    It was great for a while... and then 'circus' took over 'melody' and prevailed at the end! It should n't be that way...
    Of course, with utmost respect to both of them... me being a musician myself in my own way!

    It is not a easy way to make Jugalbandi with vilion Instrument with sitar and sitar with vocal only Ustad Sahid pervaze can do this because to follow Gaki in sitar need very hard work with bolh Right and Left Hand ...Thaks of Lot

    classic example of differences in philosophies of hindustani and carnatic. Kumaresh ji played such long pieces without any feel, Ustad shahid parvez made a huge impact with such small pieces.

      Great, more racism/cultural racism

    • @hindustanimusiclover6543
      @hindustanimusiclover6543 8 лет назад +4

      well Carnatics have been dismissing all genuine critique of their imitation of the west all this time as racism. which has led to this disaster called carnatic music.

    • @victoriouse

      What kind of god are you, who knows these things. Who is it that knows that it knows? Stop your racist uninformed simplification of the Carnatic culture please, spread love not hate.
      I too find Hindustani music more compelling than Carnatic, but I have also heard some great works by Carnatic musicians.

      I am Hindustani lover myself but the feel and the impact you are talking about is the difficulty any sitarist would face while competing with a much more efficient instrument. Ustad Pervez's phenomenal technical prowess allows him to even dare replicate the violin. Most sitar players would not even come close.

      Hindustani Music Lover Vinayak Dev western music can be note, key or chord based or all three. Carnatic music doesn’t have any such approach. It encompasses all of it through micro tones and gamakas. At the same time it is based on raga an d Tala. So it’s not a valid point you are making. This means you don’t understand western or Carnatic or even Hindustani music. I

    South Indian musician changed alot now days they are copying northern Indian musicians now days truth is always bitter this is not good for their music

    • @blenditlikethat9158
      @blenditlikethat9158 3 года назад +2

      Carnatic music has existed centuries before the existence of hindustani music which is what SPK is playing. There is no copying its more adapting the best of North Indian music and please note it goes both ways. There have been many instances where North Indians musicians have adopted from the south. One needs to be objective and give credit to both forms of music rather than bickering and stating one is better than the other. The word copying is very derrogative, Sorry to say!
