Remember that new Honda hybrids does not have gearbox at all. Electric motor is connected to the wheels at lower speeds and only one fixed gear for the highway. Honda is a series hybrid, totally different than Toyota which is parallel hybrid.
I've been trawling the web for 4 weeks for an audio review, well done for making it, can't wait, it's the primary reason I've ordered the Advance Style.
I drove a 2022 Honda HR-V hybrid for my road trip from San Francisco to Yellowstone National Park. I drove over 2100 miles and I average 32MPG for my trip. What I like: camping mode works like wonder when I sleep in it in camping ground when temperature was around 30 degree. It was comfortable to sleep inside while the engine is keeping the temperature around 75 degree. Well equipment with technology: lane centering, blind spot monitor, power seat for both driver and passenger seats, moon roof, Adaptive Cruise Control. What I don’t like: 32MPG is low for a hybrid vehicle. Lane centering is not reliable. Seat is very uncomfortable. It is the worst seat I have tried ever.
This car looks really good to me inside out, I do prefer the Toyota hybrid technology though, it feels like full ev and only needs a bit of petrol. Engine noise is minimal and often non existent unless you mashed up full power, often you find the car travel at low rpm on motorways since the e motors help the car. 👍
Great looking car and drives very nicely. Just drove this and a Mazda MX-30 Hybrid and the Honda is much better. It is more refined and has a better drive train, don't feel the petrol engine kick in. The Mazda is very choppy when the petrol engine kicks in (and that's most of the time). Mazda is style of substance. Honda is also a great deal cheaper to run and maintain.
The one I test drove, averaged 36.9 mpg. Sales guy quoted mid 40's max. The engine is lackluster and revs life a Ferrari when pushed. I get it - gov's drive to lower engine emissions. But then I don't - mpg's are no better than Petrol equivs and introduce more complexity. Right now, there is no perfect solution to purchasing a car whether: diesel, petrol, HEV, PHEV or full EV. What a mess.
@@milan4ever YES Brilliant little SUV its doing 4L/100km I wouldn't use it for long high speed driving but around where we live its great. Honda quality as you'd expect, the Atkins cycle engine is a bit noisy but that's how they all are, Excellent car.

Correction, the HR-V doesn't have a CVT transmission; it operates on a single-speed direct drive system, coined as 'e-CVT'. Sorry!

This is the HRV I want in the US. Instead they made a larger HRV with worse fuel efficiency. 55 mpg with AWD would be top of the class in the US.
Thanks for sharing! Which model do you guys have then?
I own this car an i drive alot to and from work an i fill the tank once every 3 weeks
What`s towing weight
I really like the design.. Hopefully more headroom in the back than the previous model.
