"The stage play ""Mononoke: Zashiki Warashi"" will open at IMM THEATER in Tokyo on March 21, 2024. ""Mononoke"" was originally broadcast on Fuji Television's late-night anime program ""Noitamina"" in 2007, and was voted as very popular among dozens of works in a fan poll held as part of the ""Noitamina"" 15th anniversary project. Last year, as one of the commemorative projects for the 15th anniversary of the anime broadcast, a completely new theater version project set in the Ooku was announced and is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2024.
The first stage version was performed in February 2023, depicting ""Bakeneko"" from the 2006 anime ""Kai ~ayakashi~,"" which led to the anime ""Mononoke"" becoming a series. This is the second stage adaptation."
