I've been trying to do this on my Vyper and the firmware never changes to .cur, doesn't seem like it flashes the printers firmware

Its because the steps he did to build the firmware are for a compeltely different board, not the stock boards for the vyper or Kobra max. Go look elsewhere for the correct firmware and install methods for klipper on your kobra max

This instructions are for a completely different motherboard which he replaced in a previous video. It really has nothing to do with the kobra max. Really he's only using the frame at this point. I have done klipper on the stock motherboard (Trigorilla_pro_A_v1.0.4) and yes you did need to do the solder change (move R65 to R66).

It's the waste of money to buy the raspberry-pi, when you can do just a little modification to the motherboard and install klipper right on why add more things to fail on the the printer
Most people are not confident doing that modification

mate you need to change the title to this. This is not the correct Firmware build for a Kobra max stock motherboard. People are going to come to this link and follow it assuming it will work when it wont.
Put the name of the actual motherboard in the title at least, its barely a Kobra max at this point.
