Every time I watch your videos I have to talk myself out of getting a dog. Keep em coming!
go for it, you won't regret it,
@@gallopingg1 yyyyeaaa I wont...but I have a hard time buying groceries for myself for now. Thank you for the encouragement though!
My favorite channel now that I have my own dog for the first time in 40 years. Brilliant
Thank you! And congratulations
Thank you again for a great session very well explained! I’m soaking it up with young Angus! Separate lessons makes good sense - and a good warning that what I let him do now - he will learn is ok when it’s not in future.
Thanks Charlie! 😅
Thanks so much for the video. It will be so helpful for when I get my Labrador.
Great video, really helpful - I love the short, concise, honest format. Spoon ❤ what a great name, she is absolutely gorgeous, I hope we can see a bit more of her in the future as well as Rum
great comformation, stunning looking dog,
Thank you again for the lesson.
Beautiful looking dogs.
Excellent video as per usual, also the knack of knowing when YOU the handler are causing a certain unacceptable action. I remember I made the mistake initially of being too keen to take the ball/dummy off the dog, this proved to develop poor presentation or even gripping. I learnt this with Falcon, Charlie will remember him, my tendency to rush the presentation, he developed a gripping action, put out of 2 trials due to this. I realised my error and we went back to the beginning, ensured presentation slow and relaxed, thankfully a bad action by me, was rectified!
Rhum a natural, a shame if he's not going to a working home
I've got a labrador puppy, hes 15 weeks on Saturday, he's great at most things, retrieving, I can get him to wait to retrieve now, hell wait to eat until I give him the command, he'll sit when I say but I just cant get him to walk to heel. I watched your video on it but just cant get him to walk to heel. Maybe I am doing to much with him, I know he is doing exceptionally well for his age. I think because he took to everything else so quickly. With training I do 3 x15 minutes a session a day, sometimes more
Really enjoying the videos and now labrador content. We've got a 5 month old and just started puppy classes with a gun dog trainer. He was only saying you cannot rush the basics yesterday, which you have echoed too. Interested to follow the journey of your pups and try element's you are describing with my dog. Thanks.
Great video, thank you. My 11 month old lab, Millie, is very enthusiastic with the retrieve but stops short and won’t give the ball back. If I try to encourage her in or try to cuddle her like you do she backs away and plays with the ball. Any tips?
Great info as ever
10:05 I think you kind of gave him the same hand motion that you do when you release him. Little fella was trying to be good and got a little confused! Some really great progress even in such a short video. Beautiful pup, I always enjoy your content.
I just can't get over how gorgeous those fox red labradors are. I adore all Labradors but I think that black labradors are the most handsome but the fox reds are the prettiest!
Love the Videos Charlie! I wonder If you could go more deeply in when to teach what and in what order. I know most new puppy owners have to start with a leash right away to get the dog outside to go potty but with waffle and the other Labrador you started later on with the leash work.
Could you do a video on sitting for extended time please?
Loving the labrador series. I have a 5 month old fox red boy, the videos are really helpful! Just some advice on diet would be appreciated he's currently on the skinners field and trail puppy food. I've read a lot of mixed reviews on Kibble just curious what you feed your dogs thanks 👍
Another great video. If you use a ball or a canvas dummy for retrieve training, does it mean you don’t give the dog balls or canvas dummies as play things?
Wise words! Clarence now 7 months. Yes I can get her to sit mid run .. But walking to heel first thing … miserable/choke/ enthusiast battle. Sd I wear her out first?
How old is Spoon there ?
Could you perform a smoke test.
Great video again Charlie are those techniques the same for a Cocker Spaniel
