform. Great interview gentlemen!
Very true, that hour flew by!! That cigar story... WOW, it really gave me goosebumps!!!
This episode was incredible. Emilio is such a great person and actor 👏 👏

I love that they love each other so much. ❤❤❤

@@Aisha.The.Traveler I agree! To me, it's one of the most beautiful things in the world-that kind of love.
Andy’s & Matt’s faces at 13:48 😂 tbh I had the same face though like excuse me?!
I love all you episodes, but I have to say, this one is my favorite. So good, so interesting. Really great!!
Gotta love the Lawrence brothers!!! 👍👍👍
Joey saying „church walks with me“ the way he said it could be a line in a certain kind of movie

We do the most growing when we’re in uncomfortable situations.
The beginning he had the brothers silent lol Joey is usually over talking or talking over each other lol
I had my first dog at age 28 and he was 4 years old. He was my best friend. I had never been a dog person before but he completely changed my entire outlook.
