I always wonder how you did come up with all these interesting things. Wonderful gentlemen and wonderful show! This combination is a rarity these days. I'm glad I came across this show recently. Warm regards to Deane and Rob from a Syrian!
due to some appointments, i had a similar feeling like back as a child; but instead "i have to be home at ...o'clock to not miss the curiosity show", this time it was "damn hopefully the day is over fast, so i can watch that curiosity show-episode... thanks rob & dean! this brought back a good amount of memorys! :-)
These are excellent productions of a bygone era, where you could engage audiences with wholesome episodes like this. These shows never lost their value,.. but a lot of humanity unfortunately did. 🤷♀️
True, but I'm not sure if there are enough complete episodes available. A lot of the master tapes were wiped, especially early ones, because video tape was expensive and TV stations kept reusing the tapes as a cost-cutting measure. Unless Rob or Deane happen to stumble across someone with a home-taped archive of all the missing Curiosity Show, and assuming the quality of said archive isn't terrible, it could be difficult to set up a Bob Ross style Twitch stream.
@@TheKnobCalledTone. exactly, even the DVD box set that you can buy from the Curiosity Show website contains only around 300 minutes of footage Obviously that's a good amount of fun, but by no means enough to loop every day for a livestream marathon

If I had a time machine, I wouldn't go back to 2009 and buy bitcoin... I'd go back to the '70s with a mid-'00s DVR (because analogue tuner) and record as many full episodes of Curiosity Show (and Countdown) as possible lol
Out of ...Curiousity.. did you guys ever enjoy celebrity status ( however minor, don't be humble 😄) during the broadcasting run of this show? And were either of you cast in anything before or after?
Depends what you mean. In the 70s, anything or anyone on TV was 'special' as there were no home videos, cameras etc - the only way to be on a video screen was via Tv stations. We won our share of awards as well. I had done some acting and work on the ABC (public broadcaster) before, went on the be Channel 10 News science specialist and finished as Producer for Nexus on Australia's TV network for the Asia Pacific region. - Rob
G'day Rob & Deane, Thanks for another Full Episode 🥰 6:33 Rob I'm just wondering if you ended up taking your Fretting Mate to the Dentist to get his Saw Teeth Fixed 😂
What a lovely little show, wish I had something like this when I was a kid. Lord knows I wouldn't be allowed to have any of those tools, but I know I'd still have fun with the show!
I've read that Curiosity Show was not broadcast in the US, is that true? Or was it available recorded somehow? The reason is I would swear I've watched it as a kid in the late 70's in Utah, USA. What I remember is an episode that featured money - being American, the money I was used to seeing looked different than what I saw on the show. When I see these episodes, it kind of stirs up those memories, but it might be a "Mandela effect" if the show was never on in the US.
No, we were not broadcast there, but there may have been a pirated episode or two as after we won the Prix Jeunesse, there were some attempts to copy Curiosity Show but I don't think they lasted very long - Rob
Oh m8 i wish i was young again..and in Australia to have this as a memory...im from the u.s. and we had mr.wizard..but i think this show is much better . Anyone else remember that?
Rob and Deane could possibly re-record these episodes and it would still be relevant in 2022 & beyond, it would still apply to the same age group as much as it was when I was a kid. Just more tv medium to use these days.
Id love a full repo of all the episodes in tact and full length. The little ones love this but I hate the 3-5min clips. Too short and encourages this attention span stuff like TikTok et al.

That was such a great show. I wish today what something like this be around.
4:20 to 5:30 - By far the best music you've written yet guys. awesome.
I love these shows.. Aussie Ernie and Bert go to School.
Forgot the magic stick, you guys just invented a time machine that transported me back to Year 4 😁
I got a magic stick i found it around the age of 13 or so..it was really fun until it started making babies with the craziest women imaginable.
what a nostalgic video
Having enjoyed this show as a kid in Adelaide, it’s so comforting to watch it as an adult. Thanks Rob and Deane!
our pleasure - Rob
Makes me wish I would of grown up when this show was on tv and everything was different and less hectic and crammed
Mid-late 80's was kind of magical and I choose to believe it's not just because nostalgia.
It was a brilliant time. Maybe future adults will nostalgically reminisce about tiktok.

Wait, at 5:46 you have a "what is it" puzzle that used an image you showed before the break... Was this always the case?
With the cup trick at the end, I thought it was because the cup was being turned slightly yellow from the disc…
same, I couldn't see any hair, even after he pointed at it

But only for good!
Yeah!
Another full episode of CuriousityShow and one featuring my second favorite of Rob's shirts, this time that brown striped one ❤
I always wished with my eyes shut so I can more strongly visualize what I wanted
The FIRST STEAM show for sure.
Nice work...👍👍👍
People thought those scewed screens were so cool back in those days like look we can do we can skew it🤣🤣🤣 curiosity🎶
Don't forget the 'star wipe', also super rad

Dont mind me just vibin to the intro song of Curiosity Show
No gloves, no goggles, no apron, at that table saw. It makes me a little nervous.
Try it on your friends.

James Hetfield got his mid 90's Metallica look from Rob
How did these people ever survive without all the safety equipment just to cut a piece of wood oh my god 😂

A cheap scroll saw--very nice.
