The Electric Prunes - Mass In F Minor - A Holy Grail? Album Review

A concept album founded on the Catholic Mass? With orchestration and Gregorian chanting in Latin and Greek? Featured in the movie, 'Easy Rider', is Mass In F Minor a psychedelic classic or just an amusing curio?
In 1968, The Electric Prunes and David Axelrod joined forces (or butted heads!) to produce Mass In F Minor. It was a holy grail for me and, when I picked up a copy in 1986 (not '84 as I say in the video), it delivered everything I expected... and more. But what does it sound like all these years later? I take a deep dive and the results are surprising!
