I love my shorter, upper body only days on Jugg AI. It’s like getting a little break in the week. The single stack sounded louder than I expected/remembered. Is it overdue for some silicone spray?
Nope, this is just what it sounds like. I think part of the problem is they use a full metal shield so it amplifys the noise and me having it sandwiched between concrete walls doesn't do it any favors.
@@fwiffo42 I thought there was something wrong with it when I first got it, but lubed it up and even sent a message to prime. They said it was fine. Seems most people who get it have the same worry lol.
Yeah good question, i'm assuming some are made from power bar stock and just have longer sleeves and/or it doesn't hurt to put them on, so maybe if people want to do other movements with them
Idk if you have ever owned it but the sorinex bulldog pad is really great for chest supported rowing. Way easier than straddling the bench and doesn’t take up much space.
I’ve seen it and the Bells knockoff. I just find a bunch of rack accessories add clutter and I think being bake to just use the bench, while not as effective or versatile, saves some money and space.
Looking good Brother!! These are nice and enjoying them as well. I might have to try doing. A format like this for the RP Hypertrophy program I am trying out.
@@BasementBrandon 55s don't make the math trivial! Bar, 100 (25s), 150 (50s), 200 (50s & 25s), 250 (100s). Or bar, half plate, plate, plate and a half, hundo. Milestones every 50 pounds!
I would have thought a bench bar would have a thicker diameter. Always feels better pressing with some thickness. The CB4 feels great in the hands. Maybe that’s just personal preference..
Hahaha, typical powerlifter. I will measure bar speed, distance between positions with laser, use rpe and speciality bars on power lifts, but halfass accesories. But i understand, i did it too. But hey, good grip - 40kg dumbells, easy work, thats good! And now i see you have 230 000 subs. Well deserved.
I know, thats why i said i understand it. But its a damn shame. You are actually lucky, you look good. But many others dont. Because ot this power lifts only mindset. I get it, you compete. But for us, normal lifters, i think we should make every muscle strong - curls, lunges presses... thats strenght training to me. No roid pumping, heavy weights to failure (on some movements). I love to see my total getting up, but i know, its not jist about that.
Great content Brandon! I don't compete. However, i do have a home gym and thought about buying a stand-alone bench press. I know you have a sorniex competition bench, but would you recommend any of rogues bench presses for a home gym?
The Monster and monster lite westside would be the most similar to what I have. I went Sorinex b/c I wanted to customize it some. If you have the footprint they're great.
Im a basement dweller also. My basement is climate controlled in a finished basement. How do bare steel bars do in your basement? Is it a lot of upkeep to keep it rust free? If so, how often does it require upkeep? I want to get a 2nd barbell, but keep going back and forth between bare steel or stainless steel. Any thoughts would be much appreciated
Do you run a dehumidifier or know what the humidity is down there? I run one in addition to the HVAC to help keep it down below 40% and my bare bars do fantastic. I think I've cleaned my bare steel TPB which is notorious for rusting maybe 2-3 times in the 1.5 years I've owned it.
Ty for the reply. It's at 46% humidity in right now in the winter. I suspect it's higher in the summers. Very good info. Love your channel. Thanks again.
Surprised the Bar is only 50lbs but dang 1K for it 😮. Brandon for years I've checked in to your channel to see what's new. I have to say you are top 3 the coolest Mofo on RUclips. I'm more into the Body Building side of things so it's nice to see your Gym equipment and set up expand. I remember when you didn't have any dumbbells. Your reviews on power racks, rack accessories, attachments are second to none. Your reviews on other stuff are good to but when it comes to Your ❤ The Rack you spare no expense. 🤣. Thanks for the content. 👍🏻. Stay Big 💪🏻 and God bless 🙏🏻
Thanks my dude! Yeah I think new the bars were around $800 and were made to order. These days b/c there aren't many of them around and no one wants to sell, the price is driven up!
These longer form videos are awesome!! Hope you can continue this in some capacity!
Appreciate the support 🫡
These are really cool Brandon, please keep em coming ! 💪🏻
Thanks man!
Great way of throwing in a bar review while making the video entertaining!
People keep asking what bars I use, so easy to add it in.
Love Dumbbell bench incline rows....although Don't quite rep 100's like that
Not with that attitude!
I didn't even notice the extra length of the sleeves until you mentioned it, and then I couldn't stop laughing.
They are pretty obnoxious
Love this form of content brother!
Thanks boss!
Those sleeves are fucking comical. I could load that bar up with tens only and max out well before I ran out of room.
Yeah besides my Texas Monster Squat Bar that weighs 65lbs, this is the 2nd longest bar I own.
Solid training videos and the insight to how you go about training is helpful. And finally the Campbell Row has made its return!
Everything old is new again!
Thanks again for some great content!
🙏
Was this your lunch break? Lol. Thats some serious motivation.
This day I trained from 11am-12pm
Hell yeah love to see the Iron Wolfe get some use. Legendary bar line.
Just need to get the others... 👀

@@BasementBrandon that makes sense. My Bells lat pull down is a lot quieter, but it has no shield and is in a very open area.

I started to superset too when it comes to accessory. Thanks brother.
No problem 👍
I competed in RPS 8 times and they used and Iron Wolfe Squat Bar. It was nicknamed the 65 lb Cheese Grater. LOL.
Yep! Great bar!
Good stuff, B!
Thanks! Hope you're healing well!
@@BasementBrandon Trying to, brother!
What do you think about the rogue monster pritchett pad for chest supported barbell rows?
It looks cool but I don't like big bulky attachments that are single use.
Miss that bar😢!!!
😅
I have a dumb question.
Why would a bench press bar have a center knurl?
BTW I never saw that variation of DB rows before, but I like ‘em.

Curious what secrets are here…. Brandons got some huge arms
Small shirts.
Would love to see the Iron Wolfe Bench bar compared to the Texas Bench bar. The TBB is super long too.
Prob pretty close. Texas has an extra 1mm in the diameter but the iron wolfe has an inch in each sleeve.
Looking good Brother!! These are nice and enjoying them as well. I might have to try doing. A format like this for the RP Hypertrophy program I am trying out.

A 50 pound bar needs 50 pound plates. Do you have any 50 pound plates?
Have 55lbs plates 😝

I think I’m addicted to watching Basement Brandon videos
I appreciate that. My wife won’t watch em 😝
it's a weirdo bar! :O 🙉
Def!
Bro Brandon💪🏼
Beach body workout.
Hell yeah, gimme some myo reps!
Shouted you out on the video the other day!
@@BasementBrandon that’s probably why I’ve gotten a few new subs 💪🏼 thanks a lot bro, I appreciate that
sleeves are 30 cm tooooo loooooong. i guess i’m weak 😅
Me too 😥

you still think you don’t need any bumper plates?
I need this bar for my 225 pr. 😂😂
Haha it’s def underutilized with bench numbers.
So it's kinda like the Cerberus Kratos Bar.
😂

Hopefully not 🤞
Full Sam Sulek - I love it Brandon! More of this!

I lay down when I do face pulls. That way I can load them with challenging weight but not worry so much about stability.
My nose is too big
@@BasementBrandon to lay down? Lol
That much weight on that bar is pretty funny to behold. I enjoy these sessions!
Def underutilized with my bench lol
MYO reps have been perfect to keep me in my hour time line 💪
Good to hear!
Nice video, thanks for talking about the bar 🔥
Any time!
Technique Matters -channel might have some tips for the flaring. Its an insanely underrated source.
Will give it a look, thanks!
Hey Brandon! Why don't you buy a magnetic case? It's awesome with all that metal around you when you're working out
