      People everywhere are making a problem with the criteria visible. People are very careless in their actions and the dead people show what happens when risks are underestimated.
      People are a victim of negligence and one of interpretation of the situation. The wrong assessment or evaluation is shown by the destruction and the garbage and the dead people. This will continue to have a negative impact and not reacting beforehand will only come back to haunt you.
      This doesn't help anyone if people don't support each other beforehand. If people donated as much before the disaster as they did after the disaster, then many houses could be in different places. Adaptation is a problem; if a person lives there he has to adapt to the conditions. The rest is destroyed by nature without consideration and that only creates more problems. The rainbows in the water that are so often seen here don't bode well. Nature shows no consideration and it reacts and it will not respond to prayers either. The problem is that one lever has had a positive influence on the next for a long time. In this transmission, each gear rotates at its own speed. Chaos does not work well and it is only a matter of time before systematic action no longer has a positive effect.
      Voters are only responsible as long as positive results are shown and if they are bad, then it is the politician's fault. The fact that the loser gets support from a mass of loser is not something that is often made into an issue. The voters give the power to the people and if they make a bad choice then of course only bad results will emerge.
      People have a problem with their judgment and this problem manifests itself in many areas. It is very certain that more is to come and those next who downplay it will have to reckon with a poor outcome.
      If things continue like this, we can expect noticeable changes every 5 to 10 years. The curve can suddenly go up very steeply and that this will happen is already becoming apparent here. There is no reaction to be seen that is associated with positive influences.
      Escape is impossible here and soon people will realize how round the planet is.

    Anyone who is willing to accept reality knows that Florida can't be saved. It is physically and economically impossible. I am Dutch, and here in the Netherlands we get taught at a young age about the importance of the water works to protect our country. Florida does not do anything at all in terms of protection, instead of that they rely on a system that is called thoughts and prayers. Well, good luck with that. And on top of that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation that erases most references to climate change from state law. So instead of addressing the issues based on reality they are in complete denial of reality. Problems do not go away by acting as if the problem does not exist. That is not how it works.

There's a ton of ppl in NC and TN, DEEP IN LAND who suffered, and are suffering right now, from Helene. I'd love to see your country deal with a cat 2 3 4 5, multiple times a year every year and then we will talk.
      Florida could do better. But really the whole planet could have done better... This issue took a hundred year to reach this point. It isn't stopping like a car stops at a stop sign even if we all started riding on horses instead of cars. Your country did play a role in our Florida Hurricanes, and Y'ALL do still use energy and add to problem of in various ways. 😉

Truth is, Florida has been getting slammed, smashed, drenched over and over and over again for many years - forever. Add too much CO2 to the atmosphere and the climate warms. Heat up the climate and terrestrial ice melts and water expands and seas rise. Hotter air holds 4% more water per degree F of rise. Hotter oceans make for hurricanes that intensify more rapidly and do more damage.

    I was born and raised in Florida, but my family are about to join the herds of families moving north due to the increasing heat, oppressive humidity, and the strengthening hurricanes that are causing us to not even be able to get our homes covered by insurance. This year, our house came a few feet from flooding, something we’ve never seen in our immediate area. My kids will not be able to buy a home here without seriously considering the future and how long it will realistically last. So we out. 😘✌️

    • @krystalmckenzie3041
      @krystalmckenzie3041 Месяц назад

      Also, as someone who lives in an area very much built to accommodate seniors, I can tell you that THEY DO NOT CARE. They don’t go outside enough to experience the impact. They only notice if they are directly affected, flood, or lose power. But there is such distrust in the media, they still think climate change is a lie being used by our government to take power and make money. Plus, they will die long before Florida sinks, so they have this idea that it will NEVER happen. So my childrens future, their grandchildren, they’re not willing to sacrifice for. It’s easier to deny that there is a problem, or to shrug it off because “if it’s as bad as you say, there’s nothing that will stop it now anyway.” 😢 So the old stay, the young move north if they can, and the children will pay for the sins of previous generations of selfish indulgence.

Because of the massive destruction, there should be no future or rebuilt homes on the barrier islands-to do so, would be throwing good money after bad. -a total waste! If we contiinue to warm the planet by ever growing green house gass emissions such super storms promise to strike further north as well. A personal decision to make is how can a family cut back on gasoline and methane gas use, including electricity made by utility companies. Even when that is done, our society is entirely wedded to plastic products, a hydrocarbon ladened industry. It is a challenge seniors need help with determining.
