It's no question that Ann Marie is an amazing violinist, and we would all love to see her join the band full time. But hidden in this video in plain sight.... Carter is a goddamn BEAST. The talent of this band. Off the charts. Can't wait till summer.
She was an absolute treat to an amazing 2 days! If you look at my 2018 Hollywood Bowl video, she was there in the first chair just like this time. I thought back then she had a "thing" for Dave but turns out they knew each other. Amazing to see it live!
It's time Dave and the guys do something with the violin again. I've seen Ann's performances with the band. It's clear she adds a different dimension with her playing style, yet fits in so well with the band. Fans are really missing this part of the band, it was so integral to them and defined a unique part of who they were...and still are (dare to say?). DMB has adapted so much throughout the years, it would be nice if Dave opened up his perspective a little after losing the violin, to consider bringing it back with a guest talent. See how it goes for a tour, or for a leg of a tour even. Try it out and see how it fits on them and the fans. Clearly in these performances during this show, the fans were eating it up, and it looked like DMB was kind of into to it, too.
She played more notes per minute than Boyd ever tried to. He was just riding the wave and collecting a paycheck. I say bring on Anne Marie. She’s bad ass!
shes great yes - stop being a simp - dmb just ain't the same without boyd ' and leroi .Jeff is great and has been playing with the and on and off for years . Just like tim 'you cant replace those guys.
@@TheRealMrBeard no you can't ' keep in mind - Boyd and Leroi are the original sound. Everyone else that comes along is playing with they both helped create. Never the less, she's awesome. Plus seeing her takes you back to Dmb before their sound changed ' in my opinion only.
@@arieslove6144 did you listen to DMB after 2010? Boyd was awful and literally on mute 50% of the show. He didn’t care anymore about his craft and it showed. The band knew that which is why he was put on mute. Not to mention all his personal issues with drugs.
The non musicians(I'm guessing) are missing the fact that Boyd a lot of the time was all over the place and oit of tune. Anne Maries a true violin player and can play much better than Boyd. Sign her up!!

I think she plays with orchestras, so it might be difficult to get her full time. They should have her play a t mores shows though!
