A day where Deusdaecon uploads is always a good day! Cheers!
Amen to that
Danged skippy! 👍👍
Dragoonistiri fact
I have waited for what feels like an eternity within an eldritch void for this.
Right?!
Your reviews are incredibly rewatchable and interesting!
Totally! I love even just listening to them.
Out of all the people that do movie breakdowns/movie reviews you are my favorite. Even though you take long brakes of time between your videos at times please never truly leave us we need your commentary, it’s the best! Glad to see you’re back doing videos.
Yes indeed I apologise for the long breaks at they’ll be reviews for this whole month, and there’s twitch as well if you need more content
Deusdaecon Reviews I will have to check out twitch for more of your content is always needed. 🤗
Phelous is the best, YMS, IHE plus GBorBB and The Newbee are close seconds. Never heard of this guy before.
This is no excuse for the continuity in the series, but it could be a fun way to watch them:
In the first movie, there is a deleted scene where Dan finds out that Herbert shoots up a bit of his own reagent to get a boost. Kind of like taking adderall when you don't actually need it.
I then saw it as a side effect of taking the reagent while still alive, gave him regenerative abilities. Or at least make him much harder to kill. Which would explain why he's still alive after the first two movies.
They seemed to have kept that effect for when the druggie prisoner shoots it up. That's also why Herbert tells him to stop. He knows the limits of it, but is then equally curious as to the result of taking too much. The overdose.
Of course, none of this is cannon because the scene was deleted in the first film, but I still like to have it in my mind as I watch them. (Though I still don't care for the 3rd one)
Canon
@@Kyusoath wermp. Thanks for pointing out the thumb slip. New phone and the keyboard isn't as wide as my old phone. Still trying to adjust
3rd one definitely is weaker than the other two but overall I love this franchise . As over the top and morbid humor is just enjoyable overall
Overall I find the first fantastic and amazing and the third has some form of entertainment even as its so lacking in well good writing and minus Jeffery Combs, lack of amazing actors
Oh man, Hes back, Ive been anticipating this.
Damn near wet meself when I saw this in my subscription feed.
Im looking forward to him talking about a modernized Cthulhu in the deep, and really looking forward to Color out of Space
RIP Stuart Gordon. You made some truly remarkable films during your time and excelled at adapting Lovecraft's work.
Side note: Have you ever considered reviewing the Terminator films? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the series as a whole.
Ahhh, nothing quite like H.P. Lovecraft Month! I wonder if Deus will ever review the anthology film "Necronomicon"; it doesn't just have Jeffrey Coombs, it's got Coombs *playing* H.P. Lovecraft!
Another thing I'd be interested in seeing is Deus sharing his thoughts on other Clive Barker films; he's done the Hellrasier series, but I'm curious what is his take on Night Breed and Lord of Illusions.
Night breed could have been so good
Guess who’s back! I’m a big fan of the channel, keep up the work bro!
He’s back and bearder than ever!
lol
I am so stoked that you're back, and for an H.P. month, such a great gift for us all
That "no" line kind of looked like he was suppressing a burp but really didn't want to have to redo the line.
The Great Pumpkin has blessed us! H.P. Lovecraft Month is here!
First of all nice beard.
Second of All, it's always a good day when you post a review, I can wait a long time for you too post videos.
Ah, October. Lovecraft Month. Something I honestly find myself looking forward to the past couple of years.
Though for me, it's also Junji Ito month, as I read his stuff almost every night in October.
Lovecraft month again? Oh boy, my yearly dose of madness, cant wait. It really opens the pores y'know.
So happy you're back and in time for lovecraft month.
I thought I was watching Deusdaecon not 8 out of ten cats but here is Joe Wilkinson. Great review glad to see you back with another Lovecraft month. Thankyou.
I'm a patron, but I waited until today to watch this video because I wanted it to be part of my October celebrations for my first day off in my favorite month. Stumbling upon your first HP Lovecraft month is what got me to your channel to begin with and I have been looking forward to this for a while.
The mcdougall experiments would be something West would reference and despise. The experiments themselves would be something West would look into as a means to find or refine the reanimation process. The reason why would be where West would have problems, because mcdougall was using science to prove religion or at least an aspect of religion was right. West is a true atheist, will disembowel the religious reasons and focus on the science. And in the universe where not only the gods are real and at generous indifferent. Speaks for itself.
Premier Reminder On! I’ve been aching for your review on this film!
I do enjoy this movie, but I admit it's pretty flawed. Honestly, I watch these movies mainly for Jeffrey Combs.
As for his ability to fight his creations now, I do think there's an explanation: dude's been in prison for 13 years. And being who he is, and acting as he does, he'd have to get tougher to survive. We saw only a little slice of his time, and he had someone ready to shank him.
No way a guy like him makes it in lockup without getting tougher.
Also, yeah, it was Dan who turned evidence against him. We see him loaded into a cop car, and likely after the horror show of the last movie, Dan had enough and wanted to make sure West got locked up for good.
Very happy to see your reviews again, especially happy for Lovecraft month returning!
HE'S BACK!!!
Glad you made an appearance for the best month of the year. Digging the beard. Miss the old intro. Hope you're doing well my friend
Welcome back. I have missed you.
Great review. As always.
I missed you! I love your videos and I’m so excited for the rest of this month :)
Deusdaecon posted a video. Life is good today.
Woohoo! My favorite spooky movie reviewer! Love your content, D! Keep up the good work.
After all these year we finished "Reanimator" movie franchise

♪If you're feelin' dead, I'll be your Re-Animator, I got a way to bring you to life...♪
I remember Reanimator being the cause of the song Move your Dead Bones. A song that is always stuck in my long term memory. It was awesome learning about the series. Here's to the next video and have a great day man :)
Die Monster Die with Karloff and Nick Adams is good too. I have had several stories published in Lovecraftiana and Lovecraft themes can be carried out to extreme lengths. Great review by the way on an excellent series available at a reasonable price in a three disc set with tons of extras!
What happens when you’re a bad ass...you become Deusdeacon and do an awesome review
Fantastic new review. It's great to see you again and you're totally rocking that beard. I look forward to your new reviews and hope that you're coping well during all the current madness.
Dude! The beard is epic!
It's spooktober, Deusdaucon uploads and I'm eating briskets...what more can I ask for.
Been a while man, good to see you're doing well and love the beard brother
Welcome back, great review as always. We must keep the Goth content of October high ;-)
"Who knew a rat would lead to such chaos?" -Thanos
I sensed a disturbance in the algorithm... The sound of 15000 viewers cheering to the sound of an intro I never thought I'd see again... Welcome back Daecon, can't tell you how refreshing it is to see more new HP Lovecraft reviews.
Ive only discovered your channel about half year ago but i managed to watch almost all your reviews, some of them twice, love your presentation, calm and not obnoxious way of speaking and your great, in depth, detailed review style. Keep it up, i think you have got a great core of loyal watchers who will stick with you and your content even if you take your time between uploads! I'm one of them! Thanks for the quality entertainment!
I’m glad you enjoy the videos so much theres a small break until January but ive got two practically ready to go in the New Year
@@deusdeaconReviews Awesome, looking forward to it, in the meantime I'll revisit your older reviews, have a lovely festive period and stay safe!
I've missed your reviews. So happy to see you.
Oh man a premier that's awesome! I wish you would upload more tho! Youd been gone awhile and I got worried
well im uploading for the next four weeks so thats something, Also im live on twitch 5 days a week if you need more reassurence www.twitch.tv/deusdaecon
@@deusdeaconReviews are you on twitch all the time? Is there where I could have found you these past 5 monthz??
its 5 days a week 9 pm gmt snd yeah i started about janurary
Like, I get it. Twitch is any easier platform that RUclips. You just play and get donations (with commentary obviously). But I'm just not a Twitch guy. Doesn't mean I don't love your work, just prefer your videos. Even if we just got 1 video a month, then I'd be happy. But obviously I don't know the time it takes for make a fantastic quality video. Only you do. I'm not going anywhere, but more Tube and less Twitch would TECHNICALLY BE better :).
So happy to see you're back!
23:05 You just summed up why I never bothered to watch Game of Thrones, past the first 4 or 5 episodes - Thank you! :D
Oh man i love your reviews, your voice and interpretations makes your videos very re-watchable.
22:29 - 22:57 I get the reference, @Deusdaecon. I freaking love Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds! Favorite song, Thunderchild! Which was yours?
Eeeee, more content on this channel! I've missed ya, friendo!
ohh shiit!! love seeing you again! bro after your lovecraft reviews i cant get enough of him, basicly everynight i put on audio readins of lovecraft stories and others like him, thanks for exposeing me to such a great author i even bought the collection of his stories.
Given how often these films reference the Rats in the Walls, I'm surprised there's never been an adaptation of it. Given what I know of the story, It seems like you could have a really interesting horror film that no one's tried to produce.
i started watching you earlier this year so this is the first Lovecraft month I've been here for super stoked to see what else comes out
What is the music in the beginning?
Also, glad you're back. Can't wait for what's coming next
its called kyrie from the soundtrack for the game amnesia a machine for pigs
@@deusdeaconReviews Thank you very much, I appreciate the response
I’m glad to see the new content :)
I’ve missed your videos. Glad to have you back
Yess just in time to add to my lawn work playlist for the next hour or two
Aaayyyeee!! Love your reviews man! I watch them all multiple times
that was great. I never liked the first film but I sure remember when it came out. I really enjoy your reviews and will look for you on twitch.
The prisoner biting the nurse's breast scene seems almost like a homage to Burial Grounds where a zombie child bites his mother's breast.
My favorite reviewer! Keep them coming!
Yay, Daecon is back! I didn't realize how much I enjoyed your reviews, and essays, until you were gone away having to deal with life.
The Lovecraft Month intro is back! I missed you and your videos so much, can’t wait for more content this month!
Glad to have you back after a much too long absence.
Welcome back bro, and thank you for the best month of the year!!!!
You finally back dude? Been missing your reviews.
So glad to see you're back and well! Love your Lovecraft Month videos.
Deus glad to see you back again love your reviews always!
I always get hyped when you upload a new video!
Your videos are very well done, and I truly love your explanation of the story and critique. Thank you so much.
Great to have you back. Looking forward to having uploads from you for the rest of the month.
Have honestly missed the new reviews on this channel! Can’t wait for the rest of this month ☺️
Long have we waited. Good to see you back.
My dude is back, good to see you! Loved the vid!
nice! keeping the old style, but improving. It's subtle, but your presentation really has improved (lighting, pauses, audio) compared to the old stuff. awesome job!
Been way too long!! Looking forward to it!!!
I love this channel so much that I watch reviews for movies I haven’t watch nor care for.
Keep it up!
Ive been waiting for some Halloween Deusdaecon. WOo!
HOORAY!!! Welcome back!!!
More Herbert West, always a plus
Ahhhhhh H.P. Lovecraft Month, The best way to start off October.
So satisfying to see clips from Color Out of Space in the new H.P. Lovecraft month intro. That movie was a great adaptation of my absolute favorite Lovecraft story!
Finally! Lol been waiting for a new youtube video for, feels like forever. Your the best man!
Missed your reviews man! Still best channel on RUclips! Another great review dude! :)
We’ve missed you man, glad to see you’re still doing good with everything going on this year
Rejoice! For we have missed you, and you have returned!
welcome back! I will say that, having read Lovecraft and some of the homage authors (Brian Lumley comes to mind) when I was in my teens, the self-referential nature that you point out in the critique is something that was done by the authors of the books as well...so I don't have a problem with it per se...
I’m not sure why my critique doesnt extend to authors as well, why are book exempt from the same trappings as the films ?
@@deusdeaconReviews It is funny, now again, I read them (well powered thru them in a very bored summer; after awhile, I started to feel like it was a possible reality...the star stones for example. I do love the movies for all the schlocky stupidity...sometimes a 'bad' good horror movie is just full on fun! I do like Coombs and feel bad that he really hasn't been able to get more mainstream roles. Have a great day!
so good to see another video!
Jeffrey Combes is such an underrated actor.
This month just got a whole lot better. You're the best! 🎉🎊
Good to see you back dude...I hope you've been well. This review was dope as per usual.
Glad I got to watch this early by being a patron to the channel! Glad I got to watch it again on it's official release lol
Great to have you back mate! Love your videos.. please don’t leave it so long again ✊✊✊
Glad to see you posting! Always quality content.
Its so satisfying to hav u back n see u safe
I’m trying to figure when and if RUclips sent out my videos to people, are you aware this video came out in October ? were only told about it now or is it just a choice to watch now ? honestly wouldn’t be surprise if you had no idea and RUclips didn’t tell you.
Good to have you back, mate! Great review, as always!
I kinda don't mind invincible West. It feels like a beloved pro wrestler coming out of retirement to "play the old hits". Like he's a zombie bull fighter or something.
Nice to see you're still alive and kicking, Deus! Also, loving the beard!
Love your reviews! Do more often!!
just stopping by to say this channel still rocks
So happy to see you reviewing again. Your beard looks badass
Thank you for these videos
it's good to see you again man.
Welcome back! I missed your reviews.
