- George Gershwin's famous "I Got Rhythm", arranged by André Desponds and performed by the Gershwin Piano Quartet. This group features 4 pianists on 4 grand pianos, playing, arranging and improvising on works by Gershwin, Ravel, Stravinsky, Piazzolla and Porter. The Quartet has presented its program all over Europe as well as in China and South America.

Fantastically well played! Knowing how difficult it is to synchronise 2pianos already, to achieve such clarity and witty timing on 4 is a remarkable feat. I love the sound of multi-pianos and for me this a feast, a real treat. The arrangement is full of fun & imagination. Bravo!

I remember when I played "I Got Rhythm" for my highschool teacher's wedding, and when I first heard of these 4 gentlemen playing in their own styles, gave me a great thrill where I never could have felt from any other piano arrangements. 10 years later I came back, still one of my top favorite piano music!

3:12 and on is really something. It's like you're looking at two sides of Gershwin. The guys on the right play it with this really fun catchy jazz vibe, the ones on the left play with what sounds to me like his more classical-influenced jazz bits. This is really something else.. and it should be cherished.

@harveyardman Yeah, it's pretty well known that Hiromi is a badass. She has a lot of fun behind the piano for sure. Makes it look easy. I believe you are talking about her dedication to Oscar Peterson. Great video. Check out her trio too.

There is quite a bit of musical overlap between the two composers. Listen to Rhapsody in Blue" and "La Creation du Mode."

Outstanding I'm curious if this arrangent is new or did it come from the original groups repetior. My father was Glauco's Dattili and was a member in the early 50s It sounds very modern....

i GOT a suggestion. Cut the quartet in half and make it a pair of duo pianists. That will sell better.

The melody is simple but the arrangement is highly complex yet, unfortunately, popular credit goes to the melody spinners.
