Im a retired US Navy Submariner. We compact and jettison our trash in special weighted galvanized sheet metal cans. Yes also save all the non biodegradeable materials (plastic and such) freeze it and dispose of it at an in port site. The Sailors that compact the trash get special training on how to properly compact all the trash. Especially empty glass bottles and containers. If you ever leave the lid on something like a large empty pickle jar, MAN O MAN the explosion/implosion it makes will wake the dead AND give away your position. VERY VIOLENT and VERY LOUD! So we are very careful about properly venting sealed objects like bottles and cans. Maybe you can pressure test a nice big EMPTY glass pickle jar. Excellent channel!!
always wondered how you deal with glass bottles/jars, thought that they were really sub optimal for...well, a sub, coz if you drop one by accident it makes a very unnatural and loud noise in the "quiet" ocean
Thanks for that very interesting detail! I'll dedicate an episode simulating submarine trash by an incompetent ensign. Let me know what else I should add to the trash heap. Cheers!
TDU operator on my first patrol while messcooking. sucky job but you are right. whoe be it to the man who let a sealed bottle or jar be in the can. the guys in sonar would be all over your ass. Not to mention the wardroom.
Hey, the first clip is from my hometown of Hamburg. Greetings from a fellow engineer from Germany 👋 Btw. the boat didn't sink, the so called "flat irons" are pretty safe. Cheers and congratulations to 10k
Congrats on the 10K, still one of the best new channels out there! It's like the hydraulic press channel cubed, but the pressure comes from _every_ angle!
I think that it is interesting to mention that full bottles probably can reach a much higher crush depth vs partials as the liquids are less compressible than air and provide more support to the container, limiting the amount of plastic deformation. Interesting stuff!
Your jacket is fresh lol. Nothing gay about it unless it’s an inherently happy jacket. Righteous content as always man, keep it up 🤙 ETA - I absolutely love the sound created by slow mo Tabasco implosion lol how eerie.
Just so you know a crack will propagate through a pane of glass at roughly mach 4. To get a really clear picture and actually see the tabasco bottle imploding you would need to film at 60,000 frames per second or faster.
your pressure chamber both fascinates me while simultaneously terrifying me. what are your calculated specs for that bomb, oops, I mean well-built pressure chamber
@@TheDropzoneChannel That Boat is a HAGAD-Fähre in Hamburg. It happend because a Wave hit the windows of the lower deck in an unfortunate way. Only the glas got damaged and the captain don't even noticed the brocken glas until a passenger called the captain and the passenger returned seating. Typical Hamburg mindset, everything is fine as long as the HADAG is running.
i think you should make a follow up video where you mix these things together and drink it, or use it om food and eat it. and the Tabasco made it pretty damn close to Titanic, and fun fact about that, theu have actually recovered intact wine and champagne bottles from titanic that has been auctioned for over 1 million dollars and has been tasted and drunk, apparently still perfectly drinkable.
I tried to fuse coffee with fruits on episode 21 and it worked. Let me know what else I can try. Maybe spicy fruits with the world's hottest pepper sauce?
Fried chicken and coleslaw is science. The ship sank because they could not find the auxillary tomates switch. Tobasco breaking up sounds sir... those poor devils! Your wife has flaws I am sure, but her eyesight is darn near perfect.
I'm so happy I found this channel. Can't wait to see everything that gets dropped down. This is too cool.

That Tabasco sauce bottle almost matched the Titan, good job McIlhenney!
The crew would have been about the same consistency too. A watery slurry.
I was wondering how close of a model it would be.

I really hope your channel gets a lot of views soon! You deserve it!
The Tabasco sauce surprised me. I thought for sure that the plastic lid would fail.
RUclips recommendation is spot on.
Found this Titan reenactment, right after
watching a documentary on Stockton Rush.
Not a condiment, but canned sardines could be interesting, and slightly poetic. Thanks as always for the great content, love your work.

Thank you. I love this channel so much! Merry Christmas, friend!
Sorry for bad English.
I'm now calling for the Heinz company to design a bottle capable of surviving challenger deep. Preferably the heinz chili sauce.
They actually found a beer bottle there. Opened of course
So you want them to design a bottle specifically for littering?
@@ryelor123 no I want it to survive my fridge

Congratz on 10k, Murdoc 😊 you definitely deserve more.
Bro you just unlocked a market I didn't know existed. This channel about to pop the fuck off.
Tobasco sauce caps are pretty thick too, if that matters. That was cool, thanks!
I think your jacket looks fabulous.

ETA - I absolutely love the sound created by slow mo Tabasco implosion lol how eerie.
I had my sound on when the headphone warning came on like "how loud could it be" and I can confirm it's the loudest thing I've ever heard on youtube
I wasn't paying attention to the video and was reading the comments on that part. My ears are blown.
How about a little meat puppet or sausage labeled "Stockton"?
Every time I see that you've made a new video, it makes me very happy. Thank you!
the thing about dry ice is: it's basicly what's used for carbonated drinks . . so I'd say it's just going to comress into a solid "dry ice ball"
Snazzy and handsome, good stuff sir
I love Tabasco and knew it would go Deep! The opening is a pin prick.
I knew the Tabasco lid wouldn’t fail.
i love this guy!

Ketchup is a non-newtonian liquid too, it may have been part of the funny business with the ketchup drop.
for clarification
the ship in the intro didn't sink, just the windows burst and no one got injured
Thanks for the clarification before I get skewered. I was about to cut that intro out since it was a bit edgy.

make a mini carbon fiber sub and put some hotdogs in it
I was going to use blocks of ballistics gel, but yeah... it's coming
i didnt take that warning seriously and i live to regret it
TIL you’re in Canada!
Do C02 canisters !
What would be a good plastic container condiment that would actually stand a chance?
Would a syringe bottle handle more pressure, because it has a smaller opening than the Tabasco bottle, or would the membrane fail early?
Would like to see Mentos (sugar free mints) in a bottle of tomato ketchup .

Speaking of 10k, what is your hydrophone? I want to know the specs!
Can inanimate objects catch Mercedez Benzenes?

Can you test this with the most expensive blowup doll money can buy, and see where her back blows out?

Done. See episode 9
Send down a steel pipe that's sealed on both ends. Think of it like a mini Titan.
Try a mini tobasco bottle to see if it goes even deeper
