Ichiro began his MLB career at the age of 27 and finished his career with 3089 hits. Here’s how many hits these players collected after their age-27 season: Derek Jeter - 2457 Tony Gwynn - 2371 Cal Ripken Jr. - 2100 Rod Carew - 2208 Miguel Cabrera - 1954 Ichiro is in a category of his own.
My favorite Ichiro moment is when he walked off Mariano Rivera on the first pitch of the AB in '09, for his first MLB walkoff homerun! And it was a 2-run come from behind homerun with 2 outs!
Genuinely amazed that I've never heard about that Ichirio throw to Olerud. Another masterpiece by my favorite musician that's also a part time baseball content creator
I can’t wait to see 51 retired in Seattle, especially given it wasn’t just worn by Ichiro but by Randy Johnson as well. It’ll look pretty damn good on that wall next to Jackie’s 42, the kid’s 24, and Edgar’s 11.
my favorite Ichiro moment was his running catch to rob Albert Pujols of extra bases and preserving Jamie Moyer's 1-2-3 inning in the 2003 All Star Game
quibble: the long bar in イチロー follows the direction of the writing. if it's top to bottom, the bar goes downwards. (something something, extends the prior vowel, blah blah nerd shit) good vid i enjoy watching ichiro appreciation
Damn the biggest insecurities I had while making this video was accidently butchering the Japanese language either vebally or in writing. Noted. Thank you for turning this into a learning moment and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I thought it was pretty clear it was Omar Vizquel, who was accused of sexually assaulting a bat boy with autism before reaching a settlement out of court.
The funny part about Ichiro's 2001 MVP is that he wasn't even the best player on the Mariners that year and was barely a top-5 guy in the AL West. But the story was too cool, so he got it.
I saw him play in Albuquerque a while back against the Rockies in an exhibition game and he was a total asshole. He would not sign autographs. Fug him.

@@jimharper2180 Pete rose also had like 5000 more at bats than Ichiro

Thanks for letting me know foolish dropped a new video. I’m subbed but didn’t get a notification
Watched them back to back. If Baseball Doesn't Exist also released a video today, that would've been epic!

mariano also only allowed five such walk-off home runs his entire career
Me too. I like that it sort of proves that he had that power and could utilize it when necessary.

Don’t forget occasional TJ Friedl stan

Been a Mariners fan since the Dorktown doc, really got me into baseball. Now I’m a die hard Ichiro, KGJ, and Randy Johnson fan
Who isn’t. 3 amazing players that are way to easy to fall in love with. Baseball for the win brother
Ichiro is absolutely top 3 of my favorite players. He was a blast to watch and fun to listen to.
Bro the part with ichiro cursing was hilarious
Best bat to ball hitter of all time I’m so glad I got to watch ichiro play in his prime awesome vid man
Talk about picking your spots. Ichiro knew exactly how the last AB was gonna end. Hats off for the vid always two thumbs up.
Wish I could give this comment 2 thumbs up, but a heart will have to do
Couldn't get back to sleep so I'm smoking a joint, which made the intro to the video extra hilarious. Great work as always, keep it up!
I’ll take every opportunity I can to share bizarre commercials I find from the early 2000s
@@nomorefielders i full heartedly support this, it takes me back!
I wish the posting system stared earlier. so many great players could have came over MLB history would be completely different
Imagine if Sadaharu Oh got a chance to play overseas
As a Cleveland fan, I had the opportunity to see Ichiro numerous times live. He was alot of fun to watch. He was entertaining.
As a twins fan, I really need you guys to lose a game or two. Pretty please.

Ichiro is a top 5 OF of all time prolly top 3
Fantastic video
I see Ichiro i click. Its that simple
Your writing is so good.
Thank you!
American fans never really got to see the pendulum swing. Ichiro turned it into a more simple step during his last season in Japan.

10 consecutive 200-hit seasons. That's it. No more need for baseball, people, let's pack it up.
Just casually calling someone a pedo off hand really caught me off guard. Who are we talking about? The context provided did nothing to help.

An handsomely paid 160 ops plus guy running on a Underpaid 126 ops guy with around 170 career games and almost 60 war difference between them.
The NPB saw what happened to the Negro Leagues and said "Nope! Not us!" and put something in place to protect themselves.
