Man thank god Reggie still alive to tell us the history, Especially us 80s babies who knew 2Pac but didn't really KNOW 2Pac at ages 7-10 years old, Everytime Reggie pops up I click instantly, I was a deathrow fan and I have learned so much stuff I had no clue about, Thanks Reggie brotha appreciate ya boss 💯👌
Me too bro. Anything from Reggie... str8 CLICK! 💯

Reggie is the man
Nothing but respect 👊🏴
I think that covid-19 scare let him realize he didn't want to take this to the grave
You must not watch documentaries cuz this man is a compulsive liar and got a lot of people killed because he tried to take death row when it v was worth something. He was only a security for death row thats it
Reggie makes good content he was there but he’s biased so I don’t know if everything is factual
Changes turn out to be a game changer that song was killing radio and video back in 98 and is still so relevant today (good persistence reg)
@@reggiewright track masters produced changes?
@@reggiewright Trackmasters were putting out hits during that time.
I'm glad they remixed it. The OG version wouldnt made an impact as the version that was put out. The OG version was recorded in 1992
@@A_Dubb618 I agree the remix version are better in some cases
@@reggiewright no Reggie, I'm talking about the OG version, not the version yall put out. The OG version was recorded in 1992. It has a different beat and Pac puts says "1992" at towards the end of the song. Just check it out on RUclips.
I’m glad the bootlegs hit. They butchered so many of those Pac songs when they were officially released.
Not just changing production but taking out entire outros and backing vocals.
@@reggiewright "Grab Tha Mic" was sample heavy, but go back and listen to that one, I believe that's one of his best tracks, I don't think that one has been officially released to this day!

Mainstream loved “Changes”. That song used to be all over MTV TRL LIVE and it wasn’t many hip hop songs on TRL.
Changes got played out very quick he's got a ridiculous amount of songs that're way better tbh

Reggie had the blueprint right in his hands with all those handwritten album tracklistings, those are worth a fortune now $30,000 - 40,000 Gz per page!
@@reggiewright you did the right thing tho
I vividly remember going to Dominguez high on the Eastside in 1997/1998 and one day this Mexican kid came to school and was like they got Makaveil 2 at the Compton swap meet right now but there is only a 100 copies. At that point we were like man Pac ain't dead ( even though i stayed around the corner from baby lane and them on California street? And word was buzzing otherwise) how he dropping all this new music especially under the name Makaveli which already has it's ties then the Makaveli kept coming 3,4,5,6 on top of that the early stages of the internet...the good old days
do you remember the songs that were on the different tapes
Yes, that was the early stages of the internet right before burning CDs and downloading songs became a normal thing!
@@datniggaeazye.5968 not really expect for Makaveli 5 or 6 was a lot of the one's he did with boot camp for the one nation album, that one we ordered off a dude in Canada
Same down here in Miami. Those tapes were in all of the flea markets. I was a freshman in high school ‘97/‘98. Good ol days fa sho!
Thank God for them bootlegs or we would've had to wait years for RUclips to upload them original recordings. By the way, most of his original recordings sound better than the remixes they put out
All of the original sound better

Johnny J beats were better
1999 those bootlegs were in cd stores for $30 bucks a piece. Crazy when you think about it. And this was Michigan!!

There was no social media back in the day but everyone remembers where they were when Kurt Loder appeared on MTV saying Tupac died. 😞

Maaaaan. So glad the greatest hits came out. And all them bootleg makaveli albums was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great content Reggie! Keep it coming 👍🏾
I was a senior in high school when that makaveli mixtapes came out and I really thought Tupac was still alive😢
Lol 🤣🤣🤣 me to
I had just graduated in May 96.
Right...all the internet stuff regarding Pac in 1997 and 1998 was freaky as shyt lol, had me believing he was alive too. There were whole websites dedicated to listing reasons why he was still alive lol
Lol remember we all thought he was coming back after 7 years, so 2003? I was really into those websites in 99/00.
It’s a shame those websites do not exist anymore.
@@kylehill6384 lol facts
This is the content we're here for. Any truth to the cds getting stolen from suges car while getting serviced?
I'm grateful for the bootlegs but they also did a lot of harm on the whatever was released versions. We would all love those tracks to days end if we didn't have the OG's to compare them too. It was a lose lose.
Any update on new masters of the close to fully finished OG's being officially released? With streaming services, it kind of makes sense now, and would be cheap to do
@Tree Snackz I agree and I dnt. Some of the remixes are better. After hearing the bootlegs, we had a 97/88 nostalgia around those songs. If we only heard the remixes or heard the remixes first, we would've liked those more

Much luv Reggie alwayz start my day off right lol I appreciate yu sharing ya stories 💯
@trufeel Yep. 9am each day and hitting the sub!
Those leaks cemeted Tupac's legacy and extended his reach.
Had them all, think copies of eBay years ago . Sadly all gone but most r here on youtube thankfully
I alawys thought i got the Makaveli bootlegs in 1997 but maybe it was 1998 going on what John says here...but i am glad they leaked, we got to hear the original versions before they were remixed and released.
Grab The Mic is one of my favourites from the Makaveli bootlegs that still has not been released to this day in OG or remixed form. Also the OG version of Black Jesus is another favourite...in my opinion the remixed Black Jesus beat on Still I Rise was poor compared to the original beat on the Makaveli bootlegs
Thank y'all 4keeping it real blessing to all of y'all
I believe u Reggie at first I was I believe all them documentaries until I seen bomb 1st an heard u talk an u make sense an facts is just that facts keep killing Reggie
There is a channel on here that has all the Makaveli songs compiled, I’m pretty sure it’s like 3 whole playlists if not more. Definitely need some hours to get through them all.

That Greatest Hits had good quality sound
Everybody was using Pac to get money after he passed damn
I remember the Makaveli tapes, they were big. And it's funny bkuz for bootlegs, they were done well. I had up to 4, but I heard it was a Makaveli 5….....
The Makaveli tapes made me despise the remakes💯👌
It goes all the way up to 12
It was like 13 Makavelis
Great interview with Reggie 💯
Ive always said CHANGES is top 3 best Pac songs lyricaly....Absolutely
changes is one of 2pacs most iconic songs though. as far as 2pac getting more world wide recocgnition and blowing up even more after his death and becoming iconic, changes was the soundtrack. it maybe pacs most iconic song for many people

Some of the bootlegs made it to national release, some I still haven't heard since 98

In 97 Vancouver Canada had data DVDs floating around that were labled Dat 1, 2, 3, 4 in CD Quality .
They were different from the bootlegs which hate horrible quality.
That's how far Pac's music reached.
The greatest of all time

You did the right thing handing over the personal affects of Pac to his estate.
Excellent questions you are smooth with the responses
The first day tupacs greatest hits came out I got it my disappointment was the track i ain't mad at cha wasn't radio clean version, it use to be quiet hard to get that song on single , godbless you R W,
This was my favorite information by Reggie. I wondered about all the Makaveli bootlegs.
Keep the great informative videos coming Reggie. Thank you for keeping it 💯 with us while others just create lies and fictitious stories.
Greatest hits was great. The only flaw was unconditional love having that edit on it
Any channel reggie touches blows up, look at gangster chronicles ,then when reg wasn't there it was bullshit. Hope you and John keep this going reg with guests it can only get better. Hope the health is getting better reg 🙏 appreciate your time and dr stories.

Wish Reggie would’ve done more in the music industry. He’s hella smart 💯💯💯
Greatest hits is a classic classic. Album. I couldn’t afford all his albums as a kid so it was a perfect CD. Must have for pac fans…
I ain’t mad at cha. Has two versions on the last verse… cd and music video different.
Yeah I like that other version they need to put that out digitally
Always said Reggie should talk more about the business side of the music industry esp in the 1990s, he would make premium content with that. No one out there is doing that, maybe Dame but his delivery is brash and off putting. Reggie's delivery is a bit more engaging, less arrogant so to speak, and with good comic delivery. The drama stuff is cool, it's entertainment, but he should put those exclusives in a book of something or screenplay for a series, for residuals.
@reggiewright what was Suge’s reaction when the Makaveli bootlegs came out back in ‘98?
You did the right thing by giving PAC stuff to edi.
There were 17 cedar . They sold for S15. each in Minnesota
I have an original makaveli 2 bootleg - blue cd and misspelling of “makavel 2 - thug passion”.
He said they leaked in 1998 but I remember hearing “Makaveli 2” was on the streets just months after the Makaveli album was released
Nah the bootlegs didnt hit until Jan 1998. After he died a tape of one nation songs leaked in really bad quality.. Set It Off, Brother in Arms, Military Minds, Tattoo Tears but that was before the bootlegs.
I remember going on vacation to Orlando FL with my family in I stopped in this CD store It had to b 98-99 the owner asked me who I was into? I told em, in he told me he had sum Unrealesed 2pac CDs!! I remember the first one I layed my eyes on was black with red lettering "Thug Immortal" Track 2 was " My closest roaddogz" in track 15 was "Pain" with Stretch. I remember hearing that for the first time, INSTANT CHILLS. Listen to the OG then the one on " Until The End of Time. Big Difference. Later my boy I was close too from the sandbox stole them CDs from my crib! So I stole his Bi**h. Me n her were together for 8 years too!) She ended up BN my roaddog. N No Lie swear to God she looked like a white Beyonce. A DIME PIECE. RIP too. Liven Fast Yeah, them the good old days in sum Wayz I guess? But still there's so much Pain.
Although I like the GH album like any other Pac fan, it’s a somewhat strange release to me in terms of some of the song selections.
Heartz Of Men and Picture Me Rollin were not hits at all, they were deep cuts from the AEOM album. As much as I love them, it never made sense to me why they were on the album. I felt like Pain (from Above The Rim) should have been on it. Holler If ya hear me and If My Homie Calls were also missing, and those were actually singles.
Another thing that bugs me a little is that for people new to PAC’s music this seems to be the album they go to. It’s still on the charts today! But I think to really get his full artistry it’s necessary to go through his full discography (minus posthumous albums).
Can you Speak about Tupac nationality and ethnic background along with where his grandparents are from. Where his Father is from and what his Ethnic/ nationality is?

Question: where are all 2pac song, because everybody said 2pac made 200 song a week or month where are all those songs and who got the rights to the 2pac masters
2Pac didn't record at that rate. That was exaggerated. There was like 200 songs all together when 2Pac died that wasn't officially released at that time. Of course, some songs were discovered over the years. The 2Pac Estate own the rights to the unreleased recordings. That was established back in 1997. The 2Pac Estate own the rights to the Interscope released albums along with posthumous stuff. So far, The 2Pac Estate own the digital rights to those Death Row released albums (All Eyez On Me & The 7 Day Theory). We shall see as far as the physical licensing rights because EOne Entertainment was the last to distribute those albums as you know Snoop owns Death Row Records including that back catalogue. I wouldn't be surprised if EOne ended being the ones to continue distributing that album on Death Row, once things are in placed for that.
Hey @@reggiewright , y'all might need to get me on camera and let me response to some of the Delray stuff is saying because he's not totally being factual and not giving much clarifying on some of that paperwork. For example, he's stating that David Kenner didn't product a contract for 2Pac regarding several deals and part of that was due to Kenner thinking it would be a conflict of interest had he did so when Suge was suppose to be 2Pac manager. Yet, I think that may also help explain why Suge told 2Pac to fire Kenner as his entertainment lawyer & to keep him as his legal attorney. Too much was being put on Kenner to do, which some of it he shouldn't be involved in along with the dipping in the cookie jar (stealing money). Let me know if I'm wrong regarding this. I think it's safe to say that Suge was slowly trying to get his business right along with those around him, starting off with his top artists (2Pac and Snoop) at the time. Salute
200 songs a week? Not even possible to do that in a month. Remember the guy also did a couple of movies in that time
@@goldenserenity2385 2Pac shot 2 movies during that time. 2Pac's work ethic was just as strong in 1993-94 as it was in 1995-96. Actually 2Pac's work ethic was taken to another level in 1995-96 in part because in part he had gotten back into his creative zone.
That’s a funny story
That Greatest Hits album was brilliant a lot of unreleased Pac tracks.
