My goodness, I just saw another of your videos and didn't realize that you'd gone shorter! It really makes me feel better because I've been struggling to style a pixie cut about this length and shape. Unfortunately on ME it makes my thick, coarse hair look like Sophia from the Golden Girls. I finally realized it settles down when very, very moisturized and preferably a bit dirty. Lesson learnt: my hair needs the length to weigh it down and create a wave/curl.
I love this cut. I chopped my grown out sh'bob in January. I am used to a pixie since that is how my hair has been for the better part of two decades, but I actually miss my wavy longer hair. Trying to grow it back now.
I always love your videos! I have 3c curls & I've been growing out a buzzcut since last April & I feel your pain. Growing out the hair above my ears especially when u have tight curls has been exhausting & frustrating but I will be so thankful for when it reaches my chin when styled
I would trade you hair. I'm cutting the length of my hair into more of a Meg style soon, I hate wearing a ponytail and do often because I don't like messing with my long hair!
Thanks for another useful and fun video, Alyson. Might you have some fragrance free products to recommend? I can’t use any with fragrance now (or an assortment of botanicals to provide fragrance). 😢 Suggestions please 🙏🏻
Donna, that makes me so sad for you! Is it synthetic fragrance that's bothering you, or all fragrance? Jessicurl makes a fragrance free version of everything in their line, so that might be an option. There's a brand called No Nothing that I believe is all fragrance free (but not all silicone free - I haven't used them, so not 100% sure). Innersense and Cult+King both leverage plants for their fragrances, so there's nothing synthetic there, if that's an option for you. Hope that helps you!
@@alysonlupo Synthetic fragrances can trigger migraine and essential oils and some extracts aren’t simpatico with my sensitive skin, but I do enjoy fragrance otherwise. I appreciate your suggestions! I have hair very similar to yours, so I’m hopeful. Thank you for taking the time to reply! 😊
I'm a Hair Story shampoo devotee, but lately I'm styling with Curlsmith Fragrance Free Shine products and love it for my 2A/B hair. I get less "fluffiness" and more soft definition and hold with healthy shine with Curlsmith over Hair Story Balm.
I love them, Marc, but if I recall, you're a gel user. Spiralicious? Hairstory products are very different from Jessicurl, and offer less hold. But they *are* coming out with a gel (shhhhh), so stay tuned for that...

I can hardly wait for Low Density Love!!
I'm so excited you're as excited as I am! It's coming!!
Love this cut. I’m growing out my hair and it is such a a a s-l-o-w process.
Took me forever, too! Hang in there!!!

Have fun on your journey! It can really be fun at all lengths. Excited for you!
I think this cut suits you SOOO well!
You look beautiful. Your enthusiasm is contagious! I always look forward to your videos.
Thank you, friend! That means so much to me.
This looks fantastic! Not at all like a grow-out stopgap, but like a full on intentional cut. Very impressive!
❤ love the hair, I have long hair but it's starting to be difficult to manage so I looking to get this haircut hope I'm not regret

Your hair is adorable! ❤️’The Meg’ has always been a favorite of mine.
Thank you! It's a surprisingly good point to pause in the length journey!
I *looove* it! 👏🏻 Thanks for all the tips/tricks, too! ❤️
Love you on RUclips!!
Thanks, friend! I've missed being here. :)
I think the prevalence of wolf cuts also makes this phase kind of hip right now.
Totally see that! Rewind the tape back to the 1950s and 'the meg' would have been super inappropriate, LOL
Very cute!
Thank you, Maureen!
I love the Meg look on you.
Love this!

@@gigig7713 Thank you for the tip, Gigi!
Adorable!
so cute
My left hand is also virtually useless. CRAZY right handed too!
Hi Alyson are Hair Story products any good? I’m a Jessicurl user.

@@alysonlupo I don’t like gel and I don’t use Spiralicous. My hair is usually nice and hydrated on wash day and don’t need any gel.
The Meg looks cute on you.
Thank you friend!
I recently went for 'The Meg' in order to ditch the 'Lord Farquaard' after a micro fringe garcon bob.
❤️🙌🏻
