THIS SHOW ABSOLUTELY WRECKED ME! At times I was mad at the two of them for not communicating, or in Connell's case being a dick. I'd even say it's a pretty toxic relationship at times. But throughout it all, no one could deny the chemistry between them. They brought out the best and the worst in one another. I like to think that in 5 years time they're finally in a place where they can be together (though please don't write a sequel or give a 2nd season, it's perfect the way it is).

I think this relationship taught them both something valuable, but different. It showed Marianne that she can be loved. And it showed Connell that he can love.

The reader in me doesn’t want a sequel to Normal People but the viewer in me who loves Daisy and Paul together wants a sequel 😭
It’s based on the book so the probably won’t be a sequel and I think that will work better but I want to see the actors on more

Sally Rooney wrote a short story called, "At the Clinic" about them. Still somewhat ambiguous but these two can't stay away from each other even after he's gone to NY. I think the key is in the last line. www.thewhitereview.org/fiction/at-the-clinic/
She wrote that before she wrote Normal People. I think after Normal People they would have a different relationship

The amount of episodes that ended in a way where I couldn’t tell if they were gonna be the last episode literally desensitized me to endings down when the last episode ACTUALLY ended I just sat there in shock like “no way it’s actually over?” definitely gonna read the book now

best cinematic couple for a very long time, I personally had a relationship like this, it never worked out in the long run, it takes a while to realize you both did good for each other, no bad feelings, this show hit home, such a fantastic series

I watched the first few episodes and decided I had to read and finish the book before finishing the series. I’m so glad I did. The way Daisy and Paul recreated these two from page to screen was so surreal and raw.... I don’t really cry while reading books, I teared up a little while reading this, but watching the series, especially the last 3-4 episodes... was so beautifully done and heartbreaking. These two really have done so much good for one another.
I adored this series and Marianne and Connell. Daisy and Paul were outstanding. I watched the whole series on my own.....I couldnt share it, not even with my Husband!! Thank you so much for this. In my top three best ever programmes, it might even be my first! x

You see Daisy, you should drop that utterly inept and amateurish Varey. The Daily Mail headline of 27 Jan 2021, says it all.
It reads: Paul Mescal insists 'there wasn't a huge amount of acting going on' in his realistic sex scenes with Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones because he 'liked her very much' The ‘chemistry wasn’t just superb acting, it was real! He continues: You know when you have "it",' of having chemistry with his scene partner. 'I knew when I was with Daisy that it felt natural, that there wasn't a huge amount of "acting" going on.
'Gushing about his co-star, Paul added: 'When you have that chemistry it makes it so much fun! Daisy and I liked each other very much' So that's probably the root of it: having a similar sense of humour, thinking about the world in a relatively similar way and being able to communicate all that.'

I think u can't tell who is more into another cause it's not the thing to compare, they're both into each other but they feel and express it differently
