Garrett Temple is going to steal JFL's roster spot... smh Why is Garrett Temple on the roster? The Toronto Raptors current roster: CP: Poeltl/Olynyk PF: Barnes/Boucher/Mogbo SF: Vezenkov/Dick/Ogbaji SG: Barrett/Brown/Freeman-Liberty/Walter/Temple PG: Quickley/Mitchell/Shead Two Way Contracts: G DJ Carton C Branden Carlson C Ulrich Chomche Exhibition 10 Contracts: F Quincy Guerrier Free Agents: G Gary Trent Jr (UFA) F Jordan Nwora (UFA) C Malik Williams (UFA)
JFL has a guaranteed contract. The roster spot will be created when sasha vezenkov is bought out. Sasha has a guaranteed starting spot for olympiacos for around same money and he prefers to go back home. unless raptors guarantee him a starting spot, sasha wont come and play for raptors for bench minutes.
reality is sasha defence was trash on kings so its probably better for raptors to buy out sasha and give a roster spot to a young guy who has upside to develop considering raptors are in year 1 of rebuild. Its why sasha didnt get alot of minutes on the kings cuz he defence was trash.
I have a feeling Shead might go to the 905? But the spot of Sasha will open. Big JFL fan here hoping for him. As for Temple... he is a coach on the end of the bench.
@@giovanni-ed7zq JFL has a partial guarantee contract though, big difference. JFL's partial guarantee contract (150K) kicks in if he’s not waived by July 23, 2024 and then at 850K if he’s still under contract at the start of the 2024-25 regular season. Sasha, from what I have read, just wants a defined role and not to be just be a benchwarmer. Sasha could be fine as a reserve, as long as it's a regular rotation reserve. Time will tell.
@@giovanni-ed7zq I actually watched a few of the games that Sasha played in last season. His defense was not trash in Sacramento. He's a solid team defender and gives effort in man defense. He has a high Bball IQ and is more often than not in the right position in defensive rotations as a help defender. He is also quite good at guiding his opponent into help situations.
a good start keep it up boys😊
Another BIG W
Good young bench on the horizon ❤❤❤❤
Raps starters are solid... We get a decent bench... playoffs soon... def next year... this year possible but slim
Good luck to IQ next season lol. Shead and Mitchell are monsters defensively. IQ gonna have a tough time in training camp.
Ja’kobe Walter 🗿
