If I had a nickel for every time a pop artist with last name Williams released an unconventional biopic in 2024, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
In the US, Robbie is incredibly underappreciated. He is a really multifaceted, quirky, imaginative, and sincere artist. I'm excited to see this because I really like his Netflix documentary.
@@Brian-qn7fnmy favorite moment in the Robbie Williams clown sho-I mean career was when the guys from Oasis bullied him for years in the early 00s, to the point where he tried to be their mate and they just continued bullying him 😂 if they showed that in the movie Id watch it just for a laugh at Robbie’s expense.
When I first got to know Robbie waaaay back as a teenager, watching him in interviews or reading articles where he spoke his mind to a journalist, I was always super impressed with how brutally honest he was. It’s like he has this love/hate relationship with himself. Very complex human being, but he also has his heart in the right place for sure. I would also recommend anyone the documentary ‘Nobody Someday’ from 2001/2002. A film that follows him on tour with his highs and lows. He’s not afraid to be human.
Rob's voice in the narration sounds strange... unlike the Preview Trailer. Very much looking forward to seeing this. As a long time TT and Rob fan, I'd have to say it seems like we're getting to see a part of his story we normally aren't exposed to. Normally documentaries and interviews on Rob's story cover the Take That stardom, alcoholism and jealousy that led to a break from the group, fall from grace, solo superstardom and second fall from grace. This one seems to give more of an introspective of a childhood dream that motivated him to eventually achieve solo superstardom, and a deep relationship with his Nan that was a big part of that. Very interesting. Though I'm wondering how the other 'boys' are feeling about this film and if this is the reason their relationship seems distant again.
Wow a biopic about a musician most Americans have never even heard of already has better marketing than Transformers one did does paramount just hate money?
This feels like what Western movie writing does if it took its interpretation from anime and understood that if your going to tell a normal human story to make it more interesting to watch.
I didn’t see the teaser trailer but I just realized…that dropped in October and the movie drops in January. And if you know anything about film marketing post-COVID, then you know that this movie, in all likelihood, is *not* going to do well given that kind of poor marketing. Well, except for maybe in Europe, but Robbie was/is infinitely more successful there than in North America so that wouldn’t help either. Regardless, never start marketing a movie with 3 months to go. It has a very low chance of working
It’s a really beautiful idea and I can kinda guess why he chose an ape. I think he chose it because he is different which is what we all are different from each other.
@@mattlow51 That's the joke because that was his breakout boyband, again known everywhere but the US. Not knowing somthing is ok, you get to know and learn things you don't know yet, there is a huge world, like the rest of the world. Ignorance is not a badge.
First, Pharrell Williams tells his story in LEGO? Now, Robbie Williams tells his story where he's a monkey? Who's next to tell a biography in animation or something else?
This movie is a pretty transparent attempt to make an uninteresting persons story seem interesting.. He was in a typical manufactured boy band and then struck out on a solo career like many before him.. Hes popular in Britain but never made it in the states and is virtually unknown by the yanks.
😂 yeah an uninteresting person who’s had 12 albums, 10 compilation albums, done music on movie soundtracks, appeared in films, won more Brit awards than any other person in history, more Echo music prize awards than anybody in history and is worth over £222m. I think we know who the uninteresting one is Mike 😂
Try Google, he’s worth over £222m, been in the music industry for over 30 years, had famous girlfriends like Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman, done movie soundtracks, holds records for the amount of awards he’s won and now has a film about him.
Arriving in movie theaters globally beginning December 2024

I'll be honest, I haven't heard many Robbie Williams or Take That songs, but I'm really excited to learn about him
