Thank you for making these videos. I fished tournaments for almost 20 years. Three years ago this coming July 14 I had a stroke and had to give up the fishing. It has been one of the hardest this a have ever done. The stroke affected my memory part of my brain. Good luck the coming season my wife and I will be rooting for you.

When I was 5 I got a hook lodged in my temple when another kid cast back behind him where I was standing. Thankfully, I don’t remember the pain, just the trip to the rural doctor’s office (he could only remove the bait and sedate me😅) and then to a hospital in the city!

You were fishing on my favorite little lake in this video. It's known for numbers of catches but the big ones aren't as plenty. All in all I enjoyed the video.

Use a net or fish grips when dealing with treble hooks.. Much safer and less likely to hook yourself

Jerkbaits are the one bait i still have to get dialed in, never had much confidence in them and not much prqctice and experience getting the twitch cadence down so it is effective. That is my goal this spring to get it figured out
Crazy how competitive kayak tournaments have gotten, people like you and me have such strong fishing instinct of high percentage areas and what not but that isn’t enough to run with the big dogs anymore electronics are now giving the edge lol I’ll stick to reading bank lines and someone old electronics lol one man trash is another man’s fish catching tool 😂

I got hooked in my right thumb. I’m right handed so that made it worst. Sadly the hook hit dead center of the nail and sunk in about 1/2 inch. I had to go to the ER to get it. A year later my nail looks almost whole again. That was the most painful hook I’ve had, believe me I’ve been hooked many times but that one set records.

I know how hard it is to fish a lure you dont have experience or confidence in. I think qe all go through that at some point. I had to go out with only jigs to make myself have to use them. Same as with the jerk bait. One day just fishing and learning with one style of lure. It helps.

Hi, I am a beginner kayak fisher using a sit inside. I usually only fish shallow water. Do you have any tips for fishing deep water our just kayak fishing in general
With a sit inside you have to be careful fishing choppy water, as to not take water in the hull. But, pick a day with good weather and venture out’! If you don’t use electronics, you can get the free navioncis app on your phone and see the contours and underwater points etc of where you’re fishing !

You get your kayak all decked out with gear that makes you not even have to paddle the thing, then used your FFS so you don't have to learn how to actually fish (all complete with a cell call in the middle of it)? It reminds me of the day I had at the bowling alley last Saturday when I threw a 300 during their bumper-bowling session. JFC...this video is a text-book definition of how irreversibly f**ked society is today. There's more respect in taking that hook out of your thumb, than whatever "skills" you're trying to show the world, with this this pathetic display of co-dependence.
