- Hey guys! It's been a long time, I know, but I believe this video will make up for it! It's a vocal showcase of what may be my favourite Mariah concert ever!! The relatively newly uncovered live of Mariah on nyc, msg on 1993!!
It's a concert where Mariah's voice is at a perfect shape!! Her belts are soaring, powerful and resonant, her headvoice beautiful, and her whistle as iconic as always! Her low notes are not at their best just yet, but they are still pretty good!

@@rosemont2283 Yeah, I was also debating on that. It was supposed to be F#5 (and I was wondering why I only had three from vanishing, I had mislabeled the fourth one..), and it fell flat and is somewhere in-between.

Lows, midbelts, upperbelts, head voice, and whistles ( = her whole voice) were all on fire during this era!

Probably the most vocally consistent concert she’s ever done. MSG 1995 May top it for a few reasons for others, but her mid range and the dark tone feels the most natural for me, and she excels with it very well here. Her voice here reminds me of pre debut performance with Michael Bolton. Very natural for me.
Definitely agree! Her natural more chesty tone before she got brighter and girlier on daydream is my favourite! And her belts were soo good
Agree. I prefer this concert than any other daydream concert
The only advantage daydream has is ease, and perhaps breath support. Her vocal condition was still recovering from sickness so some upper belts were inconsistent. But overall MSG 95 may be superior, but her singing style was more sustainable in MSG 93.

Wow, even her head voice was so good here! All her registers were incredible here! Low notes, mid belts, some upper belts, head voice, and whistle notes-WOW, definitely a vocal legend!

I think she could do a mixed belt upto C6. Every note seems to low with the resonance
She could definitely go higher with a much lighter mix though. Here she was chesty enough and with an engaged core throughout her range!

I know daydream is fire , and of course many people will disagree with me , but the only thing daydream win on the battle is the consistency. Cz mid belt , lows, upper belt, agility , head voice, resonance power and whistle... music boxriah just ate it all.
So consistency of daydreamriah plus music box vocals equal the best vocalist ever.
@@raykkenmnc1555 I tend to agree. I love daydream I won't lie, but music box also does it for me. I'm a tad annoyed by all the flat G5s (that most of the time ended up being F#5s) on hero in daydream. But then again, music box didn't have a proper live G5 either.
15:48 - it's not an F#5, it's actually a slightly flat F5
I checked way too many times with a tuner and a piano, it's a flat F#5.
@@tasosGRvocals Well, I'm not sure what you're hearing, but it's even audibly out of sync with the melody hinting at off-key note = F5, and I also checked many times, it's not an F#5, nor it was intented to be, Mariah simply slided a bit above this note and basically cracked = her voice was tensioned = she was pushing = she was flat
@@lightning0506 I even slowed it down, and every time I check it's an F#5. She did it with a mordent. The fact that she was tense doesn't mean it's another note. There's another video that's also showcasing it as an F#5. If you disagree then that's fine.
Well, even if it was a flat F#5 - you should've wrote that it's flat, not a proper note, personally I don't consider borderline notes as solid notes within key, it's same history as with Rotterdam Hero G5, which was exactly the same, borderline note, either really sharp F#5 or really flat G5, it's the same thing, but the INTENTED note wasn't hit, that's my point

Yeah, it may be stylistic, but it's true that her lows weren't at their best just yet. Not that they were bad, but she could do better!
