From ashes to empires. Your journey will shape the face of Verra.
Experience an MMORPG where everything is permanently impacted by your actions - explore, trade, build, and let the world take form. From your imagination through your will and into everyone's reality, what you create will be the cornerstone of the next explorer’s ambition.
Risk Vs Reward
All across Verra, you have the opportunity to experience massive warfare, participate in epic trade caravans, and gather valuable components to craft exquisite items. Not only will your fellow players be your adversaries; the creatures of the land and the very environment itself will pose a constant and fresh challenge. Will you siege castles to become royalty, defeat other guilds to showcase your prowess, shape the marketplace by being a successful trader, or earn renown by developing your artisan crafting skills? This is your story, you tell us!
An Open World
Ashes of Creation is a unique take on the MMORPG experience. Our world structure is dynamic, and built to react to your actions. Cities will rise and fall as you shape the world of Verra. Quests and secrets will unlock as populations gather and their needs grow. As the world’s NPC structure is established in real-time, you will have the ability to destroy what’s been created, paving the way for new developments, populations, and change. Political strife and intrigue will play a very real role in the structure of your experience. Gone are the days of static worlds; change is here to stay!
In Verra's land, where heroes stand, Roar's 'stache leads the fearless band. A tank of might, he holds the line, With whiskers bold, so divine. Oh, Roar, with 'stache so grand and true, Our savior's 'stache, we toast to you!
This was perfect 🤣❤
Dude... I just started playing this and I'm like a level 8 mage and had no idea about 95% of this stuff... Thank you for making this video!
Glad to be of service!
Legit, keep up the good work and you will find great success. I have watched thousands of hours of RUclips... You are in that S-tier... Only thing that can make you "fail" is burnout. Be good to yourself. AoC needs good content creators like yourself. Thank you for your service.
@@sherpagoolsbee8390 this is a hell of a compliment! Thanks you ❤️
Roar coming through with great content again!
For the new gamers!
I found a good early quest to get yesterday. You pick it up at Strider rep. in tent outside of each node. Completing it gives you three uncommon gear pieces. Your choice of light, medium or heavy.
@@grimray6768 yo that's cool!
I’m sorry, I told you wrong Roarrier. You pick up quest from Darlata Fetherstep at north exit of Lionhold.
You turn it in at Striders Vigilant Logisitc Clerk at tent outside of Node town.
You forgot the part where they need to go to the Dynamic Event that spawns every 15 and glitch into the wall for the passive AFK xp farm , other than that great video for new players!
@@cooperbeats-v4o I've been destroying g those guys with goblin shamans for 4 days don't go there 🤣🤣.
thanks for the guide! cant wait to get in the alpha
@@BROSxXxDANIEL you're welcome!
Nice short guide! I would add - take the artisan commissions - they are just a nice extra if you decide to gather something along the way. Especially early the glint/exp is nice.
Great video, a good starter guide was solely needed and this is a great one.
Great video as always. Well articulated and to the point. Great job!
@@lettolulz4299 thank you! I hope someone finds it helpful 😂
Thank you roroarrior, very cool. 👍
Thanks for the guide! Should be a huge help for folks on the 20th!
Thanks for watching! ❤
I just got into the alphas like 2 weekends ago and the 1st thing I did was get a mount then I went to power lvl without even seeing any YT video…..ig ESO is still in my blood lol that’s exactly what I used to do
few corrections/addons:
when you die its not you "may loose some of your glint" . You loose exactly 50% of all your material tab items upon death and 25% of the total (or 50% of the lost upon death) are destroyed, the other 25% are left in the corpse pile that you or someone else can collect. (addition to that if the mats are odd number, the lost items are rounded down - in other words if u have 5 items you'll loose 2 of them and 3 will stay with you , 1 will be broken, 1 will be in the dead pile). Now on this i am not 100% but i believe if the items that are in lost upon death are odd the items in the pile are rounded up (EDIT: it appears when you die multiple times with the same materials they start getting rounded down)
2nd Glint while is being sold to the NPC in the beginning later is more useful to save for caravan trading(which gives significantly more gold), so dont waste all your glint, only what you need to buy stuff, rest keep in your warehouse, and obviously that means never walk around with all of it.
Great video phase 2 is coming 🎉
@@Dragondie13 soon... The grind begins!
Great video. Well done🎉.
Great tutorial!
thanks that will help me
Good Video Roar. I think these types of videos are always needed even at this stage of the game. I have been following AOC (Not politically for god's sake) for years I guess I could say. Watching many videos on this, I found one about Tanking with you Nyce and 2 others. I can't find the video at the moment. You actually have some history in gaming...less than me lol. You seem to really understand what WOW meant to gaming. Also, you played a dominant class as a Tank. In my case, Tank or Healer. I had to take the unconventional and not understood Pally Tank role and was the 2nd main tank on my server and 1 to prove Onyxia could be tanked by a Pally. Ok this is to long already!!! If we could chat for a few on some Team speak or Ventrillo LOL. That would be great and also would like to know if you would invite to group or guild your subscribers.
Thanks man I really appreciate it! I always love to chat about games and mmos. I stream all my gameplay here and on Twitch and we are always chatting it up and having a good time. As far as the guild thing I just joined a new guild so ill need to find out the protocol for posting guild links in the videos and what not. Once its clear ill put it up. But I have been grouping up with chat since the alpha launched, we've been crushing it! We are on the Vyra server.
great beginner guide
Glad you think so!
We gotta make your mic a little more warm and bassy. Are you using OBS? Try adding a filter in your mic capture settings for VST plugin from Marvel GEQ (gotta download) and there's a preset for it
@@Riecheck starting to think it's my voice but I know why you say this. I hear it too. I use the beacn mic with some EQ and also add some in premier in post. I'm about to pick up a shure so I'll dial it in then.
@@Roarrior I don't think it's your voice. It can be a number of things. Your polar pattern for your mic is cardioid so be absolutely sure you're talking into the front of the mic and not the back, sides or top. It seems like your lows are too low and your highs are too high. I mentioned it in the other post and honestly didn't expect you to reply so thanks for that =) but I would check out what a VST plugin is to help with your highs and lows. There's a video that could help, he does go over Compressor, Expander, Limiter but I don't think you need those because you sound like you have all those proper. It's the polar patterns at 4:20 and VST section at 13:10
RUclips automatically kills links in comments due to spammers so I have to cut the youtube part but the important stuff can but copy/pasted for the video. Really hope this helps, you're an amazing content creator!

Good one!
Thanks!
Just got the game, great videos man! Is it true I have to wait until servers are up to download the game?
@@manolistav9045 I don't think so. You can grab the launcher now. It should let you
That’d be kind of sick if the game’s art style was like your thumbnail
Pull up your learning pants and buckle in!
I have spent so much silver buying starter weapons to try them out…. Ugh….
🤙
Great video. So glad i cancelled my gofundme pledge.
@@ItsSafehands you mean Kickstarter?
@Roarrior i do.
Still saying first
At this point if you don't I begin to worry 🤣
Phase 1 sucked , There was so much time wasted. Their team treated these servers as official and wasted a lot of time by wasting the players time. You do the first quest, get your mount then mob grind till cap. For weeks if your the average Joe. Streamers love it , it gives them content to push out.
Increased resource spawns , increased xp multipliers , no rollbacks. Would have allowed the players to reach cap and do something other than kill mobs or afk farm events.
Yeah this was a “stress test” but still.. time costs money .. also treating a server like an official server is fine when the games coming close to launch , but this games years away. I mean hell, the 3 towns are literally just copied and pasted.
The game will be top tier when it’s launched but for anyone that feels like they are missing something .. I promise you you’re not.
Let’s see what P2 has to offer !!
This game is NEVER going to release ... Just like Camelot Unchained.
Just show some gameplay ..people knows that stuffs already and plus there's tutorials also tsk tsk tsk
@@2wo_0h_4our huh?
This a horrible guide. Even if you are a casual player I would suggest looking for a guild I mean you spent the $$$ this is the way you actually IMO have the best experience and bang for your buck so to speak. There are many resources to find one that will fit with the style of play you want to get out of the game(at least to start in current alpha). If the starting area has a big wave of new or new level 1 alts....To start LEAVE LIONHOLD ASAP. You get your gathering tools and horse and another quest...that will give you some green gear(but only shows glint as the reward) and needs you to gather and visit a node and then and then GTF away from Lionhold . If you get away from the heavily populated node the game will run better you won't get killed randomly by mobs popping on you from no where and constant freezes where you can't do anything but the mobs can and you won't have the same competition for everything you are trying to kill like the newbie area always does(Which is all you suggested for starting out). The first goal is leveling to 10 BUT, while you are leveling gather, wood, metal, herbs/plants you'll have to learn the really relevant ones if you want to go more in depth. All leveling spots to start should be away from Lionhold most of the time in current alpha beyond level 2 just kinda getting out.
@@CarsfanaticKala 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What are you going on about? This is a great quick guide to learn a lot about how the early stages of the game works.
@@ArmatisReviews No it's not its a guide on how to get frustrated and not want to play the game because of constant lag DC and artificially gimping yourself by not really learning the game.
@@CarsfanaticKala 🤣😆
It's an alpha. Phase 1 is there for performance and stability as well as testing what systems we have. If you're avoiding giving them this data and trying to min/max the alpha by diving straight into another server worker to start "the grind" and avoid lag then you should check back later when its more of a game and leave the testing and feedback to those they actually want to do it. This guide is clearly not for you.
