Thanks heaps Robbie. I can't believe how many carp there are there at the moment LOL. I think that was the 3rd on a lure for me, all in that spot funnily enough! The other 2 were before I started my channel, and were smaller than this one.
Small lures mate. Trout style presentations. I used to pick up a lot on the old flatfish at Googong whilst chasing Browns. Small CD Rapalas caught a lot, especially the Mini Rap that is no longer available. They loved that lure. Smallest Stumpjumpers also got a few. Spinners, small jig spins and small soft plastics work well. Hope you get one on a lure soon :) A nice milestone to meet.
I LOVE IT WHEN U POWT ROHAN, it makes my day and you have taught me so much from watch8ng your videos, enough that I caught my first ever yella and reddie the other day and both were keepers
G’day, Rohan 👍🏼. Great to see you back and sticking it to them, mate…. That little spinner bait sure did do the job and well. That big carp you caught in the shallows sure put up a fight.
Great to see you back in action the water over there has been so dirty I even tried over there fishing myself and got nothing at all. If you ever time head over to where we went Cray fishing cod are going off tap I went out for 2 nights got 82 cod biggest was 64cm and fair few carp as well
Hi Rohan. Great to see you back fishing. Enjoyed your adventure. I have been fishing the Yarra last few weeks and have only caught carp. Great to see there are other varieties up your way. Kind regards MP
Thanks heaps Michael. I reckon if I was fishing with worms I would have caught LOADS of carp lol. I'll have to try fishing the Yarra someday, I've never given it a proper go
Well that was an absolute ripper of a session and i remember that spinner well, Robbie catching it was awesome. Glad it's retired now, i often do that with lures that have a story behind them 👍
Was only thinking about how long it had been since your last post…..hope all is well with you…Will be heading up to Echuca Moama in May so may hit you up for some information as the date nears if that is OK. Great session and video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Mark. Absolutely feel free to ask I'm happy to give you some tips. Just comment on whatever my latest video is when you ask and I'll see it and answer!
G'day Rohan, Christmas 2 years ago I caught a 40cm carp on a 2in curl tail grub in the pool to the right of the concrete ramp you were fishing from. It took me about 10 minutes to pull him out as I was using very light gear expecting only small to medium reddies, was great fun, Cheers.
Hey Rohan, great video as always. im thinking about going bait fishing with worms at the weir, do you think I'll catch a redfin? Or would lures be a better choice, thanks
Hi mate thanks so much. Worms will definitely catch redfin at the weir, as well as yellowbelly and silver perch. There are LOADS of carp there at the moment though, so you will probably catch loads of those haha. Good luck!
Thanks Rohan I know of folks who won’t by those spinners because they are Jarvis Walker and don’t work I have used them over the years found them to be very good and successful well done
G'day Rohan. I see the water level has dropped a lot there. Speaking of, the spot where you got that spinner caught on the stump at Waranga Basin is unrecognisable. The water has dropped so much you have to go at least 50 yards, probly more to even get to the water now.
Thanks mate. Hey that's awesome good luck!!! My best advice is to do what you enjoy, and don't be afraid to enjoy it. If you have fun then people should have fun watching, if you keep uploading people will find you. Good luck buddy
Awesome work mate. It's great to see that spot fishing well.
I'm jealous of that SP. I've never caught one on a lure. 👍👍

@007fishingcanberra G'day mate, where about do you lurk? I am Lake Burley Griffin based, with all other waters around us covered.
Looked like a lot of fun in the sun. Great video.
Thanks so much Vincent
Great to see you back out on the water mate. Hope you and the family are all doing well.
Thanks so much Roo
Great video Rohan. Good to see you back out fishing. The silver surprised me !
Thanks heaps Jacob. I've caught a few on lures there in the past but that was the biggest.
G’day, Rohan 👍🏼. Great to see you back and sticking it to them, mate…. That little spinner bait sure did do the job and well. That big carp you caught in the shallows sure put up a fight.
Thanks heaps Wayne. Haha yeah he fought like he was twice the size due to how he was hooked. It was good fun lol
Good to see you Rowan hey as much as you don't want to see carp in the water what a good laugh it was 😊
haha yeah I was having fun chasing em lol. Thanks Jeff

A nice bit of action Ro'!
Cheers mate
Hey Rohan, looks like you had some fun with that new lure🐟

Great video mate, well done. Sure looked like a carpfest. Imagine how many you’d get fishing with worms. Ncie silver too. Keep it up
Thanks heaps Cooper. Cheers mate
Awesome, Rohan . It's great to have you back. Hope all is well with you? Thanks for the killer content.
Thanks heaps mate. I'm doing well thanks, just needed a little break. Cheers!
Great job looked like fun
Thanks Tom
That was a nice silver to catch on a spinner. Looks like you might need to head back there and do some bait fishing to clean up some of those carp
Thanks Brenton! Haha yeah there may or may not be a float fishing session with corn in my future lol
Well that was an absolute ripper of a session and i remember that spinner well, Robbie catching it was awesome.
Glad it's retired now, i often do that with lures that have a story behind them 👍
Cheers mate. It's actually the first lure I've ever retired, but there should have been others along the way that ended up being lost haha

Thanks Rohan

Thanks Peter. I know people like that as well! They've always worked well for me, nice and cheap too!
Might be time to just take a net with all those carp. Thanks for the video Rohan. Cheers
Haha I've done that before it's loads of fun!!! Good idea haha
Good to see you out and about doing the things you love, catch carp??
Haha I love catching any fish! Cheers Gary
I have the same spinner, actually bought it at the servo in Elmore! 🎉😂
Great video as always!
Haha that's awesome Matt! They are one of my all time favorites. Cheers mate.
I actually tied it to my rod about an hour before the video 😂too keen to get out and use it now that I know it works
@@Skate.fabricate Good luck with it mate
That spot always seems to turn something up for you Rohan. You never know what will be next.
Very true Frank! It still surprises me sometimes.
Rohan I have that same spinner, did I get it in a 5 pack with a black one and 2 plain ones??
Yep it comes in a 5 pack, usually 1 red 2 striped and 2 black. They all catch fish but the red one is my favorite
@@RKJFishing yeah I’ve got the same pack and I catch reddies on them
How Impressive mate I didn’t know you could catch silvers on lures. You’ve encouraged me to try and catch a silver on a lure now! 🤣
haha good luck buddy! I've caught 3 now on lures but that one was the biggest
Has the water cleaned up much? Loddon is still a mess
It's not as clear as it usually is this time of year but it's ok. The rains today probably muddied it again
If you had a landing net, it would be fun to scoop a few carp from the shalow area😄
Hahaha you're right that would be loads of fun!!!
He’s back ! Where you been !!????
haha cheers mate, just took a much needed break
Hey rkj black curl tail plastics carp love them give that a go
Thanks for the tip Josh! I'll give it a go
Cast it about a metre in front of them because they spook really easy but they love it and hold on
@@joshuamcdonald8716another carp on lure enthusiast I like it, pink works a treat as well 👍
Or a weightless nymph with a fly hook.
Yeah ok I'll have to give that one a go
6.01min mark look at big splash in the background top of the rod !!!!
haha I didn't notice that before! No doubt it was one of those carp jumping around lol
So my FB guess of a yellow turned out to be a silver, I got the carp and the reddie correct though
Haha yep!
Soft plastics work for carp sometimes
I've heard that but never caught one on a plastic yet. I may go back next week and try
Hey mate, late comment, I've noticed you haven't been posting much. Hope your doing well! Much love❤

Hey Steven, yeah it certainly has. Oh wow I'll have to take a drive over and check out Waranga, I love fishing it when it's lower
Yeah. The strand of trees where you were bait fishing that arvo is all out of water.
I’ve fished there before and caught a rainbow trout a shit tons of carp no red fin
Wow you did really well catching the only trout in the river!!!
hey cobba, nice video. i’m just starting a channel inspired by yours and robbie. any tips?
