Very nicely done primer on lasers. Would I be correct in assuming you used Brass Black or something similar on the text you engraved in the blade? Seemed too black to attribute just to the laser.
Hi Walter let me start by saying I enjoy your video's. I know this is old but have a question for you. Are you still using this (Atezr) or the Ortur for your makers mark? Do you get good depth in it? Thank you for your time and keep up the good work. Mike
I don't do cnc watching. You're diminishing your talent. Are you going to start making river tables next. One of my favorite you tubers just got unsubscribed.
You havent realy watched any of his vids have you? Hes not promoting soley handmaking knives, he does primarily production knives. A laser is just another tool to use in the workshop, just like cnc. It would be completely different if he would say it was 100% handmade, but hes not. Hes been 100% upfront about his work from the start.
Walter got me started into making blades… 87 knives ago. He’s the one knife maker I hope to meet at Blade show in Atlanta one day.
I've watched your videos for years, and just wanted to say that you do exceptional work.
thank you
Cool! Would love to get one of those one day.
I worked on high power lasers with thee Air Force, and I appreciate your attention to safety.
Walter's a bad ass!
Good show, Walter.
Fun tool for sure.
Cool video Walter. Ciao, Marco.
I've been looking at vcarve to cut inlays
This ought to look good
You could try a fibre laser and you would be able to do a lot with all kinds of metals
I wonder if you can also use it to etch channels into the tang area to promote even better epoxy adhesion?
Would that laser print a ruler on your knife blade that would last the life of the knife?
Hey Walter … another great video. What finish are you using on EDC with wood scales these days and why

To each their own. You do you and Walter will do what he wants. I'm sure he won't miss you.
I'm guessing you didn't know he has a tormach.
