I got mine last year and certainly have got my moneys worth. I Absolutely love it. I would buy another one. The peace that comes from sitting in the middle of a calm lake is just awesome. Can't describe it lol. Hope you have enjoyed yours so far.
I just picked one of these up from Amazon last week. I was watching this video as research before buying and was so surprised to see where you launched from. I live in Cranberry!
Got mine for $80! For about $110 total, got boat, wet shoes, and life vest. Not too bad imo. One reviewer mentioned not inflating seat bottom much if you want to sit lower in the boat. Maiden voyage this weekend so I’ll try both ways as I’m 5’8”, lol.
they're a great starter ... I did develop a leak after a few trips and I quite sure that developed from just inflating it ... I got stuck on a shallow inlet with an oyster shell bottom yesterday and now I need to find another not obvious leak ... if not for those problems I'd definitely recommend this for a beginning kayaker lacking space for storage ... I'll be upgrading to an inflatable with a protective out layer sometime in the future
leaks can be a problem I mitigate that by wearing a shorty wetsuit and get out the kayak at around waste deep in water than carry it out ....Beach landings where its rocky or sharp is certainly an Achilles heel
I'm in the US. I added this kayak to one of my lists on Amazon so I could follow it. In the last month or so, the price has ranged from $70 to $150. Walmart seems to always match the price so patience will get you a better price.
4 minutes?? It took me more like 40 minutes to set it up, with a foot-pump (didn't have the pump that comes with it new). Going out to buy a battery-powered pump today. Otherwise, very happy with my first trip down the Bow River in it, a mostly 'lazy' river, with some choppy bits, particularly on a windy day, as yesterday was. Used my own, heavier, paddle. Only half-filled the bottom of the seat to aid stability. I just left the skeg in place when I packed it up; wasn't immediately apparent to me how to 'unclip' it. A bit of a challenge getting all the water out after. As a first-time kayaker (as opposed to rubber-dinghy pool-toy-er), I highly recommend it.
Have you any issues removing the Skeg, I purchased 1 for myself & my wife. I had no issues in removing the skeg prior to putting it in the water, no I can’t remove the skeg from either kayak?
totally agree its a lot of rolling. I bought a different pump with an inflation/deflation opening. this helps as the pump that comes with the kayak is pretty poor then you can roll a little of the boat until you feel the air then go to the pump and suck it out then roll a bit more
I saw both of your video kayak outbound and the K1 but I'm don't know what to buy between this two In my country, the outbound is 200$ ans the K1 is 349$
probably sold out ....try Amazon the kayak I used to make this video and from Cabellas was sironically stolen so I bought a replacement same price from Amazon it took about 2 days to arrive and for the same price
Got mine + life vest recently from Amazon. 4 days for delivery. Watched the outrageous prices for months, but price finally dropped (a lot) for a few days. Now all I need is Spring to arrive. Can't wait!
I am 6 foot three I can get in it with enough leg room ...The disadvantage is the height is a little tight so your feet get squashed but there is more than enough length
@@thetramblingman463 thanks! Im the same height. I will be buying Challenger K1 after your recommendation. Have you tried not inflating bottom of the seat? Some people say it's more comfy this way.
@@zaxzax6475 It might work but find typically that not inflating the floor gives the boat a hammock effect so you do sit lower in the water but you plough through as though laid in a hammock ...My Outbound kayak it dreadfull for that effect but suppose you could do it more with the K1 as its built way better ...Let me know how it goes and I will try it net time I'm out
Boat: Allows you to cross water without getting wet. "It's a bit wet... 10/10 I can't find anything really wrong with it." No thanks, if you swim you get wet AND you don't need to buy a boat. Good boat: water outside boat. Bad boat: water inside boat. = BAD BOAT!
disagree there is no such thing as a proper inflatable ... it lasts so long ... The k1 I am on my 2nd year with it and did not cost $1000s whats the point its about having at least one season enjoying the water and I am about to start paddling another year
I bought two of these so I could go out on local lakes with friends and family - and everyone so far has had so much fun!
i bought it today for 92$ on amazon. Can't wait to try it in Vancouver, BC. Im so excited.

Thanks Kimberly yes I love it...I was out tonight sat in the middle of a lake watching beavers brilliant !!
I agree it's amazing being out there.

I just got my 10 y/o the K2 on sale for €64, very excited to try it out with him. Thanks for the review

Great video! I got one 2 weeks ago and love it. Actually goes back in the bag. Tons of fun!
thanks for the feed back Randy and happy paddling

Hi Melissa I can see that idea working the position is rather high for sure
Now that you've had it a few months, what do you think? Has yours leaked? I've had that problem with two inflatable kayaks so I'm kind of wary.
Not a commercial in any way but just love this kayak and gets you on the water for very little financial outlay what is there not to like?
@Gatlin Crew awesome gets faster the more times you inflate it

Awesome. I just picked up a set of 2 for $200. Perfect for me and my brother to go fishing out in small waters
Great stuff you will love them

just remember to put the skeg in the back

Have the K2 which is really good and just bought the K1 which is coming next wk 👍
great stuff .....Im the other way around K1 first and have the K2 to play with once the weather gets better

Thank you, perfect reviews
I looked at renting a kayak for 4 hours and it was the same price as my K1. K1 and K2s are bargains.
go get one
You must be from Lancashire, England?
I got the 2 seater love it
Found deflation a real pain to get it all flat and packed up. Any advice welcome...

I got mine for 1200 SEK. I got the K2 for me and gear and the K1 for the kids. I don't like my legs feeling trapped in the K1.
that is a downside ... the outbound one has loads of room
Did you end up getting the K2? I'd love to see a review if you did.
Hi Simon yes I did get the K2 and certainly will be reviewing it shortly and thanks for the question
@@thetramblingman463 I look forward to seeing it. Great review for the K1. Thanks
@@treetopsleeper I just returned my K2. Bottom chamber leaked on second time out. Too bad, pretty nice for the money.

personally i would go with the K1 but look around they can be cheaper in places like Cabellas
The K1 is on Amazon for $130 right now!

ok then lol
I am disappointed that there was no nonsense. There was to much sense in this video.
lol I will pop some nonsense into the next one
Sturdy? Solid? That is nowhere near the truth! A proper inflatable is a much better investment. It's a pool toy and wont last long.

Why do none of these self titled "reviewers" forget to mention that there is no drain plug? That's the only con. Terrible review.
why is that a con its not like it does not weigh much ....just lift it and tip any water out
