I don't know if it's ever been confirmed; but the running theory is that each Ring of Hell has its own subspecies -- Wrath is Imps, Greed is Loansharks, Lust is Succubi/Incubi, etc. and so people think that Hellhounds are "native" to the Gluttony ring, which is why Beelzebub takes on an appearance similar to one. She's definitely, thus far, the Sin most in-touch with the Hellborn species.
well, according to dante's inferno cerberus was referred to as "the guardian of gluttony", so hellhounds being native to the gluttony ring makes a lot of sense.
15:09 Nailed it, yes! She’s the ruler of the Gluttony Ring much like how Asmodeus rules Lust. Each ring has one like them, such as Mammon in Greed, Leviathan in Envy, Satan in Wrath, Belphegor (the girl with the party drugs Bee mentioned) in Sloth, and of course Lucifer himself in Pride.
It seems like Lucifer is the only one we've seen that really doesn't interact with his own ring of hell much, which surprisingly fits with the sin of Pride; we know he's depressed, but he also thinks he's better than all the Sinners in his ring, and that leads him to stay in his mansion and just work on his own projects. He might have been somewhat more involved when Lilith was still around, but it sounds like she also took a very active hand in things herself. I wouldn't be surprised if Lucifer more or less just lent her his power and authority, and maintained his terrifying reputation mostly through her actions, since he really doesn't seem to want to interact much with anyone else in Hell yet everyone is still terrified of him.
Fun fact last episode when we saw Blitz holding Loonas adoption papers. It showed that Loonas adoption papers were signed by Beelzebub. You can go back and check. You will see it when Blitz is scrolling through his phone.
That's Belphegor's signature, not Beelzebub's. The "e" is actually a cursive "L". Although it sounds like Bee and Bel know each other pretty well from this episode.
while it got a lot of hate originally, with people claiming that it didn't depict the sin of gluttony properly, bee's design is actually pretty interesting. for one, despite the name, there are hints to her being based on a fly, rather than a bee, as is appropriate for the lord of flies. her wings are much more fly like than bee like, with her only having two wings, instead of a bee's four wings, hinting at the fact that she's more based around a fly mimicking the appearances of a bee, like a hoverfly for example. also, instead of making her super skinny or super fat, her stomach is a lava lamp, so she can never get full, since her stomach instantly burns any food she eats, keeping her eternally hungry for more. lastly, why she isn't focused on the classical interpretation of gluttony, with it solely being based around eating a lot, bee represents a more general concept of gluttony, embodying a gluttonous desire for parties, drugs and feeling good. it's a very creative take on the concept, and i honestly prefer this over a super cliché design of yet another super skinny/super fat dude surrounded by flies most people seem to have wanted.
Gluttony is a French word and the French language has only existed for about 1,200 years. The Eight Evil Thoughts, the precursor to the Seven Deadly Sins, has been around since the 4th century. So the modern meaning of gluttony being overindulgence of food is not what it means in a biblical sense. It's really the belief that you can nourish your soul with the things you want rather than the things you need, which is pretty much outright stated in the song Cotton Candy. The embodiment of Gluttony proclaiming to be "what you want, not what you need." Gotta love the esoteric nuance dropped in a Ke$ha pop song, lol.
I'm really glad Bee ended up not being a villain despite all the ominous foreshadowing in her opening number. Partially because she's a totally baddie and also because I absolutely love her vibe. She's 100% my ADHD queen and I don't know how I'd live without knowing she exists lol
I also really like that despite being one of the Sins and the host for these rowdy, loud, drug-fueled parties she's just genuinely trying to make sure everyone has a good time. She takes her loss against Blitzø with grace, checks up on everyone to see how they're doing. Despite the fact that she's throwing ragers in HELL she's actually a pretty positive influence.
@@FillmGeekOfDoom what do you think the legal issues with the episode were? Ke$ha had problems with her producer, and due to all that going on she legally couldn't sing. She co-wrote the song but didnt perform it, just look at the episode's credits.
Yea not many 3 header fire roosters. Though Ozzie has family he's part of the Aries Goetia, however his status as one of the Sins means he outranks the Goetia King Paimon. Paimon is Stolas' father meaning Ozzie is like his cousin.
@@johannbezuidenhout2976 Yes, in their source material. It's however unclear if it's the case with the Sins in Hazbin, since Vivzie already deviated from the source material(s) and is simply using the ideas in her own way. Ozzie also remarks in Episode 2x07 that the Sins have known each other "since the start of Hell" and not before that, which so far implies that they didn't exist before Hell was created.
@@TheCursedCat1927 In the Opening of The Hazbin Hotel Series, Charly retells the Story of how Lucifer and Lilith ended up in Hell, and she says that with the Act of Defiance, where Eve ate the Apple Lucifer gave her, Evil found it's way into the world and The Dark pit of Hell was created. So maybe that is the Moment where the Embodiments of the Sins were also created.
@@johannbezuidenhout2976 not all of them, mammon was human at sum point and Satan is different depending on what version if the myth you wish to use. Personally I like the version where Satan goes by the name Azasel in his angelic form until the human who he falls in love with is killed by heaven then he goes by Satan shortly after he is found out.
By the way, satan and Lucifer in this universe are two different people, Lucifer being from the pride which is where hazbin takes place and satan from wrath, where the episode with striker took place, and btw if your curious about the scenery, you can tell where the characters are by the color of the sky! Pride Ring- Red (Hazbin Hotel) Wrath- Orange (Striker episode) Gluttony- Yellow (current episode) Greed- Green (Loo Loo Land episode) Lust- Blue ( Ozzy Episode) Envy- Purple Sloth- Pink
I feel like none of those colors go with the sin they represent. I've always saw pride = purple, wrath = red, gluttony = orange, greed = yellow, lust = pink, envy = green and sloth = blue. I believe those are the correct colors for the sins. Did Viv change the colors for her own story or is she following a different version than what I'm used to?
@@2amCryptid For now it seems like her personal choice. In Hazbin episode 1x05, when we see Lucifer's workshop, there is a statue representing the Rings and that's the colours they were given.
@@2amCryptidThats because purple is associated with royalty. But they created Hazbin first, so having Hell be Red was the obvious choice. Later when creating Helluva, they decided to expand to the 7 rings (Hazbin pilot even mention the 9 layers instead). So they had to stick with red for Pride.
The name "Satan" means "adversary", and it was used to call any general demon or person who didn't believe in God's plan. The person whom we associate as the sin of Wrath is a fallen bull Cherub who's name we don't know, and was just called "Satan" until it eventually became his name. Lucifer is a different angel, he was a beloved Seraph angel who was casted down for his pride. He too was called a Satan, but Lucifer is his actual name. Even up till now people get them mixed up
@@Kadukunahaluu Yes and in the Show the name "Satan" is just his actual name. Lucifer is more "The Devil" while Satan is the one in charge of the Imps (which are native to his Wrath Ring).
Bee mentions she tastes energy and can taste mood implying she is an emoution vore. Likely feeding on positive emoution like a bee does on nectar and makes it into Beezeljuice. Wouldn't supprise me if the whole building is actually where Beelzejuice comes from, there is a huge reservoir under the building that Bee dove into and pulled from during her song. The performance, the party, kerping her guests happy, its about making Beezeljuice at the base level. Constantly doing that as her primary job. Feeling the emoutions of others, promoting positive ones to ensure product quality, beeing just around her "People" all the time its rubbed off on her, shaped her views and personality. Making her happy, carefree but also empathetic, and wanting others to feel good not just at her party where she directly benefits, but in general.
I really love Bee, as she shows just how much she cares in this episode. First off, during her song, she looks to be very pressuring, which is fair, because she's the Sin of Gluttony. Of course she would make food bigger and shove it down drinks down their throats, but she only does that because those are regulars at her parties, and she knows what they want. We see that when she's talking to Loona. She doesn't make her cup bigger, and only nudges it closer to her, she doesn't force it. We see her visible concern over Blitz during the contest, and immediately after as he's falling, but as soon as he's caught, her face returns to a happy one for the crowd. After he's carted away as a champion, she reveals another face of concern to Tex.
You have no idea how glad I am that you understand that Bee was not encouraging moderation with Blitz (yes I have seen people genuinely believe that) but trying to deal with him drinking to forget on the dance floor instead of drinking to drink.
I'm suprised that that scene gets interpreted as Bee encouraging moderation since the only concern she brought up was that he was driking for bad reasons (and how she could tell because he "tasted" a specific way). I think her behavior is pretty in line with Ozzie's opinions on how lust should be consumed.
From what I heard people say, Vivian had previously worked on a Kesha video or something and got her to play Queen Bee. Due to the legal battle between Kesha and her producer, Kesha’s producer was laying claim to everything she worked on. They tried replacing Kesha’s singing role and have her only do the spoken parts but I guess even that was not enough. So they shelved the episode and moved on not saying as to why at the time. Then once the legal battle settled, the episode immediately dropped and the reasons started coming out.
I liked the positive look and feel from Bee in this since gluttony is usually huge disgusting and largely obese. But in this she’s the complete opposite and gluttony is just viewed as what people might be craving instead of whatever else there eating.
Worst night of my life was a night my mom got drunk at my aunt’s house. This was before I could drive. My mom decided that it was a wonderful idea to drive my little brother and I home at midnight. She left her phone and I thought we were all going to die. Sorry you had to be the responsible one for your parents, I know it’s never fun.
Getting Kesha to voice Bee is a reference to a very early animated video Vivzie did for Die Young. It's what really pushed Vivzie into the spotlight back in the day, it was even how I found her channel at first, waaaay before Hazbin became popular or the pilot came out. It was removed from youtube around the time this episode came out, unfortunately. I'm sure someone has reposted it or something, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, that's how I was properly introduced to Vivzie's content (I'd occasionally stumbled across Zoophobia stuff before, but didn't pay much attention to it). And, as one can imagine, I was pretty much pissed when this animation was removed from RUclips!
@@Darth_Niki4 Yeah, same. I remember watching a couple Hazbin related speed paints and animated shorts when she released them, but I really didn't pay much attention until the pilot came out. It was her music videos and other animations that I really enjoyed before. A shame it was removed.
I'm starting to wonder if Loona might've been crushing on Bee a little bit. It's been confirmed that Loona's bisexual, and her expression when she looked up at Bee a bit after the 6-minute mark could be called 'enamored'. It's more of a headcanon than anything, but if true, it'd explain the speed at which Loona's mood _cratered_ after Tex introduced his girlfriend: not only did she learn how outclassed she was in competing for Tex's affection, she also got her _new_ crush shot down in the same moment.
Vivziepop did a fanmade music video for Ke$ha's song 'Die Young' with one of her old characters JayJay (on RUclips). Ke$ha loved it so much so I suppose they collaborated to have her in the show but her record label wouldn't allow her to sing so they got a soundalike.
Loona probably feels kind of weird about accepting Beelzebub’s hospitality since she owns the Hellhound Pound Loona was adopted from, especially if the Pound wasn’t a particularly good life. Bee seems to make her Beelzejuice from the pure good vibes of her partygoers. I think she misses Heaven, the way she looks wistfully at the light she’s conjuring during her song, and she’s trying to recapture the feeling of being there. She also mentioned she can taste the feelings of everyone at her party. Which means she probably knew something of what Loona was planning when they met. And Loona almost left in tears after that meeting. In all, I’m not sure Bee’s intentions are *quite* as altruistic as you make them out to be, even if she is pretty chill, all things considered.
I think its also because Loona seemingly has a history of over drinking, given that photo of her puking. But at the same time, it is clear she has bad social skills, as her response to Beelzebub being friendly was to be defensive and apathetic.
I’m still baffled by some of the hate this episode got that was directed towards Kesha just being a part of the series. It’s one thing to not be a fan of her music, but considering the hell she went through as an artist, and the fact that Vivzie blew up because of her fan animated video for “Die Young” being a fan of Kesha and coming full circle by getting her a voice role, it doesn’t merit the hate from the baggage of someone’s ex that played her music too much
Yeah... this episode is the reason I stopped watching a particular reaction channel. The guy spent the entire video complaining about, basically, the *existence* of Kesha; just rambling about how much he dislikes her as a person because he doesn't like her music. Like, the first time, it's an opinion. The second time, it's an annoying opinion. But the fifth time in a single episode, when the audience is there to watch you react to the *show?* That all rubbed me the wrong way, and I haven't watched them since.
7:50 - nice Skittles reference... never thought of that. (I've seen a short video of "Inside of every demon is a rainbow" - Charlie's song in the Hazbin Hotel pilot episode - with that scene...) Seeing Kesha in this episode (not for the singing, but still as a voice actor) was a "perfect circle" type of feeling. Vivienne made an animation years ago for Kesha's song "Die young" - using her "Zoophobia" characters. This animation was taken down as soon as the legal battle startet (that also caused the delay of this episode)
I think this is my favourite reaction to this episode - I think working a nightclub really clued you in right away where this episode was going, whereas a lot of people don't trust Bee for most of the episode. Your empathy for Blitzø is so sweet to see too, and catching the moment where Loona calls him dad. Blitzø is such a jerk to people and especially after Ozzie's I think not a lot of people were keen on giving him much grace, but unfortunately I have basically *been* the Blitzø in my life (even his backstory lines up with mine in some respects) and not only is it hurtful to see a harsh reflection of myself in a character like this, but it hurts a little bit seeing people dog on him too. Your understanding of his character is so refreshing to me.
Its great to see loona to get her own episode shes my favourite character in Helluva Boss and I hope that she gets more episodes in the near future. I hope that loona and that husky hellhound at 11:00 eventually become a couple later on in the show. I think beezlebub is the perfect older sister figure that loona needs in her life she can help her socialise and open up to others more. Finally loona looking after her dad at the end of the episode was just heartwarming to watch and she finally called Blitz dad not once but twice. 😊
Funny you say the B side of a cassette tape! We get to meet 2 sins in the Finale!! A side is A for Asmodeus and B side is B for Beelzebub! I’m always so excited to see your reactions! Can’t wait for more!!
I think think this episode was intended to be more of a celebration for the completion of the first season of Helluva Boss? Because with Ke$ha as the quest star, this episode could've passed mostly as a music video. (Full 😉 circle.)
That's because it was. Season 1 was originally meant to end with a 2-parter and when Episode 1x07 premiered it even had "Part 1" in its title. Episode 8 was meant to premiere a month later, as both were already finished. But due to legal trouble caused by Kesha's manager (who she was in a legal battle with), the Episode wasn't allowed to be released (and the title of Episode 1x07 was instead editted to no longer feature "Part 1"). Basically the manager kept claiming any piece of media associated with Kesha in any way, specifically to "get back at her" because she wanted to cut off from his music label (Dr. Luke's). In the end, they came to a compromise where Kesha wrote a new song (which she had to do, because the one SpindleHorse originally wrote with her supposedly broke some fine print in her contract) and she was able to voice Beelzebub, but she was not allowed to sing her songs (instead they hired Rochelle Diamante who sounds quite similar to Kesha). Her lawsuit against the label was already ongoing at the time, for around 6 months - and she won it around 2-3 weeks after the Episode's premiere.
Because the whole "Sins can't date normal hellborn" thing is almost exclusive to Ozzie. It's all about his brand and the Sin it represents - Lust, not love. Bee being the Sin of Gluttony isn't really limited by this - hell, it's on brand for her to self-indulge in any way she wishes...
@@TheCursedCat1927Exactly. Some people have mistakenly compared Asmodeus' situation to Stolas', but they aren't the same. As the embodiment of lust, Asmodeus is expected to be the ultimate bachelor. Being in a relationship with one person just looks weird for his reputation. And as for Stolas, his family clearly values traditional class distinctions, and royals are not expected to have those kinds of relations with commoners.
So, something from the last episode that was easily missed was that in the photos that Blitzø was going through on his phone was a pic of Luna's adoption. The bottom of the certificate is signed by Beelzebub, which leads us to recognize that the Hellhound Pounds are in Gluttony. This makes sense because the puppies are probably conceived at these parties that Bee throws. Part of why Luna wouldn't want to warm up to Bee is that Luna probably, rightfully, recognizes the role Bee has in those pounds being full. She also recognizes that Bee makes money from it. And she was in there for 17 years, was traumatized by her experience. It would be logical for Luna to hate Bee. I think BOTH of them were very patient with the other.
Really nice reaction. Love that you referred to this as a B-side because that's exactly what I thought when I saw it! But, yeah, I love the character work in this show! Glad to see you appreciating it.
This is my first time commenting, but I just wanted to say that I’ve really been enjoying your commentary on the series! It’s been wonderful to see someone catch and understand so many of the little intricacies of these characters that can be easy to gloss over. The final few episodes of S1 gave us even more depth, and I’m super excited to see you dive into S2 next! Speaking of, since you’re going to the LVLUP Expo, do you plan to binge S2 before then? I was just thinking it would suck to get spoiled since there may be talk of the new upcoming episode at the con. You could still post the reactions once a week like usual, but if you have the time it might be good to get caught up before then! (Just an idea, I don’t mean to pressure you into overtime filming haha)
I've been debating on what to do about that. I think I will be 3 episodes into the season before the con at a normal rate but recording them ahead of time just in case is probably the best bet!
Watching through all your Helluva reactions and really enjoying them! As someone who has some really similar emotional issues to Blitz, hearing you talk about his situation with such empathy and kindness meant a lot. With all your reactions you always seem very attuned to these things with characters and pick up on them so quickly, and its really interesting to see your thoughts and feelings. But yeah, you really zeroed in on that constant tug of war that particular pattern of trauma responses can lock you in-‐you feel desperately lonely and want so very badly to connect but the fear and anxiety of potential re-wounding (from rejection, abandonment, etc) is often too much to bear, and so you retract first. And sometimes even when you're offered everything you want in a relationship, you don't trust it or, like you said, don't feel worthy of it, and so you withdraw. You feel stuck in a one step forward two steps back when it comes to people and relationships. Seeing that internal push-pull articulated so well in Blitz has been really cathartic for me. But I'm lucky I have access to therapy and a stable supportive partner who loves me, which is helping me heal and try to learn new patterns. Hopefully Blitz can also learn there are indeed people out there that you don't need to be afraid of and he can work to let in the love people do have for him despite all his prickly edges
Out of all the relationships we see in helluva boss, bee and Tex are the second most healthiest relationship we see besides moxxie and Millie. Also we see more transgendered imps, ftm and mtf imp.
Your observation skills are so good it’s pissing me off😂😂 (dw it’s not actually but I’m really jealous) like when I first watched this show it took me AGES to figure out that bee was the one who made the beezlejuice
i want to give some more depth also to loona - it's also possible that parties like these just aren't her vibe. she wasn't feeling the cotton candy song like everyone else was, and even if bee was trying to be nice to loona, loona seemed to have been reluctant to give back the same energy. i assume she left early not just because bee is tex's girlfriend - but she maybe just felt out of place. she's the total opposite of bee who is thriving in this scene, even calling it a small get together when it's a full blown house (mansion?) party you have blitz down SO spot on. i cant wait for you to find out the big stuff in season 2 ;)
And now you have witnessed the Gluttony Ring of Hell, evidenced by the Yellow Sky... alonside it's Ruler Queen Bee... Therefore you have already seen 5 of the 7 Rings of Hell... Pride (Pentagram City, Imp City) Wrath (Harvest Moon Festival) Gluttony (Bee's Party) Greed (Loo Loo Land) Lust (Ozzie's) Leaving only the Envy and the Sloth Rings unseen for now.
Man, your reactions are so good. So nice to see such genuine emotions and empathy shining through - and your commentary and analysis are spot on too. Pleasure to watch 👍
1:26 SO SO SO ENVIOUS!!!! I wanna go to the upcoming LVL UP expo in April so BAD!! A lot of the helluva cast is gonna be there, omg i would literally give a limb to go there but its so far outta my reach, its a whole different continent
Just to answer your question about Bee, she is the sin of Gluttony, basically the embodiment of it, she and Ozzie are part of the seven deadly sins, with Ozzie being lust and Bee being Gluttony, Lucifer being the king of hell is also one of the seven deadly sins, and is the one on top, him being the king of the pride ring, there will be more of the deadly sins later on in the show
When you finish watching Helluva Boss, if you're still looking for a show to react to, you should watch Murder Drones. It's by the same studio that made The Amazing Digital Circus, it's also on RUclips, and it's so good!
Just so you know that queen bee is a hellhound with wings like so she can fly around in a flying dance routine of some kind and queen bee is a hellhound a winged hellhound a flying hellhound with wings hybrid of some kind and that she can have magic Abilities to do
As for Beelzebub's design from the series. It is, as I see it, a mixture of Greek the gods Hestia, Dionysus and Artemis, Cerberus, the guard Gluttony from Dante's Divine Comedy, Kitsune the Nine-Tailed Fox from Japanese mythology, Fairies from Celtic mythology and English folklore, and Beelzebub from Philistine mythology and Judeo-Christian theology. Her appearance is explained by the fact that she is still a fly, but a hoverfly. These insects are known for looking like bees, but they are actually flies. She used to have the title of Queen of the Flies, but then it ceased to be relevant, and she not only changed the name, but also the image and image of her Circle. She is also probably the former powerful Cherub, as we know these Celestials are crossbreeds of animals. They even wanted to insert the Cherub-Lion in the fourth episode. And most importantly, Beelzebub is a Canaanite deity who became a demon-false god with the advent of Judaism.
See this is what I'm talking about. The more you sit and just look and think, there's so much you can pull from and appreciate about the art and attention to detail in the world.
Theres a theory when the poodle says youre supposed to keep things that bring you joy that they knew each other in the past and loona was brought back to the "pound".
I think (considering the theory that hellhounds come from gluttony) it's more like the king signing diplomas and degrees in Spain. I don't know the king, yet I've got "his" signature on my highschool and IT school certificates. Also, it's not even his real signature, it's just a government official that signs them.
@@LycanLucianI was just not sure, since demonic signatures are not just simple like people have. This would also explain how frivolously Blitz communicated with Queen Bee, since they had already met. I just don’t know, maybe she just signs these documents in batches
@@kfphunter1315For both of you I can explain. First Bee is maybe just didn't remember him because they are met as five years ago when loona was are 18 years old, now she is 22, plus comon she is on meeting with thousands of Imps and Hellhounds. And Blitz is too drunk for remember her. Also Loona is probably She was not there at the signing of the document, but sat in a cage and just after it she is came to him. There is also a theory about that singning of documents on Gluttony is work of Belphegor and truly there is "Bel" instead of "Bee". How it is even possible you say? Well Ozzie is doing a Robo Fizzies for Mammon, or Mam gives Ozzie Fizzarolli for his own business, so why not. And also its possible that she even doesn't appear to sign documents and there is special Royal seal for signature.
I think for adoption papers Bee doesn't meet with you she just signs to finalize the process. I think Luna's adoption might be special as it seems like most adopted hounds are treated as pets or servants while ones who age out of the system are more hired muscle. Blitz adopted Loona like a child, now it might just be how he treats her and sees adoption and legally speaking she is a pet but it might also be a more extensive process and Loona is legally Loona Buckzo (Blitz's last name, yea he's Blitzo Buckzo)
You just met your third sin, sins are beings that embody a sin, they are some of the most important and powerful people of Hell. You already met Ozzy who is the sin of lust. Then Bee mentioned two more sins, Satan for Wraith, and Belphagor for Sloth. While Lucifer is also a sin. The party was on the Gluttony Ring. Each sin has it's own ring, and demons associated with that sin. Like imps for wraith, that is their home ring. While we don’t know for sure, but most people believe hellhounds are for Gluttony. We have no idea how sins became sins, except for lucifer who fell. The sins can be similar to their demons, but are not their demons. So Bee is similar to a Hellhound, but not a Hellhound. Sins are their own species kinda.
Not all the way through yet but you asked if she was a hellhound or a bee, I could be wrong cause I'm newer to the fandom too but I believe she is the literal sin of Gluttony. Like how Ozzie is the sin of Lust
true, but that doesn't mean she can't be anything despite that. ozzie for example is a bird, simlair to stolas. it's a bit harder to tell due to his appearance, but he has clawed feet like a bird, a rooster's plumage (albeit made out of fire) and a rooster's tail feathers. bee meanwhile seems to be a mix of a fly (she's most likely based around something like a hoverfly, a fly that looks like a bee) and a hellhound.
@@thechatteringclown Yes and no. Ozzie's design is basically an almost 1:1 copy of the way he's described in one of Solomon's Stories titled "Ars Goetia." So his design is based in his source material - just sort of retooled into the Show's aesthethic. Whereas Bee's design is something that Vivizie specifically said she wanted to give her own spin on and therefor is an original concept. Vivzie also said on her Twitter, that Beelzebub is specifically a mix of both a Bee and a Hellhound, so there's that.
Fun fact, the two Imps sitting on the sofa at 14:29 are confirmed to be trans. You can tell because the male Imp has typically female horn patterns, mostly black with thin white stripes, while the female Imp has typically male horn patterns, large segments of black and white.
Basically the record label that Kesha worked for (Dr. Luke's) kept causing issues for SpindleHorse, because her manager was doing it to "get back at her" because she wanted to quit her contract with his label. Hence the Episode was put on hold (after already being finished) for over a year. At the time the lawsuit was already ongoing for around 6 months and she won it - if I remember right - around 2-3 weeks after the Episode's premiere. The whole "manager" situation also indirectly caused Vivize's "Die Young" music video to be taken down from RUclips indefinetly. It's still available to watch only because random people just ended up reuploading it on their own.
I realize these must be really pre-recorded, but part of me really wishes you could react to a fan song called the ringleader. Because it is a fan song, and it only works in the concept of the episode of Aussies and queen bee, not in later episodes. At least not quite as much. I don't think there's anything wrong with the contacts after seeing official media after it, before experiencing the song, but it can help if you're the type that has a tendency to get confused between Cannon and Fannon ...
The way you were tearing up just for blitz to suddenly throw up💀
Right?! 🤣

I never noticed that theme for each ring, but I think that is correct
well, according to dante's inferno cerberus was referred to as "the guardian of gluttony", so hellhounds being native to the gluttony ring makes a lot of sense.
@@thechatteringclown I also think that the Hazbin/Helluva Boss-Hell is roughly based on Dante's model of Hell.
Ozzy is quite in tune with the succubi/inccubi.
I would’ve thought the Loansharks come from the ocean ring, Envy, and Mammon doesn’t have any offspring.
I still laugh every time seeing Loona actually squaring off against one of the seven deadlies until she saw Tex's reaction and backed down.
Small reminder Beelzebub's Juice is the stuff we saw Verosica Mayday drink. It is what turned that fish in the human world into a monster.
Husker's bar also sells Beelzejuice, you can see labels for it.
Funfact: The lava in Bee's torso is believed to be why Bee can eat so much and remain so thin, the lava instantly evaporates anything she eats

Nailed it, yes! She’s the ruler of the Gluttony Ring much like how Asmodeus rules Lust. Each ring has one like them, such as Mammon in Greed, Leviathan in Envy, Satan in Wrath, Belphegor (the girl with the party drugs Bee mentioned) in Sloth, and of course Lucifer himself in Pride.
ngl i like every ring but only one has ASSHOLE AS RULER (ekhm mam *ekh* mon
Eh no it is bee@@manicms
while it got a lot of hate originally, with people claiming that it didn't depict the sin of gluttony properly, bee's design is actually pretty interesting.
for one, despite the name, there are hints to her being based on a fly, rather than a bee, as is appropriate for the lord of flies. her wings are much more fly like than bee like, with her only having two wings, instead of a bee's four wings, hinting at the fact that she's more based around a fly mimicking the appearances of a bee, like a hoverfly for example.
also, instead of making her super skinny or super fat, her stomach is a lava lamp, so she can never get full, since her stomach instantly burns any food she eats, keeping her eternally hungry for more.
lastly, why she isn't focused on the classical interpretation of gluttony, with it solely being based around eating a lot, bee represents a more general concept of gluttony, embodying a gluttonous desire for parties, drugs and feeling good.
it's a very creative take on the concept, and i honestly prefer this over a super cliché design of yet another super skinny/super fat dude surrounded by flies most people seem to have wanted.
Still can't believe they got Ke$ha. Shame she couldn't sing in it, but she did a great job!
Yes she does! Who do you think that is singing Cotton Candy?
She wrote it but didn't sing it. They got someone who sounds amazingly similar, though she does voice Bee normally though @FillmGeekOfDoom
@@FillmGeekOfDoom she doesnt, she wrote the song but someone else sings it due to legal troubles with keshas studio
@@FillmGeekOfDoom what do you think the legal issues with the episode were? Ke$ha had problems with her producer, and due to all that going on she legally couldn't sing. She co-wrote the song but didnt perform it, just look at the episode's credits.

Bee is a fox bee. But as a sin of Gluttony she's probably a rare species in hell like Ozzy is.
The sins are normally fallen angles that got kicked out of heaven with Lucifer during the rebellion. They are not native hell demons.
Yea not many 3 header fire roosters. Though Ozzie has family he's part of the Aries Goetia, however his status as one of the Sins means he outranks the Goetia King Paimon. Paimon is Stolas' father meaning Ozzie is like his cousin.
@@johannbezuidenhout2976
Yes, in their source material.
Fun fact. Striker’s horse in episode 5 was a test to pull off the effects for Bee’s hair and midsection
Those final few moments are absolutely soul crushing but man, the animation budget saved from prior episodes for this one was totally worth it.
By the way, satan and Lucifer in this universe are two different people, Lucifer being from the pride which is where hazbin takes place and satan from wrath, where the episode with striker took place, and btw if your curious about the scenery, you can tell where the characters are by the color of the sky!
Pride Ring- Red (Hazbin Hotel)
Wrath- Orange (Striker episode)
Gluttony- Yellow (current episode)
Greed- Green (Loo Loo Land episode)
Lust- Blue ( Ozzy Episode)
Envy- Purple
Sloth- Pink
I feel like none of those colors go with the sin they represent. I've always saw pride = purple, wrath = red, gluttony = orange, greed = yellow, lust = pink, envy = green and sloth = blue. I believe those are the correct colors for the sins. Did Viv change the colors for her own story or is she following a different version than what I'm used to?
@@2amCryptid
For now it seems like her personal choice.
Even up till now people get them mixed up
@@Kadukunahaluu
Yes and in the Show the name "Satan" is just his actual name.
Lucifer is more "The Devil" while Satan is the one in charge of the Imps (which are native to his Wrath Ring).
Yes, she is the embodiment of Glutton
Fun fact: Verosica’s flask (the one that created a giant fish) was full of Beezle Juice
Btw to help with any confusion I’m pretty sure that I heard that satan and Lucifer are two different characters
This is true. Lucifer is in Hazbin Hotel, and I'm sure we'll meet Satan in Helluva Boss eventually.
I still can’t believe they managed to score Ke$ha!
Season 2 next week looking forward to it.
Especially episodes 6 &7, for me, can't wait to see his reaction to those episodes
@@ryanlow6901 same here. Also episode 1 and 2 as well.
Funny thing: the two dogs loona talks to at the beginning of the episode have similar designs to Vaggie and Velvette’s og designs.
Your reactions are seriously the best, you analize a lot and pay very close attention to what's going on, amazing to watch
Omni, remember, Lucifer is Pride, Satan is Wrath
No worries I got that locked in!

"Hellhound or bee?"
Fly, actually, as in Lord of the.
Not in this version.
Hazbin's Beelzebub is a Fox/Bee hybrid, according to Vivzie (the show's creator).
7:50 - nice Skittles reference... never thought of that. (I've seen a short video of "Inside of every demon is a rainbow" - Charlie's song in the Hazbin Hotel pilot episode - with that scene...)
Seeing Kesha in this episode (not for the singing, but still as a voice actor) was a "perfect circle" type of feeling.
Not me binging all your helluva boss reactions and them going to look for the next one and realising I've caught up and I have to wait 😭😱
Totally off topic, but that shirt HAS to be the most terrifying shirt I've seen. An eagle screeching while baring its bloody fangs. x_x
Cobra Kai! Great show!

Vortex, a normal Hellhound is together with a Sin and no one seem to care... interesting :)
God the ending of this episode hits so hard. Loved your discussion at the end. Great reaction as always

Cannot wait until next Friday. It's gonna hit different.

i want to give some more depth also to loona - it's also possible that parties like these just aren't her vibe. she wasn't feeling the cotton candy song like everyone else was, and even if bee was trying to be nice to loona, loona seemed to have been reluctant to give back the same energy. i assume she left early not just because bee is tex's girlfriend - but she maybe just felt out of place. she's the total opposite of bee who is thriving in this scene, even calling it a small get together when it's a full blown house (mansion?) party

Bruh we ain’t ready for next episode
Theres a theory when the poodle says youre supposed to keep things that bring you joy that they knew each other in the past and loona was brought back to the "pound".
Luna technically knows Beelzebub. Her signature is on the adoption document, which can be seen on Blitz's phone in the previous episode
*Loona but yeah.
According to Asmodeus, he has been there since the inception of Hell, it is likely they simply manifested along with the creation of Hell.
THE HOLE SESSION 2 is back stories!!!!
ITS SO FLUFFING CUTE ❤❤❤❤❤
@@thechatteringclown Asmodeus is a literal Cock demon
@@thechatteringclown
Yes and no.
8:17 did any felt that ballbuster i know i did? poor guy
I loved your reaction ❤
10:16 DAM Blitz must have had a tough break up
If you look at the thumbnails of the videos each one introducing the Sins will have their sigil. That will help you too when Greed pops up
But the greed episode doesn’t have a sigil thumbnail? I remember being so unreasonably mad about it lol
@@ConstantDistres5you really expect mammon to not fuck with his own marketing?
I only noticed when I started making my thumbnail...I was like wait... OH?!
Fun fact, the two Imps sitting on the sofa at 14:29 are confirmed to be trans. You can tell because the male Imp has typically female horn patterns, mostly black with thin white stripes, while the female Imp has typically male horn patterns, large segments of black and white.
That’s just being straight with extra steps! (Joke)
Hell yeah
The "particular person" is Ke$ha, lol.
A little context, since Hellhounds are dogs, "Bitch" is like their N word, which is why so many reacted to Loona saying it.
I cannot wait until he sees The Circus next week.
no like I cannot wait the suspense is killing me-
Bee is Beelzebub. The ruler of glutony. She is a unique demon like Asmodeus. Not hellhound.
The legal issue was copyright clearances over some of the music, from what I hear...
It's why Ke$ha isn't singing the song she wrote.
Basically the record label that Kesha worked for (Dr. Luke's) kept causing issues for SpindleHorse, because her manager was doing it to "get back at her" because she wanted to quit her contract with his label.
Hence the Episode was put on hold (after already being finished) for over a year.
Bee is just the most chill of the Sins... Except for Belphegor maybe her being sloth...
Man, blitz's "mmno" reminds me of myself trying to hold it in when I'm on the verge of pukin. Annnd he sounds like me when I barf..
This was all one episode but it had to be cut until the Kesha situation could be resolved.
I realize these must be really pre-recorded, but part of me really wishes you could react to a fan song called the ringleader. Because it is a fan song, and it only works in the concept of the episode of Aussies and queen bee, not in later episodes. At least not quite as much. I don't think there's anything wrong with the contacts after seeing official media after it, before experiencing the song, but it can help if you're the type that has a tendency to get confused between Cannon and Fannon
...
4:13 It’s a lot more offensive when you realize they’re all HellHounds!
First to say first
