I am autistic and have ADHD and anxiety and hearing her talk about it was like a freaking lightbulb going off in my head as to why I feel like I’ve been getting worse as the years go on and nothing seems to help. I’m 2 weeks into carnivore, which I started for reasons other than autism and hearing that it can help calm some of my anxiety and ADHD symptoms is fantastic news.
It’s also cool to find out why I love chewing gum so much.

I'm similar. I have Autism / Aspergers all my autism symptoms are basically gone or lessened except for some sensory issues. I feel amazing. I used to google search allergic to everything but meat before I found carnivore was a thing. Anytime I eat plants, I get brain fog and extreme ibs that lasts for days. I thing people with Autism or similar brain disorders are caused by being on plant based diet, and most people with similar mental disabilities are intolerant to all plants. I also know even just adding rice causes my psorasis and dandruff to come back and when I remove rice it goes away. Carnivore 8 months try adding back 1 type of food for a week and always fail to add it back for the entire week always causes me pain and skin issues.

@@TwinFlameDivineLovePath part of why carnivore helps my anxiety and ADHD is because of a gene mutation on the MTHFR enzyme that effects my ability to process and convert folate which contributes to so many systems. I ended up needing to go on an additional methylfolate supplement to make up for the deficiency as well. Another part of it is the keto diet helps treatment resistant mental illnesses just generally. When I can financially stick to it, I do great, published 2 books in a year, and working on a 3rd. Spent like a decade trying to finish just one book before that.

@@immune18 I live in India I grow up in hindu religion. In hinduism even eating egg is suposed to not be ok, you can't say certain prayers or mantras if you eat non veg, which includes egg😬
But with time I wondered what is the meaning of this and I feel maybe this was because thousands of years ago, when higienic conditions where not as now, eggs could be poisonous.
Milk is suposed to be the holiest food, but yet we know for many people is not healthy. But maybe by that time it was a very important thing for people's survival and that is why it was said to be a holy food.
Specially Hare Krishna, where my grandma belongs to, really condems eating anything outside the classical hindu diet, which is basically being vegan plus milk and dairy.
In some houses if they wanna cheat and eat an omelet but there is lets say an small altar to God in a room, they would go to another room to eat it, to not " ofend" that God😂😅
Anyway, thanks for your answer! I feel physicaly better since I take care of my protein intake, and I eat eggs daily + legums or cheese or things rich in protein.
My energy and my sleep in much better than before.
I still wonder thou why the ancient indian medicine recomends stuff which isn't really good for you, like some monks who fast on milk ( drinking just milk for a month) and stuff like that 🤔
This ancient indian medicine ayurveda, is very acurate in other things. I feel curious about why something so old is wrong in some things.

OMG we are the same age and I too went through early menopause in my early 30s. However I was eating Whole Foods based diet for many many years, for a good decade, with occasional treats. Looking back it was moderate/high carbs, lots of low-fat protein, loads of veggies. Was working out intensely with weights and running and even lost weight and got in incredible shape over those years. But my skin and hair was definitely struggling all that time. Skin was a bit inflamed with pimples and sometimes dry. My hair was always super dry and not growing. I thought I was doing the right thing eating clean cause my body looked like I was in the best shape. Looking back I struggled with brain fog not even knowing what that was. Then I got early menopause symptoms in my early 30’s, eventually going through actual menopause. I was baffled as I didn’t have a family history of this. And heart broken because I was just beginning to want children. I then immediately started gaining weight no matter what I did. The same way of eating and exercising no longer helped me to manage my weight. I am now 50. Never crossed my mind till now that my menopause may have been connected to my diet of medium to high carb grains, lots of veggies and salads, and seed oils and low fat chicken, steak and fish. When you think you’re doing the right things for your body for many many years and you’re actually doing harm, sux so bad 😩

Anyone who has spent much time around animals, save dogs, knows how bad they are to each other and would be to us if We didn't have our wits and tools. People can be cruel and kind. The default setting of animals is cruelty, except for perhaps, dogs because we selected that trait out of them early. Our best friend is a sweet, caring, carnivorous murdering machine. Who'd a thunk it?

      1) Not all vegans hate humans. 2) I challenge you to find a population that lives longer than the California Adventists, Okanagins or people in Sardinia Italy. These 3 groups of people all live the longest with the Adventists being the longest. The thing that they have in common is lots of vegetables, starches and very low amounts of animal products. No population that eats large amounts of animal products ie. (25-30% of calories) will be living as long as these populations without massive medical assistance. It is just not possible. If you find a large group such as the ones referenced above please feel free to share it with me as it becomes very clear that the more animal products you eat the shorter you live. My guess is that your Carnivore diet might shorten your life by like 15 years.

Meats and animal fats are the most nutrient-dense foods of the essential nutrients, and they regenerate soils when moved rotationally. A great start is looking up Weston A Price.

@@aquavitae3824 People in Hong Kong did not start eating meat at a high rate until the last generation. These people also have seen a large increase in disease rates in the last few years and are seeing a decline in their overall standard of health. Please watch the video that I have linked. The truth there are countless things about the human body that are not adapted to eating meat. Not a single carnivore needs tools to eat its prey. A wolf for example is fast enough, has the right claws and has the right jaws and stomach acids etc to eat the animal right there. Humans are not capable of eating animals such as deer, pigs, cows, foxes, or other small animals. We need to use tools since were not fast enough, use a spear since we do not have the correct weapons naturally, then we need to skin the animals or cut them open since our jaws are not strong enough, and then we need to cook them since our stomach acids are not strong enough to deal with the bacteria that the raw meat has. There are 9 million other species on this plant. No other species needs to cook its food to be able to eat it. In nature, you are supposed to eat what you are designed to eat. There are many more examples I could say but please do yourself a favor and watch the video in my original comment. Wish you the best of luck.

How interesting - I just read this little excerpt that made me kinda think in one of my nutrition courses today and it relates to what she was talking about around 23:10 so I thought I'd share :) : "Stress activates the sympathetic branch of our ANS. You can purposefully activate your parasympathetic nervous system using several techniques: Movement - running (which tells your body you're ok and you're escaping), boxing or MMA (which tells your body you're able to fight), trembling or shaking (which is part of our natural trauma release system and discharges stress from the body), and tumbling or rolling (which temporarily distorts us, acting as a nervous system reset)" There's more, but I really enjoyed the image of someone starting to get anxious and tumbling to reset, but hey! If it works, that's awesome. Makes sports like martial arts and jujutsu seem like a really good option for some people.

I adore you and Dr. Rimka. You have helped me so much in the last few months of my meat journey. I was vegetarian/vegan from age 10 - 25. I decided to eat my "first meat" when I was going on a trip to Paris at age 25, and I just wanted to enjoy everything that Paris had to offer. My first meat was chicken mc nuggets from Mc D. I was so worried I would feel sick so I tried something that even toddlers eat. And OMG I never had stomach side effects and my brain woke up. Then in paris I ate a ton of ham (bc it didn't really seem like meat) and cheese and when I got back from my trip I decided that I would try eating chicken breast. It has been a really really slow transition for me. I am 51 and now crave beef every day. I do eat crackers and granola bars bc they are in my home, as Im a mom. But that is mostly bc I like the crunch I have no carb cravings. I even have to force myself to eat ice cream with my daughter bc I just want her to see me model normal eating habits, but I don't even want sweets. I am getting more Carnivore every day. Once I stopped forcing myself to eat huge salads and tons of veg I stopped having stomach aches and feeling stuffed yet hungry at the same time. Not feeling hungry with no bloating has been life changing. The only veg I really eat now is some kimchi and blueberries which don't bother me. It's true that once you start eating meat and giving your body and brain what it needs, you will crave that when you are hungry. I have total food freedom, I literally can eat whatever I want. When I am hungry I want meat so bad, but when I am not hungry I literally never think of food.

Awesome story! Thanks for sharing. I agree with another comment, no need to eat ice cream to be normal for your child. Instead you could model that you follow your appetite, respond to your body's cues and if that doesn't ever or rarely leads you to junk food like ice cream, so be it. You can explain why your diet helps your body to want high quality foods now. Anyways, you rock and congratulations on your health!! ❤

She hit the nail on the head with the gut connection to the emotional resistance to meat with the stomach acidity. There is also the spiritual component at play, and being more susceptible to false spiritual beliefs that are ungrounded when you are on a plant based diet feeling flighty all the time. Those symptoms you think are because of ascension are likely because you are malnourished!

I think extreme diets eventually even if it's one year to 14 years later people are seeing health issues. What the doctor said her mother fed her was a balance of meat veggie starches fruits; foods that come from whole foods ;not all the franken process chemical man-made foods we have now is really the key. I think an elimination diet and then slowly adding back in different foods one at a time to see how we react would be helpful. But I've also been on the roller coaster of being a vegan, keto, carnivore and now back to a balanced diet of including everything and I feel fantastic. I'm not against people being all vegan or just all carnivore. But we're now seeing even hardcore carnivore advocates such as Paul Saladino who wrote the book carnivore code and now couple years later he's adding fruit and honey. Even on the vegan diet we see people suffer because they're missing nutrients from meat/animal products. I think we need to start rethinking our thoughts on food and just eat real food from various different sources to get all the nutrients that we need for our individual self. This extreme going one way or the other is not helping anyone.

    • @djmingia0981
      @djmingia0981 2 года назад +2

Paul Saladino is a very poor example of why extreme carnivore can be a problem. It's been brought up numerous times by long term carnivores (5-20yrs) who are the picture of health of different reasons why he failed and struggled. Nothing wrong with a mixed diet with no processed foods as that's still better than the SAD diet. But it's incorrect to say some extremes like Hyper Carnivore isn't good or the correct way to go.

Carnivore 8 months try adding back 1 type of food for a week and always fail to add it back for the entire week always causes me pain and skin issues
