I curious about lamda-a for lightweight concrete. We will be used lamda-a is equal to 0.6,0.8, 1 times lamda when only lightweight concrete is applied or use the factor whether the concrete is lightweight or normal weight ?
Eg. if I used normal weight concrete the factor lamda-a is 0.6, 0.8, 1 lamda-a or use lamda-a = 1 for this case because I'm not used lightweight concrete? 16:24

this is all good...however....I have seen not design ....of throughout bolts with a backing plate...
I have a Simpson strong wall sitting on existing footing...my best option to transfer the loads to foundation is to drive the bolts through the 18"thk. concrete and provide a backing plate....
the Simpson wall is 4" wide with 1"diam. rod....so...the distance to one edge is 2"...
I could pour / epoxy new concrete...but...that would not make any difference...there are not edge distance issues on the long side...
any suggestion...or...can you address an example for such conditions

Thanks for the video. For the bond failure, ACI 318 figure shows the stress distribution and that it basically doesn't get any larger than cNa even with a deeper embedment depth. Do you know why that is? Intuitively I would think the deeper you embed an anchor no matter if it's mechanical or adhesive, the greater strength you will have.

What if the anchor is in a pedestal? Is ha = pedestal height?
