The original far cry was like that, in fact the original idea was to make it about dinosaurs, the tech demo was called x isle and was about dinosaurs.
The dev behind Ferocious cited the original Far Cry and Crysis as main inspirations for his new game.
Neither were bloated open world time wasters like every Far Cry post 3.
THIS game is at the very top of my "Games I'm most insanely hyped about" list! And "No dying of hunger or thirst" just guaranteed my money will be had by this developer on release!!

Wish there was a demo. Hoping Compound Fracture isn't dead either.

This could take massive inspiration from King Kong 2005s' scenes to add in the game as easter eggs or details in the missions
this showcase already has dark and gritty enough graphics, not to mention dinoaur sounds...

I been wanting this game for years -I hope it comes out for Consoles. I'm starting to get sick of all these awesome games on Comp never making it to consoles. I'm legit about to sell my consoles and just go all in making a great ass gaming computer.
Trepang 2 came to consoles, even got a physical copy on them.
Son And Bone is a PS5 exclusive.
Ferocious will likely get a console port too if it does well.

This game looks insanely awesome. It’s just like the Far Cry games that I love.
Particularly Far Cry’s 2 and 4 where enemies didn’t have health bars and weren’t bullet sponges.
This is looking more and more promising. Cannot wait for it.

Yeah, I'm tired of DOG elements ruining FPS games. Wolfenstein Youngblood pulled that crap too and it was awful compared to Wolfenstein The New Order and The Old Blood.

I don’t blame you for not finishing FC6 at all. Yes I’ve played FC6 and a FC instalment I would not return to it cause in my book was pretty dam mediocre.
I disliked FC New Dawn that instalment was a huge let down. The white, blue, purple and gold tier weapons was a stupid idea to begin with that the game forces you to keep upgrading your weapons rather like the old FCs you can play from start to finish with the starter weapons.
On a positive note I’m glad that the developers making Ferocious are giving us a game like the good old FCs.

Crysis: Dinoland? Looks nice, but only as a tech engine showcase from this video in its current form. I love how the crab is eating the random stuff. If they eat the corpses and the degrade, it would be a nice visual effect. I am looking forward for more information, thanks for the video!

Really Tiny Build? They have many wonderful indie games but this one is theyre biggest project almost like AA video game. While capcom doesnt do anything with Dino Crysis and it makes me mad at least some studios do something.
IDK WTF Capcom is doing, but they need to get the ball rolling on a new Dino Crisis game already its been way to long.
They need to do the following 1 remaster dino crisis 1/2 heck I'll even allow that thing of a 3rd one for preservation. and finally 2 thing to do remake it or make a dino 4

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem fun at all. I’m glad it’s different tho! We need more content like this, but I wish it showed some really fun gameplay tho.

Not open world, stiff animations. I like the concept though. Crysis x Turok. Rock climbing would be neat. Looks a bit too empty. I get it's an island but there needs to be more to look and interact with. Why not add a fauna/herb crafting ability? Maybe weapon building from scraps too.

Would be cooler if they made it open world like the dinos escaped the island and they wind up in like some city and you are the only person who can stop them, but then you fine out there are more people like you who can team up and stop the dinos too.
I wished I knew how to do games, I been having this really awesome Kaiju story in my head for longest. I might just make it as a story idea.
@mentaltelepathy24 I mean that's just The Lost World but yeah that would be cool too :P This is lacking anything to make it stand out other than the dinos. Hopefully they flesh out the survival aspect and increase the variety and size of creatures. I want to see a game like this where there's a whole ecosystem.
It's started out as a solo dev initially for 5yr then only recently got some funding last year for a small min team so cut it some slack

Well, the island is not mysterious because you know where you are. You are in the Japanese sea. What is mysterious is how did the character end up in that island, who is his daddy and what does he do?
It would be a small disappointment if you can't jump on the big insects and ride them for a bit.
