- At Cape Fear MX track with my 19 KX450 trying out the new remapping of my ECU by Tokyo Mods. So here it is: TM (on GREEN coupler) smoothened the power delivery yet added more power in all the right places compared to the OEM mapping (softened the bottom and it transitions smoothly to mid and top yet it has a pretty good range on high RPM though not as much as the BLACK coupler). BLACK coupler also makes less engine brake.
The GREEN and WHITE (only used it twice but hated it due to the excessive engine brake) couplers are still more powerful than the BLACK especially if you get the ECU remapped, which mods the GREEN circuit in the ECU.
So which one do "I" prefer? MX/SX tracks and woods? SX track= GREEN, Sand track= GREEN/WHITE, muddy/slick= BLACK, mixed terrain= BLACK, slick woods= BLACK; dry woods= GREEN, single track= BLACK, Hills= GREEN, overall= BLACK. Why? 'cause I prefer a tamed down KX450 that revs higher and doesn't have as much engine brake!
Just got the same thing done to my 2016 kx450 ecu...big difference from stock. They actually make you a custom tune. You tell them where u want the power, the aftermarket upgrades you've done to your engine, the type of gas you use, and they'll make u a custom tune in 1 day. Cost $225.
First one you used is good for chiller riding and lugging. That last one is your longer moto track map. Let it eat
Cape Fear ATV park. Elizabethtown, NC. Such an easy track!
That's what I need easy..lol
@@unclegiggler307 it’s easy and plenty fun! Lots of trails by it too.
@@risingeagle915 might be far from me I'm in stokesdale nc
@@unclegiggler307 about 2.5 hours.
That first map you ran had better traction and usable low end. it wasn't over revving like the final one you ran. Is that a vortex 10. I have one on a 22 crf250r.
It’s a stock ECU. Tuners are able to remap the green circuit in the ECU but it’s about $100 each time.
Exactly. I prefer the black coupler (last one) for longer tracks and the green coupler (first) for short tracks / SX.
@@risingeagle915 wow ok!
We're is this track at?
