Damn, that was some rustic, manly cooking. :D Hand straight in the pan, man-handling those onions onto the meat. :D I like to imagine that your desert was eating those two onions raw with the skin still on. No muckin' about.

this thing is £80 and includes a cast iron pan and chopping board, I've seen fire boxes for the same price with nothing extra, bargain - ordered one, can't wait for it to arrive

Bit of a steep price but you are right that you get a lot with that and for me the USP is how compact it is. Ideal for biking/light packing campers.

Putting bag on greasy pan not ideal if you dont wash it put board on top and if this was 2nd time used it look brilliantly clean with no tarnish
