How to allow the use of a Pivot Table and its Slicer on a worksheet that is protected.
This allows you to keep your data safe from the user while allowing them to still analyze the data, expand and collapse rows, and filter though all of the data in the Pivot Table.
This tip works if the worksheet is protected with or without a password and it should not interfere with any other part of the spreadsheet.

Thank You - i was specifically looking for this one. It seems simple on hindsight, but requires someone to point it out.

If you are using a Slicer just for a table (not for a pivto table) you will also have to "check" the "Use Autofilter" option or you won't be able to filter the table when you select the options at the slicer.

Thank you for this video! This was exactly what I was looking for. Have you found a workaround for the slicer timeline not having the feature for 'disable resizing and moving'?

how do you only allow someone access to use slicers but not filter on the pivot table itself? seems like every option I try it either wont allow both slicers and pivot or has to allow use of both. thanks

Hi sir, I have a certain data inside the table that I've locked so nobody can edit, but I still need the slicer yo function since it is a long list. Do you have solutions for this? Im using a normal table with data and slicers
