Good video! We stayed there on our first trip in 2021. We just stayed in the Avanti International, which was actually cheaper than Rosen @ Pointe and we had a great experience! We stayed in Rosen Plaza last year, that’s our favourite of 3 trips so far.
Having done a gate 20X at T2 in the summer, it's a mission to get to, with a really weird go through an old gate and back in another to get to the actual gate. I much prefer the new Pier 1 gates, although the toilets are tiny down there (especially inbound)
Went to Florida for the first time Sept 2023. Stayed at the Rosen Inn International, near the Maccies on International Drive. No major issues, basic room and decent breakfast. Pointe Orlando sounds horrendous, though 😕
Love the video guys! Sorry to hear about the hotel issues, I stayed in Tenerife recently and it was the first time I'd ever seen cockroaches as we had one in our apartment. Never again! 🤮
Rosen Inn @Pointe. Awful hotel, we stayed during Hurricane Ian on 6th floor. The room literally flooded due to the amount of rainfall. Wet carpets absolutely stunk the room out. 4 phone calls to reception 3 times phone put down on us told to fook off twice. Eventually we got moved to another room. Never again!
Hope all gets sorted with that hotel business. One would hope the company you booked through will handle this situation correctly and stop using that hotel altogether! Looking forward to the videos to come!
Hi scott what didi you think of the plane i make loads of screws and bolts for airbus and normally the olane is really scooter when flying have a good day
The first year we went to Orlando in 2000 we stayed there it was called the Quality Inn. There was nothing quality about it, it was shocking, very noisy and when a football game was on it was packed with people partying. We got bit too. Over 30 trips later and never returned and had an experience as bad. If I had known would have certainly have warned you off when we saw you at Drayton Manor. Love the Dockside resorts different class.
Great travel blog mate . We stayed in the Raddison back in 2019 for our first Orlando trip just me and Chris . Around 11 we got a text saying hurricane Dorian had shut MCO Just long enough to cancel our flight and so we woke up next day and went home 😢. We stayed at Disney pop century and had gobshites smoking weed next door which came under the door between the rooms . We were too scared to complain in case of repercussions so like complete morons we put up with it 😔. Once you stay in a universal hotel Scott it’s hard to go back lowes the operator are first class . As for TUI to Melbourne more than the drive I’m put off by the fact that you fly on a Boeing I’d rather pay a bit more and fly virgin on an Airbus 😎🧱👍🏽
Honestly, it’ll be the only place I stay over here now 🌍 The drive from Melbourne and Tampa has always put me off, flying into MCO means getting to Universal is easy and quick enough once through the airport.
T2 at Manchester is a whole different experience compared to 1 and 3. I explicitly look for flights out of T2 nowadays, can't be bothered with the hassle of security in 1 and 3
We got a quote for florida from virgin for next september 2 weeks..the offering was a bit crap to be honest as could not get us in where we wanted to be as we are going busch as well as disney/universal..very expensive too..we have booked stuff ourselves now (we are flying virgin though) and so far we have saved about 2k and that includes stopping on site universal and at other times hiltons..nice staff in the shop though
Palmetto bugs (aka American Cockroach) are super common in Florida. However, it is unacceptable to have them in a hotel room. Remember, when you see one, there are hundreds you don’t see. The Rosen is a dump. Sorry you had to go through that. Stay at the Universal or Disney hotels. It will cost you some extra money but you shouldn’t have any problems like you just had.
Guys feel you pain we stayed at rosin Inn to and had cockroaches in bathroom and bedroom and was no good for my boys to stay in not good enough we pay enough for the holiday at leaset give us a clean hotel
Definitely send an email to virgin where praise is needed. The issues with the room is not acceptable. We went on a super budget holiday to portaventua and stayed at the sol down the road, it wasn’t great but we saw it through. Not sure I was popular with the mrs :-)
Crikey! What a terrible start to your Orlando trip. Bad hotels and accommodation can ruin your holidays. So glad that you eventually moved to another hotel for peace of mind. From experience, if your hotel room smells then the alarm bells should start ringing. That's your cue to get out, don't hesitate. Sleep in the car if that's better for one night only until you find alternative accommodation.
That hotel that you initially booked into sounds like a bloody nightmare!😰 Smelling like cannabis, and then on top of that cockroaches?! That’s an instant, no, no from me, as cockroaches, carry all sorts of nasty diseases and things and can make you ill, so I don’t blame you for running for the hills after that🤢😣
I did not actually know that airports up north flew to America Scott. I thought they flew to European countrys only. Anyway I hope you enjoy your trip overall.
We are booked in the Rosen for three nights in August before moving onto the Hard Rock Hotel. Never had a problem in two previous visits but your experience seems awful. It’s a shame as it is in a great location on I Drive for restaurants and the smaller attractions
Stayed at the Rosen inn for 3 nights, the price was attractive. Had cockroachs in the bathroom and was like something out of a horror movie. Have never stayed there again. Lesson learnt, don't go to Orlando and cheap out on the accommodation
We stayed there this September for 1 night so we could visit Disney springs - our room was on the ground floor and there was a fellow British family sat outside their room smoking weed the whole time we were there 😅
After staying at Cedar Point’s Hotel Breakers, at Universal’s Surfside & Dockside hotels, going forward I’ll be taking the same approach and not cutting corners. Luckily next June on a road trip it’s mostly Hilton hotels booked 🤞
@yourexperienceguide I know a lot of people say you're not in your room that much but you can't beat I nice hotel with good facilities. Very nice hotels those are! We're going in May and have booked a nice air bnb.
Cool video scott can't wait to see the rest of the trip 😊.
Thank you 🙏
Good to see your Florida travel vlog , shame about the hotel problems you had , but look forward to watching the continuation of your vlog trip guys 👍
Thanks Chris

Thank you! I've stayed in a couple of budget hotels in Orlando now, and the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando was definitely the worst one sadly.
Finally used Terminal 2 last week going to Dusseldorf with Eurowings, 1000% better than terminal 1 and 3.
It’s so much better, should be the minimum standard of all the terminals really

Yeah we noticed the toilets were nowhere near big enough for how many people needed them!
I'm like a kid with a toy on travel day to florida love the place
The excitement for it is unreal :)
There is one thing guys, the weather in Florida will be way better than it is here. Have a great trip and will catch up on your videos.!!
Thank you 🙏 It has been very hot

Rosen Inn International is meant to be very nice, think it's just the one we were in that's a bit dodgy
Love the video guys! Sorry to hear about the hotel issues, I stayed in Tenerife recently and it was the first time I'd ever seen cockroaches as we had one in our apartment. Never again! 🤮
Thank you 🙏 It’s horrible finding them in the room 😑
That hotel sucks! Hopefully, you all have a great trip the rest of the way.
Thank you 🙏

It looks to have been sorted, just waiting on closure now 🤞
Thank you 🙏

Dockside has been great, really pleasant stay with great staff.
Rosen Inn properties will be avoided in future:
I don’t blame you for wanting to move hotels. Nothing worse than a smelly room.
The Radisson Blu looks fab though!
Love a stay in the Radisson Blu, just wish I'd had more time in there!
