hiii guys :) this is definitely one of my favorite projects I've made in a while so I hope you love it! let me know if you have any questions about the dress and I'd be more than happy to help
Can you make a quick tutorial on the tank top for the sentro? Thanks 😊
Hey I want to make this dress for a friend and kind of need a base to go off of for measurements. Just wondering how tall you are and how much you weigh so I can loosely compare. Thanks! No prob if it's too personal to share on the internet 😅
How long did this take you to make? :)
Listen, I have SCOURED the internet for a diy for this dress. I had that same green dress on my Pinterest board for what feels like forever. You are a god send for this tutorial 🥹
🫶 sameeee I decided I had to take matters into my own hands lmao
I just bought a pattern on Etsy for 10 dollars and I was so desperate to find a pattern like this that I bought the pattern in UK terms which idk 😭. I like this one better bc it’s halter too
Buona sera mi piacerebbe creare questo copricostume. Ho un po di difficoltà non conoscendo l'inglese. Con quante maglie si inizia . Iniziare dal fondo? Altri tutorial in inglese ho trovato i sottotitoli passo dopo passo . Mi potresti aiutare per capire meglio il tutorial. Grazie mille . Buona serata . Aspetto tua risposta sé puoi . God bless you, Anna Greene. God bless you.
This is an insane amount of effort, in both making the dress and meticulously explaining it to us!! Thank you so so much. You're gonna be my go to channel to learn now, SO glad to have found you on tiktok!! ❤
this is such a sweet comment, thank you so much for watching and supporting ❤️❤️
Love your video so much, you’re AMAZING 🥰 After 55 yrs of crocheting I learned a NEW way to start my work with out making that ‘skinny’ base chain all the way (makes it easier to NOT twist the pattern when starting e.g a dress) THANKS 🙏😘
You're the reason I crochet every night in bed now!! You've made learning so easy
stoppp you’re so sweet thank you 🫶🫶
Anna, this video singlehandedly got me back into crocheting after like a 2 year hiatus. The way you clarified every detail helped so much and Im so happy with the final product! Keep up the great vids :)))
aww yay I’m so glad!! thank you for your sweet comment 🫶
I do not crochet but I sat through this entire video and with how well you explained this project I felt like I could 🤣 I think your dress actually looks sooo much better than the brand's, I so commend you for figuring this pattern out!
Just finished this pattern, and thank you! This was so easy to follow and modify for body type. Can't wait to look at your other tutorials.
Thank you so much for posting these patterns for free🫡💓

❤️❤️❤️
Came out great ! Love it and can't wait to wear it on my trip
I love how you explain it to us. Very detailed and easy to follow. I am currently working on this one but instead of cotton i used acrylic yarn but small so I know it will take a while for me to finish. Wish me luck. I hope it turns out well 😊
im so happy i’m seeing this 4wks before my beach trip 😭 this video found its way to me in the algorithm after seeing your tiktok. thank you!!

You are so welcome!
Beautiful!! Can’t wait for the next vid!!
thank you :) working on one right now!
I just finished a short version of this dress! I started a few months ago but only got a few rows in before getting distracted by other projects but I’ve been sick these last few days and managed to finish the whole thing (it ended up about knee length) in three days. I made a few mistakes (and I don’t know how to feel about the color palate I chose) but I’m definitely planning to make this again
I just made this it was such a simple and easy to follow tut and turned out absolutely beautiful- if you are looking for a good tut for a beach dress use this one
can i ask, about how long did it take? i’m thinking of making a modified version of this as my graduation dress but ill only have a month. i crochet at a pretty decent pace but wondering how long its taken others?
Its soooo cute! I'm working on a top while following your tutorial for the flower motif, maybe this will be next omggg❤
thank youuu :)
Gorgeous!!😍
thank you!
THANK U- I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS PATTERN

i've just finished my dress, i used two different colors (off white and ocra) doing a pattern of 3 rounds each color and repeat for the skirt part, and 2 for the top part, i also lowered the back a little bit and made the skirt tighter on my bottom and upper thighs. it came out beautiful, thank you so much❤

I looked everywhere for a pattern for this exact dress thank youuuuu
Just finished this dress and it’s perfect, thank you so much for the tutorial 🤩🤩
🫶🫶 i’m so glad it was helpful
how many skeins did you use
My last decrease row on the waist was solid treble crochets, so the first row of the front panel was a mesh row.
I didn't have enough room to make a mesh decrease and land on the specific stitch (her 65rd) so instead, I made a decrease that landed on the stitch before that one. (her 64th)
It didn't cause any issues in my dress, hope this helps
On my way to make another one bc I love this pattern.
I loved it. I'll try to do it in my spare time. Thanks & God bless.
love your nailzzzz
thank youuuuu
HI I JUST FINISHED MAKING THIS DRESS AND I'M SO STOKED, IT'S MY FIRST LONG PROJECT AND IT TURNED OUT PERFECT!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY, THANK YOU FOR SHARINGGGGG
yayyy so happy it turned out well!!
how long did it take u? I wanna make it for my bday next sat I’m not sure if it’s too ambitious
@@xXMissAnimeLOVERXx 8 days, but i'm in grad school and work, so i tried to do it during down time and before bed, so i realistically probably could've finished it earlier. i hope you go for it though, it's builds up faster than you'd think!
i’m definitely gonna try thank u bby!!

SUPER BEAUTIFULL 😊GRACIAS❤
thanks so much for this tutorial anna!! it was pretty easy to follow & the dress absolutely slays - i made it in green (similar to the inspo) & i'm o b s e s s e d

Literally love this, i would make it but i dont know how to do add flare sleeves to it, i'd love if you could make a tutorial!
unfortunately sleeves wouldn’t really work with this construction since it’s a halter :(
Hi, can I make a slit in the dress, and so, how would you recommend doing it? Is there an easy way?
Love you for this tutorial
Thank you! The dress looks gorgeous! And i will definitely be making myself that for summer. I was just wandering how many balls of yarn you used from the bottom to a little above the knee? (approximately and if you remember). And you are really pretty by the way.
Hi! Very beautiful dress ☺️Thank you for the tutorial, I can't wait to do it! However, I have a question : is it possible to use 100% cotton 3 mm yarn ? It seems that you use 4 mm yarn. Do you think it'll be better with 4mm yarn or is it good with 3mm too? Thank you very much for your help
Hi Anna! Thank you so much for this video, this dress is gorgeous and exactly what I have been looking for! I’m having some trouble with the low back, when I get to the end of my second mesh row, I have 4 stitches left instead of 3 like you did when doing the low back decreases. I’m not sure what went wrong there, do you have any pointers that might help? Thanks!
This is great can you make with closed back, I would like to make this but no opening at back?
Aaauuuuu chiguaguuua!!!!!!❤😂😂😂😂😂
When decreasing the skirt how many rows did you do 2 decreases per row before you started to do 4 decreases per row?
slay 😊
Hope you can make the same but a racer back instead.. 🤞
Hey Anna, I was wondering if you could post a tutorial with this same design but in a top version?
hi! I’m having a hard time going back into the chain, where you described it as going into the v. I get it on the first one because you only have the chain to work with but the next few I’m having a hard time. also I’ve been trying and it mine seems a lot smaller while yours seems wider 😅
hey! do you mean the foundation treble crochet row?
@@anna-greene yes! I start off strong but once I go to add the third it just looks so different from what yours looks like 😭 do you have a video with a better explanation or close up??
I need to go get material do😅
how many day did it take you for doing this dress?
this has been on my to do list for so long thanks for you patience, english isn't my firt language but i undertood everything cuause you explained so well
this took about 3 days! but I was working almost non-stop each day so if you worked at a regular pace it would probably a week or so ❤️
hii i absolutely love this dress! trying to use yarn i already have and can’t find any dk weight but i do have weight 2 or 4 yarn, which would you say works better for this dress ? 💗
I think a lighter weight is best!!
I saw your videos in Instagram and loved your content, your work and I immediately come to watch your video on RUclips, I never had an experience on crochet but I really want to try especially with this dress. I would not care if it's not beautiful as yours so can I start my crochet story with this video or is it would be so hard for someone with no experience?
I wouldn’t recommend this for your very first project, maybe try something more simple like my mesh sleeves on my channel!
Are you able to make this still with 4mm yarn?
❤фантастичная как космический дождь
BESUTIFULL I LOVE U AND THANK U THANK U THANK U TO TEACH US😘GIANT KISS😊😘
I’m newish to crochet and still learning yarn… if I use medium (4) yarn is it going to be too heavy or drastically change the outcome? Any tips will help I have a lot of yarn I’d like to use before buying more!
you can use that yarn weight! you might want to use a bigger hook though. just make sure you’re going based off of your measurements and not my stitch numbers because yours might be larger even if you used the same stitch numbers as me since you’re using a thicker yarn
You're so beautiful btw
awww thank you!!
so excited to make this dress! thanks for the tutorial! Just to check, you said to use a DK weight yarn but the linked yarns are medium/aran weight.... will a medium weight work? thanks
hey! good question! the yarn I’m using is technically not DK but to me it feels much more like a DK weight yarn so that’s what I recommend for this project! but you could also definitely use a medium weight if you’d like, you’d just have to play around with the hook size and gauge
@@anna-greene thank you that’s great! I’ll go ahead with the DK yarn I have 😄
Would 6 decreases per row be too much?
How many days did you work on that
I want mine to have a bit of a fitted effect at the bottom so I need to increase the width as I go up toward my hips. Do you have any advice on how to increase? Should I just add 2 treble crochets in a couple of the stitches for my increase rows?
In case anyone else had the same question- I did what I said above and it turned out so cute! Thank you so much for the tutorial :)
This is so cute! I’m starting mine right now, but i have a question. When i finish the foundation chain, can i start counting from the first 5 and then keep counting across ? Will that be the accurate way to make sure it’s an even number?
First 5 chains**
Yes, you count the chains as the first treble crochet! then just count every treble crochet after the chains as well
Hopefully you see this question! Do you think a weight 2 linen yarn would work for this pattern?
I love this dress!! startes yesterday, but eveytime i reach the third row, its like its getting alot smaller and cant go over the butt anymore. How can i correct that mistake. i feel like i do it very loosely, but when i reach the slipstich it gets too tight to fit 🥲
is your actual number of stitches getting any smaller? compared to your very first row
I’m gettin on a 15 hour flight. I’ll try to finish today
ooo good luck!
Finished this morning! I had to add a chain in the back to connect the bra cups bc it was too loose but once I did that, i was snatched🥰
How much yarn did you end up using?
I need help with the top part, with the decrease at the end of the round. I never have two stitches to skip, i get 3
Very nicevery niiice❤😍🙃☺️😉
Hi Anna I have questions sometimes crocheter do flip the work after starting chain ( example starting chain 5 then flip , then DC the next stich) but in this pattern you didn't flip, instead work the next row. I wonder if I flip the work after finish the previous row, can the patterns still works too ?
you can do that if it’s easier for you! but there’s no need to, the seam will turn out fine using the way I show
@@anna-greene thank you Anna 🥰
hi hi !!! question is the .77 the general number to multiple by or do i come up with my own percent to multiply by ?
that should generally be good for any size!
@@anna-greene plz 🙌🏾 thank you !! i’m using this for my first attempt jumpsuit and this has helped a lot !!
Hi! I just did my second treble crochet row and I have SO MANY more chains that my first row. Originally I had 108 which fit around me nicely but now that I’ve done the mesh row and moved onto the second treble row, I have 141 stitches!! How did I mess up so bad? This is one of the first few things I’m trying to crochet so I have no idea
my guess is that you messed up on the mesh row, maybe you forgot to skip your next stitch after making the chain 1? this would make increases
sorry for the dumb question but is that white or cream yarn? I love the colour and can't tell if my screen is messing up my perception of it 😅
it’s an off-white color! I have the exact yarn/color I used linked in the description if you’re interested
Is there a way to add a thigh slit to this easily? I’m newer to crochet and wouldn’t know how to figure that myself quite yet
Hi! Yeah there is a way to do that. Instead of joining the ends at the bottom of the dress you would crochet rows as normal (turning your work every completed row) and then join when the dress reaches the height of the slit you want.
if i don’t want a mesh design, can i use single crochet or double crochet - would that work?
ofc it would, you would have to do 3 times the rows tho, and it would be slightly stiffer, especially if you use a stiff yarn
Hi! Can I also use microfiber (micro acrylic) yarn for this project? Thank you!
you could! the acrylic might be hotter than you’d like though
My foundation chain looks wonky no matter what I do or how many times I start over, would I still get the same result chaining my first row and treble stitching my second?
just chain the number you found was the right length for you (but do it nice and loosely) and then chain an additional 4 chains for your turning chain. then make your first treble crochet into the 5th chain from the hook and then a treble crochet into every other chain! if you’re having trouble with that just look up “how to treble crochet” on youtube and it’ll show you what I’m talking about!
@@anna-greene thank you so much!
Hi! Can i use the brand bernat cotton yarn?
yes! just make sure it’s a similar weight to mine
Hi, how many gramms did you use for this dress ?
Is it possible to do this dress doing double crochet instead of treble crochet?
you can, but you’ll have to play around with rows and how often you decrease because your rows will be shorter
Does anyone know how I could block the finished product without an ironing board ?
did you have your seam in the back of the dress?
Also is it only one decrease per row on the top? idk why I’m so confused would love if you could help!! 🫶🏼
how long did this take?
