Everyone is saying to use the blue arm but nobody is telling you the real advice. You can set separate keybinds for the red and blue arms at the bottom of the keybinds menu. Just make sure to unbind swap and "punch". Swap becomes unnecessary and "punch" is just "melee with the last used fist", which also becomes unnecessary.
BRO WHAT??? Ive gone through p-ranking the game on violent (im not nearly good enough for brutal yet), and ive dome everything up to herasy, and i never knew this tech!!!
I am here to tell you bro. I am on the edge of my seat for your content. you are ENTERTAINING AND FUNNY. something a ton of youtubers lack nowadays. and you are also selling to me how humble you are? HELL YEAH, THIS CONTENT ROCKS!
Hey man thank you so much you don’t know what this means to me I’ve been super busy starting collage and I do wanna make more videos but it might take more time then usual the fact that I could make something you enjoy makes me so happy and motivated to keep going
@@ornidsage2483 that's what I like to hear! I am currently a senior in high school. So I can sorta kind of understand how busy you really are. My sister is in college and studies 7 HOURS a day in the library. Take your time.
I know other people are gonna tell you to use the blue arm to parry stuff and all that, but one of the things you can parry are the giant punches from The Corpse of King Minos. Its fun
I love that you made the fight of corpse minos so much harder than it needed to be without your arms or rail gun lmao Parry = less damage = more health BUT IT ALSO heals you to your current max health on every parry, the max health being either 100 or to your current hard damage limit taking damage = less max health until the gray bar goes away So, put them bad boys back on and go to key binds if you want to set them up for different separate keys, it's extremely helpful, makes your head hurt a lot less while trying to learn to use your arms always remember, if there's a yellow flash there's something to be parried, if it's a projectile, it can be parried, so parry. everything. and I do mean everything :) unlikely literally every comment section under a beginner's ultrakill video I'm not going to outright tell you the cool stuff, it's more rewarding to learn it for yourself and have your brain explode once you do lol
Biggest tip I can give to any new player is to read. Read the tips that pop on screen cos they will give you the perfect opportunity to practise them Read info on your weapons because they tell you how to use them more efficiently Read about your enemies because they explain what their weaknesses are Reading in this game is so important for first playthroughs
You got a lot going for ya in doing this, but a little sidenote: this game has a lot of stuff it doesn't directly mention (like how the feedbacker isn't just for parrying projectiles) and my recommendation for people who wanna experiment or simply mess around is to try out the sandbox
as somebody who also just got ultrakill in 2024, this makes me feel like a dumbass I don't even know how to use the coin thing, like I literally don't know where it is in the first level, whatever, to me, this is really good, good job you are a lot better than me :)
Heres some advice (if you dont know this), I wont say any spoilers, but when you need to get somewhere quickly use your slide, not your dash, slide is free and still gets you around and dash can be mostly used for dash-jumps and using its invincibility frames to outright avoid an attack. Also some weapons have specific interactions with others, the game doesnt tell you this, but as someone else pointed out, try messing around with the sandbox
Some game techniques ahead, I tried to divide it a bit but im annoyed from how it gets mish mashed because of how text on this commenting system works, read & do/try to do only if you care about people complaining that you're not doing this and that blah blah cuz its up to you how you enjoy the game :D, so either say you wanna learn things by yourself or say you wanna play "efficiently" or wtv people will call it, I mean I like to learn from discoveries of other people so I like knowing some stuff beforehand, makes me wanna experiment and think about how I could twist and combine some playstyles/techniques, but maybe you dont wanna know all the shit we consider basic at this point lol, in that case just dont read comments much but if you wanna learn stuff then I wrote some stuff I like to use in some situations, enjoy either way you decide to utilize (or choose to ignore) this info :D - blue arm lets you parry anything that doesnt have a blue flash (like the flamethrower guy's attack can't be parried and it has a blue flash to indicate that) + you should bind each arm to a different button, red arm kills most weaker enemies in one shot and kills the green dudes (called filth) with just the shotgun shell blast, making it an easy way to heal and kill many of those lil guys in an instant - you can parry your own shotgun primary fire's pellets (making them into an explosive projectile with no falloff), its a bug made into a feature lol - green shotgun's max charge explosion can be avoided if you just dash right as you shoot it out - also try the cybergrind you can farm points quite easily if you want more, stronger versions of weapons, combining weapons is also a great idea, like if you shoot the shotgun's grenade with a hitscan weapon (any revolver or blue/red railcannon) it'll explode and do way more damage than normally (red railcannon makes the best explosion tho) - if you're sliding down a wall at any point, and you press ctrl and bounce off of the wall right after you press ctrl and then jump or slidejump to gain height or speed, at first it was a bug but the developer liked it so much that its now a feature (press ctrl and space almost at the same time)
Before you comment about how this guy unequiped his arms just remember that everyone plays in their own way (though he does miss out on punching coins)

dude you unequipped both your arms at the minos fight wth 😭
try using the blue arm more, it lets you parry lots of things in the game :D
Parrying a fist is still so cool even after doing it so much
I love that you made the fight of corpse minos so much harder than it needed to be without your arms or rail gun lmao
Parry = less damage = more health BUT IT ALSO heals you to your current max health on every parry, the max health being either 100 or to your current hard damage limit
taking damage = less max health until the gray bar goes away

Unequipped the feedbacker. I cant believe this guy.
0:18 seconds of video and I already like this content creator

use feedbacker (blue arm) more to parry stuff
it is fun

Hey there is a learning curve for everything! Keep at it and I’m sure we will both become pros!

Also btw this is one of the funniest first ultrakill playthroughs I’ve seen
Just got done recording the second vid and did some of the parries n’shit. Thanks for shielding me from the blue arm enjoyers!😂
Awe thank you so much pookie I’m glad you enjoyed it im working hard on pt2 rn 😤😤😤
Time to go through Hell with our two best buddies: Smith & Wesson.
not sure if you figured this out, but you can punch your shotgun bullets, and your coins.
I don’t have any idea of how to shoot the shells
4:46 you sound like soos from gravity falls
😂 I’m just now catching that!
4:33 a person who thinks all the time
does he knows that he can parry the punch?
I do now 😂 it’s literally ⬆️⬇️
he had the blue arm unequipped so he couldnt parry anything
I think this is 7th vid i watch, someone play ultrakill for the first time, and almost all had the same editing 😂
Have you tried splooging out all your coins and just letting one chain the others and do all the work, very satisfying, would recommend.
I will try that I’m assuming it’s awesome 😎
Bro was NOT parrying anything
hehe
