Because I want that to. But us as single believers in Christ, we have to put God first and not a goal that will probably never happen. God is the Lord, he can do whatever he wants. Of course you should consider attending the wedding of non-believers. You are supporting them in love....not necessarily endorsing their lifestyle and faith. To not do so puts a Christian very close to being in a place of judgement. Also, you can put cold water on a relationship with such a non-believer and jeopardize your testimony in the future with them. It bothers me that Christians struggle with these questions.
If your child even got to a relationship with a non believer that is bad and what did that child learn from parents, and also a marriage... But not to attend to the wedding of your child because it has a nonbeliever partner, that is a way for a total destruction of your child... Abending and rejecting your child its a slippery area.... You must teach your kids to live with a Christ but you cannot abendon your child.... That is so wrong.... Also living faith and religion are 2 different things. Of course we should unless they are gay weddings. If the religion is different, we can atleast attend the reception.
