I am truly very grateful that you made a video about this exact problem! It fixed my camera in minutes and it was so easy. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your video cause I couldn't find any better help online, THANK YOU!!!
Hello, Thankyou for providing such a clear presentation. I have just come across my OM 10 bought when I was 15years old in 1985. This problem occurred 10years later and I have never had it out until now. I came across this and was able to fix it in minutes. Again, thank you for this as it is bringing a wave of nostalgia for me. All the best. Al Gurr
Thank you so much for this! My OM10 has tremendous sentimental value, and its rediscovery, couple of years ago was offset by this exact fault, now, one 30sec. fix later, I am now able to consider using it once more. Multi-thumbs up
Hey, thanks a lot for making a video. I tried to follow your guide, however, although we have the same model the inside of mine is completely different and I have no clue where everything goes. I wanted to ask how did it get stuck for you?
got stuck mid use through the camera just because of the age and previous owner not servicing any of it. after making the video i did a full service on it now it works like a dream. originally got stuck because of a bolt being loose
I believe i have the same problem, but my OM10 has different insides, meaning that the lever you adjusted does not have a screw in it in my case. Any idea how to adjust it then?
I have the same issue except on my model there is no bolt on the hand you are tightening, its welded on instead its freely movable and i have tried moving it closed to the other arm but still no luck. Any ideas on what i could do of unable to tighten the arm? Thanks
i’m not sure if the welding is oem so it could have just been a fix from previous owner but if it came like that there must be a different place to tighten it
Thank you so much! I was able to make my moms OM10 work thanks to this video🥰🥰

I just came across this problem and I'm gonna attempt to fix it with your video, will reply to this comment with an update.
released advance with this, thanks - now the shutter keeps freezing 🤣
@@_mivin might have to make another video then mate 😂
The lever you are pressing, for me there is no tension in it, and won’t click down
Any idea what that could be?
the *rod* inside may have snapped or the advance lever is not connected anymore

there is an adjustment just in a different place, google the assembly of the bottom of the camera to find it as it’s difficult to describe in writing
I‘m having the same issue, have you already found a solution? Thanks!
