The design challenge is that Disneyland is supposed to be a magical kingdom far removed from contemporary reality, so Marvel really does not fit. Imagineering solved the problem relatively well by transporting the audience from Tomorrowland to contemporary Hong Kong in order to help make Iron Man fit better within the timelessness of Disneyland.
Three things that really stood out to me. 1. The Iron Man actors voice sounded similar to RDJ yet uniquely also nailed the Stark persona as well. 2. The ride starts in the park; very believable to the adventure starting where you arrived. 3. A very cool Marvel rendition of a Star Tours type ride with all the same fun and special effects makes this ride work most definitely. Hopefully something similar comes to California Adventure when they start making Marvel progress in the park. Thanks TPR!!

I'm actually glad they made another Atlas Simulator. I love these things. Very Nostalgic to me and actually really fun. I wish Body Wars was still around
I love this, in fact, I just have a ride yesterday. It was amazing as it's featuring some views of HK. The effect was quite real and there were some scenes that actually are quite funny. I love this rideeee I love the last scene that he's going to turn the (idk what's that called) into a coin machine

i dont think anything other than space mountain is safe in Disneylands Tomorrowland, everything is starwars themed which will eventually be taken out of that area of the park.
Disney can't place Marvel in Florida, only California due to rights made in the 90s. Disney can only use Marvel not represented at Universal IOA, hence why Guardians of the Galaxy will be there, but no real mention of "Marvel" though.

The experience in person is way better than it looks on video. I went on the ride several times, usually there are long lines though. One time, I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes to get in. It’s worth it though
I feel like when Star Wars land opens at Disneyland in the US they might close Star Tours and relocate it or replace it and add something similar to this attraction in the Marvel expansion at Disney California Adventure. Great footage!

Looks pretty cool, I wouldn't mind them bringing it to the US, it seems like they'd have to move Star Tours to Star Wars land when it's done. They'll have some extra space in tomorrow land, but if they want California Adventure to have all their Marvel stuff I could see them replacing some of their Pixar stuff with Marvel stuff.
In real life situation, the effects inside are like true your are wearing 3d glasses then some effects are example when the robot hits the ship you will be pushed a little bit.

It's not different, no, but it's most certainly an upgrade. The cabin effects, the seats in the cabin, some of the movements, etc, are much better than the newer version of Star Tours. And remember, Star Tours was given the "random" sequence mostly due to the fact that the ride is 30 years old now and needed to give the attraction more re-rideability, the guests of Hong Kong have never seen an attraction like this since there is nothing like it anywhere around the area. So it will all be "new" to them, even though the ride system is 30 years old.
Actually, no. Hongkongers are pretty familiar with the simulator ride system (many of us have visited Tokyo Disneyland and have been on Star Tours). They don't live in a cave and are very disappointed that a 30 year old ride system was used.
No subtitles, but the script is designed in a way that you only need to understand one of the languages. Like Jarvis would say in Cantonese “Uh oh, the system is running out of power…” then Iron man would say “We’re running out of power?” So you never really miss anything

Nah, right now the ride is open for the test-runs, which have received positive public feedback. The official opening date is still January 11 o3o

Yeah. It looks like a downgrade to me. The CGI doesn't come close to the quality. It's the same ride vehicle. The movements are programmable.
