    Boost Mobile does have better phone deal when porting over. Better deals than US Mobile and Mint Mobile. But customer service is better with US Mobile and Mint Mobile.

    I just purchased a three month new service card at Walmart for 15.00. I installed the sim, used the QR code, filled out the form and service was active in about ten minutes and I've had no problems so far.

      my year of mint runs out in 2 days, & I have a 3 month boost, supposedly their t-mobile sim. I've never used boost, but mint has been amazing. Couldn't pass up the $15 deal though. hope it's as easy for me :)

    Purchased a phone today. Went online to activate. Put in my info and even my credit card number. Everything went ok except that they did not provide me with a phone number. Called almost 5 customer reps. 3 hung up on me because they could not figure it out why they couldn’t activate. The other 2 reps just said “their system is down” So now im stuck with a phone and a non refundable top up card costing me around $70. Please people DO NOT go with boost mobile. This is far by the worst company and even fraudulent in a way.

      I been a Boost mobile customer since the Nextel Chirp phone Days. Like 2005 or 2006. I switched to Cricket 2yrs ago when Boost Mobile sold they're company to Dish Network, it was then that I realized Boost was into False advertisement......the Advertised UNLIMITED INTERNET SERVICE would Slow down at 32gbs, so slow it was no reason to use the Internet. I went to Cricket & have Unlimited Internet service also free HBO Max Service as advertised. Thanks Cricket(AT&T Towers).

    I will use boost mobile to check it out. They also included roaming Canada and Mexico.

  • @bennguyen1313
    @bennguyen1313 9 месяцев назад

    If you have to travel occasionally, I assume the service doesn't support roaming in other countries?
    Do you know if it's possible to test the service with one phone, then after a few months, test it with another phone.. I've got 2 phone (Pixel 3 XL, Samsung A23) that I'd like to use with Boost just by swapping SIMs? Or do they only support eSIMS and CDMA?

    Boost used to be gthe best you could get, before the DISH merger and disbanding of their nationwide network, now none of their plans provide enough data for the month and you get throttled to the point you can't even load a simple webpage once you reach the cap

    Great series of videos
    As someone living in England, I find the american mobile / cellular market bizarre, not to mention expensive
    I currently have a sim only deal giving me 160 GB of data each month, plus unlimited talk and text, for £20 each month.
    No speed caps on the data either

      England is the size of Rhode island, so it's easier to run the infrastructure. The US is much bigger, so the companies need to jack up their prices to compensate for the $$$ they put in to run their infrastructure.

    If anyone is thinking of using Boost, reconsider. Slap yourself a few times then snap out of it. When boost would throttle my data I couldn't even log into the website to buy more. It was that slow. They suspended my account permanently for browsing youtube and then buying more data when it ran out. They don't want you to use data that you pay for. They are complete trash. When they closed my account, they didn't tell me. They said I needed to pay the bill. Not even thinking about it I paid the bill. Then called customer service after realizing it wasn't quite the due date yet. When I asked for a refund since they had me pay a bill for no reason and the account was closed, they said they would need to call me back on a contact number just to refund my payment. So basically no dice there, I didn't have a number to give them. Didn't even give disputing the suspension a second thought after over 15 years of being with them out of laziness.

    Everyone complains about the data but if you use wifi as just about everyone offers free wifi then this service shouldnt be a problem. I just need be able to make and receive calls and text. I can wait until I get on wifi for whatever else. It is that simple. Shoot if there is no wifi I don't need to be using my phone until I get home. And I guess it is time to get back to writing down directions....lol

    After 8 months of decent cheap service,
    I am 4 days in trying to cancel and 4 waisted hours on calls and boostmobile won't give me a port out PIN.
    Don't use boostmobile if you will ever try to switch carriers as they will hold your phone number hostage.

    Boost is the best. If you want a phone provider that won't credit your account with the money you send them boost is for you. They are kind enough to constantly throttle my data when I reach my limit on my UNLIMITED plan. Boost is one of those companies where having no provider is better than boost.

Sad to here about them now, i just got back on the road & need a second phone just for work and don’t want to get another phone with Verizon even though i use them for my main line now…Decision!

      @user-jp5di4ol7q 21 день назад

      lol you just noticed? overcharged or you were just overpaying? I'm only curious. I've never tried boost but I did buy a 3 month card for $15 I'm gonna use. definitely not using my main # though. I hear I'll never get it back from them....

    • @VirtuesOfSin
      @VirtuesOfSin 21 день назад

      @@user-jp5di4ol7q I didn't "just notice", I've been requesting that they remove the charge after every billing cycle every month. Every month it's the same song and dance "the charges are canceled, you won't see it until the next due date".
      Next due date comes around, I call them, they act surprised, then tell me it will be removed NEXT pay cycle.
      In the end, it never got removed. Thinking of sueing, tbh... I have records of our conversations of them saying they removed the charge and billing statements that say otherwise.
      (Edit) To clarify, my original Boost plan was their $10 Plan for 1GB, with a $5 and $10 add-on for 3gb. They then released their $25 unlimited plan, but they had changed the way the service had worked so you couldn't remove add-ons yourself (prior to this, you could add/removd add-ons without contacting Customer Support, apparently they changed ownership or some jargon). I had spent nearly a year asking them to remove the add-on charges, which they never did.
      I finally called them, and gave them the ultimatum. I told them that I wanted to change to the $25 plan, but I wasn't going to until the add-ons were removed, and if they weren't removed by the next pay cycle, I would be switching services.
      The next pay cycle, the add-ons were removed and I swapped to the $25 plan. End of story, right? NOPE
      The VERY NEXT payment, I was charged $40 instead of the $25. At first, I thought the $25 was a promotion they forgot to say was only for the first month. But then I checked the bill, and I was being charged for the 1gb and 2gb add-ons on top of my unlimited plan.
      I contacted them immediately, they apologized for the mistake and credited me $15 for the error, stating that the charges would be removed during the next payment. Next payment cycle happens, same song and dance, but without the $15 credit compensation.
      Every month, for three years, I contacted them to fix the mistake. I only put up with it because, back then, $40 for unlimited everything was still the cheapest option (next cheapest was $45). Except this year, I got an offer from Spectrum to have a free plan for 12 months because of my loyalty with their internet service provider.
      I again called the Boost Service Provider and gave them an ultimatum, stating that I had been overcharged for 3 years - that I had records of their conversations with me as well as the bills that contradicted their statements. I told them that, if they didn't credit me for all yhe overcharges and remove the add-ons from my account, then I will no longer be using them (I would have been okay with them not crediting me tbh, I was just fishing for compensation). The employee laughed at me on the phone, told me there were no add-ons on my account to remove, then told me that I was fishing for compensation.
      The next pay cycle came around, and lou-and-behold, the add-ons were not removed. I didn't pay my bill, instead called Spectrum and went through the procedure to change services. When I called Boost to get the information needed for the swap, they acted surprised and asked me why I was switching. I'll admit, I lost my cool and said something uncouth to the employee I was speaking with (something along the lines as 'because you people are so incompetent that you can't remove additional data add-ons from a person's account that already had unlimited data'). The employee seemed taken aback and asked if there was anything they could do to fix it and stop me from switching. I again, lost my cool, and said something along the lines of 'you've been given 3 years to fix it but never did. I don't trust you to fix it anymore.'
      In the end - I'm using Specrum now, and contemplating sueing for the $600 lost... but it seems like such a miniscule amount to be sueing over. I just dislike the fact that they had bait and switched me for one month by removing the add-ons for one month just to re-add them without my concent after I swapped to the $25 unlimited plan.

      I've switched to Boost for 3 months numerous times then back to Metro by T-Mobile to get a phone I really want but don't want to pay $450 for the Galaxy a53 like I did last August. Now I want to switch to get the iphone 11 or 12 (probably the 12) for about $250 for everything. Last year I was hitting 500Mbps on the Galaxy a32 5g regularly, so the speeds of their 5g are decent and when I was only connected to 4g LTE I was getting a little over 150Mbps which really surprised me. I did hit 35Gb some how in 3 weeks so I had to deal with no internet on the phone for like 10 days, then I started using Data Saver and never went over 12Gb in a month since and I'm a heavy RUclips watcher. I hope everything goes good today, I could switch or upgrade to the Pixel 6a at Metro for $169+tax+activation. That's my second option if I don't switch to get one of the 2 iphones. I'm super conflicted!!

      I had boost mobile for several years back in the late 2000s early 2910s. When things were good they was a great phone company to deal with, but dealing with customer service was a giant pain in the butt anytime you had issues or needed to change your phone number for whatever reason.
      I've been without a cell phone for almost a decade and I'm leary on getting one but despite my issues with boost they are a consideration, if for no other reason than value
