Who remembers that episode of Diff'rent Strokes when Arnold pretended that he was dying so he could meet Muhammad Ali, then calls The Gooch on the phone when Ali comes to see him, and when Ali takes the phone and says "Hey Gooch" and when he gets no response he says "I think he fainted..." I always thought that it was cool how Ali got his trash-talking pointers from pro wrestler Gorgeous George Wagner, of who Ali was a big fan. Wagner told him something along the lines of people will pay big money to watch someone shut your mouth, so keep winning and keep talking. You don't have to like or accept what he may have done or said outside of the ring (You know damn well that NONE of the guys in Vietnam wanted to or believed that we should've been there), but you can't deny the fact that when you think of boxing, the first name that comes to mind is Muhammad Ali.
The goat of the boxing ring and outside it. Continue to rest in peace great man. Your missed every day by your army of fans and there's millions and millions and millions of them.
First off, R.I.P. Mr. Ali It's astoundingly ironic that he once had a mouth that never seemed closed only later to be hit with an illness that wouldn't allow him to speak one complete sentence.
RIP Muhammad. I've never been a huge boxing fan, and I didn't agree with all of his views, but he was a legendary athlete and was brave enough to speak out openly for what he believed in. One brainless idiot put a hateful racist comment here, if I see any hateful racist comments about Ali, I'll report them and get them removed immediately.
I will always love and respect this brother for how he stood up for his race and refused to fight in the war of the enemy of his people. God bless and rest your soul. Ali was a real soldier who threw it all away to take a stand.
Hi Folks. I watched his memorial. I heard them say over and over "he was a great humanitarian, had great character, etc, etc". I DON'T UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE REFERRING TO? PLEASE EXPLAIN HIS GREATNESS TO ME? THANK YOU.
I'm sure Joe Frazier was at the gates of heaven to meet Ali. I'm never one to be sad over any celebrity passing but with both Frazier and now Ali I am sad.
I Will Miss You Forever ❤️ Muhammad Ali🙏🏻
he was a great man with an anbeliveble personality
