If the nozzle faces are heavily pitted and the back caps aren't in much better condition on the gasket groove, is it recommended to replace the chamber? If so, are they still available? I can make them bark off with a blow gun but are very sensitive to back cap torque.
Depending on the extent of the pitting they can be remachined. The back cap if its realy bad replace. As for the back cap torque are the bolts stripping out? Send some picts to cawalshx2@hotmail.com I get ya goin on the right track.
PB BLASTER works wonders on disimilar metals. If aluminum is bolted to cast iron, a weeks worth of spraying once got me finger loose bolts. Try it!
Im fond of Deep Creep. Had better luck with it than anythin else. And yes Aluiminium into cast iron is the worst to get apart for shore
