Edit: There are two template files in that link. Both of the templates are the same general shape of the arm, but the new version should be better to print if you had issues with white borders showing up. The new version also has some detail lines that I added if you want to use them! The detail lines are not perfect, but it should give you a decent starting point if you need it!

I'm just having a little problem, if you can help me ... it turns out that I'm horrible at drawing, and I'm wanting to make the arm, but I can't make the relief marks, can you find a way to post another pattern with the prints ?? thank you very much, even if it is not possible, I loved it !!
@@brucewayne7345 Thank you! I was actually thinking about drawing in those detailed lines on the pattern, because I figured it might be difficult for some. I will see what I can do about adding those. It will probably be a couple days before I can get to it.

Hi! What a great video, this is something I defenitly wanna try out. I just have a little question. This is my first time doing something like this (crafting with foam) and I have some trouble with knowing the measures for the arm/your templates. I don't know how I have to print them to make sure they are the right size. Could you maybe help me out? :)

On a side note: Is it a one size fits all? I am 6ft4 and would imagine this might run a little too short for me and might possibly be too tight too. :S
Also a tip! You could use a gold acrylic paint pen or paint and small brush, and just seal it all when finished (:

You could use this template and pattern but then give is the winter soldier design when you paint and sharpie

Awesome job! I can only find 2mm and 6mm thick foam at local stores, are either of those good alternatives for the 4mm thick?
Thanks! 4mm is really the sweet spot for this. Although 6mm would be pretty thick, it would still hold it's shape nicely, whereas the 2mm would be too thin and flimsy.
Awesome built man. It looks so comfortable and easy to build. Can i use cardboard instead of eva foam?
Some people have made it with cardboard! It definitely is easier and I think looks better with foam, but if you have experience with cardboard, it can still turn out okay.

I think your template is awesome! I'd recommend upping your paint game to compliment it even more! Adding a sealing step (Plastidip, flexbond, mod podge, etc) before you paint will help make it even more metallic and more durable. Love the arm!
Thanks for the tips! I've used mod podge in other projects, but it gets streaky sometimes, so I don't always use it. I've never had a chance to use plastidip or flexbond but I guess now is the time!

I see you've made a new template! It looks really good! Which one should I use, the original or the new one?
So both templates have the same overall shape, but the new one I posted should be easier to print (don't have to worry about the white borders) and I drew on some of the detail lines. It's up to you which one you want to use!

you can use this template also! You will have to draw in your own detail lines since the silver arm and black arm have different details, but the overall shape is the same.
Can you do one on Bucky’s mask from Civil War, if you can ofc:) I wanna dress up as Bucky for Halloween but I can’t find any good masks😭

Its great you can just do a freehand pattern mine are always too small or too big.
Takes practice! And I tend to make things big or small also. Just have to adjust as you're going
Man your contact cement is so much better than mine
What kind do you have? I would think they are all similar. The key is to not stick the pieces together when the cement is still wet. You need to wait a few minutes before sticking together
