Today we met up with Abdullah, the owner of a beautiful 1st Gen Runx RSI.
some fly by's and a massive burnout
The RunX RSi was a big deal in South Africa, it wore the iconic RSI badge.
The standard RunX RSi is a very quick car. The road tests suggested it was ordinary compared to its competitors, but the street - it was a true giant slayer. Once it was in ‘lift’, very few cars could keep up, and let’s not forget how strong it was on top end! Those that mastered the launch in the RSi were gods among men, and it took incredible skill to get it perfect.
These cars are still extremely sought after by Toyota fans.

I’m from South African but I moved to newzealand 15 years ago and I have 2001 Toyota Corolla runx z with a 2zzge it’s automatic but I love it

This is just crazy for me to see a burnout done with a manual plus on an runx which i have always thought that it cant be tuned but today i am amazed
These cars are really good and never disappoints.
Love my 2000 gts. While I admit the 2zz isn't exactly one of the greats as far as build able engines, but I love the sound, and lift is so much fun in 1st through 3rd gear🤘🤙

I have a 2003 ZZE123 Corolla Fielder Z-Aerotourer wagon Auto/Tiptronic with the original 2ZZGE with 222,000kms. Reaches about 190km/h easily, then limiter kicks in.........Everything stock, including steel wheels and hubcaps, no major repairs.
Best car I ever owned.
Oh ! In my country, it is an offence for front-seaters not to wear seat-belts !

Most oil leaks turn up from cheap gaskets alternatives being used together with incorrect torque setting , its starts to show up faster when you car generally runs at hot operating temps ... Opels run hot

Not necessarily cheap gaskets, Toyota rubbers do age and become brittle
